The fact their are two sets of people doing the same thing is pathetic. Had all you guys been working together you could have already had the rosters by now. People should learn to swallow their egos. I saw the little spat Wookie and Razr had over who should be called the "co-editor" on those NCAA rosters is this why the two teams havent merged?

p.s. Of course if this is a PS3 vs X-Box thing I retract my statements and humbly apologize...

Why don't you work on your own rosters?

And I've got a roster with my edits and the stamina edits as well as a few quick pitcher changes based on new offseason info so every pre-edit thing is done on my part.


And yes there will be a roster without the stamina stuff.

aholbert...you misread what I posted!
I was 2 teams away from being done with....all the 40 man rosters for each team........the 50 top prospects ....with the lineup "fix"...not from being totally done with those teams! I'm not a machine!!!
This was with the updated pitch base from Razr and his guys(totally different from the A.L. one I was doing just for "practice" and to show the lineup fix)
Once I got the updated pitch base from Razr...I had to redo everything I had already done in the A.L. Only set(totally different roster .....he was working on the pitch edits for the "real" Full Minor set, while I was fiddling around with that A.L. only set waiting for it from him....there is one point of confusion, I'm sure)


I am on target for release sometime shortly after Opening Day.
I have to see how much time Strut needs for the stance/motion update....as I would like to get it out with everything intact already.
I also need a few updates from Razr I believe....

I've got a set right now with
-All teams with the correct 40 man rosters(all edits-faces done for those players)
-nearly 100 of the top prospects
-Razrs update for the pitchers
-the lineup fix
-and already some fill in players for the AA teams

Once teams start setting their ACTIVE rosters....I should be able to set the AAA pretty quickly and then fill in AA.

Hopefully there won't be too many teams outright releasing players(but rather putting them in AAA) .....so I don't have to use too many fake players(when I run out of editable guys)

Thanks for the clarification. Would it be possible for you to release the base set you have right now? I'm a season mode guy so I dont need much more than what you have right now. I'm sure there are plenty of people like me who dont need the rosters to have every minor leaguer and the other additions that will come in the full set.

If thats possible that would be great.

Wow. I have plenty to say but I'll make it short.

1. LOL at bringing that up. That whole thing was a joke. That wasn't serious at all.
2. If there was something for him to do on this project he would help.
3. Having him helping would not make the roster get done faster. It would simply mean that more people are working on it. Remember that you can't have 2 people working on the same file at the same time.
4. None of this has to do with egos.
5. This is not a 360 vs PS3 thing.
6. There is no competition/rivalry between wookie and I. Remember we actually did work on the same rosters.

I respect the fact you kept it straight Razr. Like I said on Wookie posts, it says "They know who I am if they need help they can ask me" that sounds like ego-tripping, but my bad if I misread the stuff. Good looking Chief.

You're making a lot of enemies real quickly. Wookie's always liked to do his own rosters and I respect that - some people have different preferences on stances/attributes but both guys have (this is an assumption) a mutual respect for each other.

Bottom line is if you don't want Knight's/Wookie's rosters then don't use them...In any event, you're not doing any legwork for them so as momma says, "Stay out of the kitchen until the dinner's ready."

Thanks again for keeping your response civil. As far as enemies that's pretty comical but the rest of the post was on point and I respect that too.

In an attempt to draw attention elsewhere, how much effect does potential actually have on players? I haven't simmed through an offseason or anything to see how the progression works in this game but I figured with all the talks of potential here it'd be a somewhat viable question. So is it more than just a title? I think I read knight saying it affects trade logic which is sweet. But can I count on high potential guys to become stars after some time or will their attributes just die like the mlb players (or at least that's what the player progression screen says which has to do with the management you have I'm guessing). Hopefully this question is actually making sense but any insight would be much obliged. Oh yeah, and I'm toooo pumped for this to come out!

Is it possible for you to upload the roster with that you mentioned in this post to the roster vault? I'd like to start a franchise to mess around with a bit. I have a question on Rookie's (sorry if this was asked--I couldn't find the answer anywhere).

I noticed on your rosters that there isn't a green "R" symbol for rookie's. Why is that? For example, I am an O's fan and though Matt Wieters will not start the year on MLB roster, I wanted him to have a green "R" next to him. The announcers of course make comments about rookies while playing and I love that.

So is there a field to enter this in (i.e. player exp?). Also it seems all existing "R"'s are not editable. Any thoughts? Thanks so much!

The green "R" should appear automatically once he's on the active roster (25 man). They aren't editable, but merely an indication of who's a rookie or not. It will adjust, no worries.

EDIT: I don't think they appear after changes in the base rosters (since you manually made the changes and thos eindicators are primarily meant for franchise/season indications)...meaning it should reflect properly when you start your franchise/season.

The green "R" should appear automatically once he's on the active roster (25 man). They aren't editable, but merely an indication of who's a rookie or not. It will adjust, no worries.

EDIT: I don't think they appear after changes in the base rosters (since you manually made the changes and thos eindicators are primarily meant for franchise/season indications)...meaning it should reflect properly when you start your franchise/season.

Also I think in the manage rosters screen if you scroll to the right there is a Time in the MLB column.

Hey Knight, You said you were going to completely remake Travis Snider and maybe some others so I was wondering if you do this will you still leave the old Snider in the game and just decrease his stats and put him in the free agents? If that's done we could use that one with his picture if we wanted to make our own. Thanks and looking forward to your awesome rosters again this year!

Update for the Pirates, Ohlendorf has been confirmed to start the season in the rotation and Jaramillo will be the backup catcher.

Diaz, Pearce and Machado were sent to AAA Indianapolis Indians. An interesting note being that Pearce will now exclusivly be used at 1B as he is now heir apparent to Adam LaRoche. This means that Garrett Jones will probably be playing in RF for the AAA Indians.
