I put my vote in, although I think were up a creek without a paddle on this issue. As much complaining as there has been about this and no signs of any dev saying a word, doesnt look good on getting it fixed. Heck they have been MIA for quite a while now, and while I think its wishful thinking on some's part to think they are hard at work on a patch, Id say they are probably working on next yrs game now.

Up until this year they had been very good about being honest and open about issues, so its surprising that they have turned their back on us like EA and 2k does with issues. I never thought they would do this to us, because they all seemed to be diehard baseball fans, and I think some sports gaming companies thats not the case, but maybe they just have been fooliing us this whole time, and now they are the only one to make a baseball game they have decided to start shafting people. Not that they had any real competition in the past either, but atleatst there was another game being made, where as this year there isnt. Still surprising to see them do this to all of us, considering franchise mode is the #1 priority with the customers, unlike some other sports games now days.

Agree. Perhaps next year when they spend days pimping the game on the site, they should be reminded to also appear when things are less than spectacular. I'm rather upset that we'll end up having to pay $500 for a patch for this game.

Seem like a patch for the ps4 is likely to come but for the ps3 im unsure .

Agree. Perhaps next year when they spend days pimping the game on the site, they should be reminded to also appear when things are less than spectacular. I'm rather upset that we'll end up having to pay $500 for a patch for this game.

Sorry, but that language seems wholly inappropriate and entirely unfair.

There are certainly hype machines for sports games that "pimp" their game and wind up delivering substandard products, but that cannot fairly be said of MLBTS and SCEA.

I think their track record more than speaks for itself. Nobody loves their job and the sport they represent like these guys, and their manner of engaging with the community on OS is amazing.

I hope this gets a patch, but if it doesn't, I still think they're the best in the biz at delivering a stunning, sim-oriented product.

The game is solid for sure (not sure I'd call it stunning, but it's definitely solid). And I think it's going equally too far to say that no one loves the sport or making baseball games like The Show's crew (they do, but I think others did/do too).

Still, it should be fixed especially with how big budgeting and managing resources is to franchise mode. Track record doesn't erase that, imo.

I am not going to be frustrated till I know for certain their is reason to be frustrated. I too am not going to the PS4 for a while. So this is my version of the game for the foreseeable future. I am still in year one of my chise so thus far for me I have not been affected...yet.

And I understand the current frustration of not knowing and for those that blaze through multiple franchise years far quicker than this old fella I hear ya. It stinks that something that worked on 13 all of a sudden does not on 14.

Again if it is not patched it would be a let down. And surprising. I expect it to be addressed. And if it is not addressed on this version I full expect it to be on 15 for the PS3.

It is kinda of bizarre though that one console got the fix and the other far more widely used one right now (PS3 which has far more gamers still) has not.

I am not making any excuses for the team. I just think their actions have spoken volumes (positively) of how they operate over the last several years.

I am also in Year One and have turned off my PS3 waiting for something. I refuse to get more emotionally involved in what was a bitchin drafted team. Best fantasy draft I may have ever had but it sits cold waiting for a patch or an explanation. I'd like to play and figure out whether to stick to only contact swing and hit .270 with mild power or .230 with okay power with regular swing but... there it sits dormant.

Thankfully, I have MLB Premium so it's not a complete baseball wasteland. Love ballpark sound feed on the games that's only PS3 but I digress.

I agree, I know I wont buy into what they are trying to sell with their talk from now on. Definitely should remind them when they are hyping up next years version that they went MIA once major issues were found.

I will say that up until this year they had been great with being open and honest. Dont know why things have changed this year, maybe its because they are the only game on the market now, but to be honest its really has been the only game out for years now with as bad as 2k baseball was, so its not like they were losing customers to them anyway

Gameplay wise the game is great, so I know these guys work hard and do a great job, and while its easy to get mad at the devs when things go wrong, the ones that need bashed are the big wigs of the company an not the devs, because the devs really dont have much say in stuff getting fixed. Myself included probably shouldnt throw the devs under the buss on this because these guys are still the best in the business, and its the top dogs that are doing the screwing over on this to us.

I think that's what makes me most upset: this game is sooooo pretty and plays so well. Even the dreaded HR cam and such are just... wow. But this glitch ruins it for me since franchise is all I play.

I just read on MLBTS website that in a thread the mod on that site said there is a patch in the works.

Finally someone from them gives a answer. Thats what has had me so ticked off with them, is being so quiet about a fix. Now he didnt come out directly to say that yes indeed the budget issue and spring training issue were getting fixed, but I would think atleast the budget issue will be fixed considering it got fixed for the PS4 and it really handicaps the game if not fixed. Hopefully the top prospects signing deal way under market value is fixed too, as that right there is probably the biggest problem of all, considering small market teams still act like it even with big budgets from the glitch.

This is what gets me, especially with there being no change to the overall franchise system. Still the budgets system and all that. Why is it messed up in the first place? And if this is a new system, why not an option to use "Classic" budgets or the new style "everyone becomes big market".

One thing I will always love about OOTP over MLB:TS...the level of customization.

Again if it is not patched it would be a let down. And surprising. I expect it to be addressed. And if it is not addressed on this version I full expect it to be on 15 for the PS3.
