I absolutely cant wait for this. And its a shock me saying it. I have been heartbroken over the old stadium, but I am not excited for the new one. Still not sure I will ever attend a game there, yankee Stadium was a dream come true every time I was there, kills me its gone - but we'll see

Are these rosters including any attribute adjustments other than to make the lineups correct? What I mean is, as an example, G. Blanco for the Braves has a speed rating below what I think would be accurate. Even if you don't agree with this example, you get what I mean by attribute adjustments. Will your roster have ANY edits to the original SCEA player ratings?

If anyone knows feel free to answer

        Knight,
Cubs made some changes today. They released Paul Bako and Mike Stanton. Micah Hoffpauir and Koyie Hill made the opening day roster.

Ha! they released Paul Bako? I'm not a fan of Paul Bako's abilities anymore. Why didn't they just re-sign Henry Blanco? I like his catching skills, game calling skills, and he hit well last year in the amount of action he got. He's also taught Geovany Soto a lot. San Diego ended up not spending that much on him relatively. I would prefer Blanco over Koyie Hill, but that's my 2 cents. Anyway, back on topic .

knight the braves have traded CF Josh Anderson to the Tigers for minor league pitcher Rudy Darrow

so this makes Jordan Schafer the opening day CF for the braves

Rudy Darrow, 25, was 5-3 with a 2.02 ERA in 47 relief appearances last season in Class A and Class AA. He held right-handed hitters to a .168 average. The hard-throwing right-hander had 57 strikeouts with 23 walks in 63 1/3 innings.

im not sure if he is included in your set or not knight but this is what he did last year.

I am passing this directly to you as I understand that you have already received the pitch edits. According to the Detroit Free Press in regard to Eddie Bonine:

Bonine’s repertoire is uncommon, for the simple reason that it includes a knuckleball. His knuckler has a pretty strong velocity – as knucklers go – with some movement. It also says as a reliever he only throws the Fastball more often than the Knuckelball.

I am passing this along as I noted in the Full Minors roster for 2008 the knuckelball is not included in his arsenal of pitches.

Thanks and thank you again for all your work on putting these rosters together.
Knuckleball? Could you link me to that? I didn't see him throwing a knuckleball at all last year in the games that I tracked.

here's a couple Indians moves today...

David DeLucci is starting the season on the DL so Trevor Crowe will open the season on the major league club (Halleluja...)

and Zach Jackson won the last bullpen spot...

so the Indians 25 man roster is set for the start of the year

                    • Starting rotation (five): Cliff Lee, Fausto Carmona, Carl Pavano, Scott Lewis and Anthony Reyes.

                    • Bullpen (seven): Kerry Wood, Rafael Betancourt, Rafael Perez, Jensen Lewis, Joe Smith, Masa Kobayashi and Zach Jackson.

                    • Catchers (two): Victor Martinez and Kelly Shoppach.

                    • Infielders (seven): Ryan Garko, Asdrubal Cabrera, Jhonny Peralta, Mark DeRosa, Jamey Carroll, Josh Barfield and Travis Hafner.

                    • Outfielders (four): Grady Sizemore, Shin-Soo Choo, Ben Francisco and Trevor Crowe.

I'll see about it. If he doesn't throw it that much there really isn't a point in giving it to him. It also seems that it's more like a splitter than a knuckleball from the way he described it. I like to go by break rather than grip.

Pitchers are very strange people indeed

I haven't actually seen him pitch so.....perhaps one of the Padres/Tigers fans can offer an opinion.

I know exactly what you mean, I feel the same way. I was heartbroken to see that Stadium close last year. That's why i made it as many times as I possibly could with my season ticket package, and the All Star festivities were incredible celebration of the Stadium and team's history. As much as it pains me, I'm really looking forward to being there Friday for the Cubs game, and more so looking forward to thursday for workout day so I can get a chance to explore this big new ballpark in the Bronx.

Anyway, I've been lurking here for quite a while, and want to commend Knight and those of you contributing to his efforts. I, myself have always done roster overhauls like this, and I too pay a ton of attention to details such as positions, prospects, uniform numbers, attributes, appearance, etc. While I don't quite have the time to do much this year, I was thrilled to learn of you guys doing what you do. I just want to say thank you and ask if there is any way I can help, or anything I can do to show my appreciation.

Also, quick question. As players get added to the game throughout the season via live SCEA updates, how will you go about including them in your sets? Will you just ignore them, do you plan on already creating them, or will you re-release them? I imagine it's a pretty tricky situation for you. I just want to know if guys like Brett Tomko, Chip Ambres, Mike Stanton will be on your rosters.

Thanks again. Looking forward to using them.
