Re: Operation Sports Full Minors '09 - Discussion Thread

    Okay...

I'm home from work(one of the truly few "bad" days at work....I'm quoting bad because as long as everyone gets to GO home.....it's not really a bad day, right?)...but I didn't get what I wanted done there. Just too hectic.
A short nap....I'll finish fixing the players to their proper levels....and the correct lineups...and I'll get the "final" version out tonight.

Question(really for you Millenium).....for the stock SCEA ratings, do you guys want the default numbers or the latest updated numbers?

I agree with this. No Offense to RAZR but his pitch edits are making this game impossible for me. 7 games into my frnachise my team is hitting .203. I've scored 5 runs in a game once, and been shutout 4 times.

No doubt. My offense has taken a hit now that most pitchers' fastballs actually move, lol. It's a nice change of pace, especially with the elite pitchers having fastballs that run or sink 7-9 inches at the last minute. Now I see why scouts value "late life" so much--the ball looks like it's right there and destined for the bleachers, and then it disappears and you whiff or pop out.

                    Good stuff!

I downloaded Knight's rosters (great job and THANK YOU) and went through all the teams and put all injured/suspended etc. players in their respective starting lineups. So A-Rod, Mauer, Ichiro, Glaus, Lackey, JC Romero, and lots others are in MLB and not AAA. That's the way I like to start my franchise, and I saw others say the same, so I posted them on SportsConnect. I don't want any credit or thank you's as these are KNIGHT'S rosters and all I did was put injured players back on their teams. It took all of about 30-45 minutes to do.

I'm playing my Yankee franchise with these rosters and in Game 1 I had 4 hits (2 singles, a double, and a homer). I play All-Star with close to default sliders. I only had 4 hits but didn't feel like I was overmatched. It's just 1 game. I'm playing my 2nd game now. Let's see if I have better luck against Uehara.

Again, thanks Knight for all the hard work. It's much appreciated by me.

I guess you're kind of alluding to the set that DLowery did.
I feel bad as I may have overreacted a bit.
I think the "bad day" excuse is lame...so I won't use it. But I guess I was cranky.
I was actually going to post something today....pretty much just asking this.
First....anything equipment/stance/pitch motion update....if you could wait until Strut gets that version out....he broke his a$$ to get that stuff together...and I was a little more PO'ed that I wasn't a bit more clear when I released the set...that I would like everyone to wait(for that kind of update) until he was done.
I was definitely partially to blame on that note.

                            The other thing is this....
I don't mind if anyone takes the roster and makes updates/changes/improvements...whatever...the only thing I ask is that you don't change the base name of the roster.
The roster is O.S.FullMinors....and then if you want you can add w/so and so updates and then explain your update in the box provided.
I didn't call them Knight165'sFullMinors for a reason....too many O.S. members worked their tails off...and when he renamed it to his own.....the fact that he simply credited me(and others)...gets lost....and gets lost quickly. I gotta be honest...it doesn't really bother me a lot(maybe a little) if they don't get associated with me.....but I didn't get to ask the other guys involved all around how they felt...

                            So am I "giving permission"....?(not that I really can)....yes....
As long as the parameters(simple ones I would say) are in place ....and that's gonna be on the honor system obviously..

You're a good man MK lol.

Anyway, idk if this is the best place for this question but here goes. As i understand it the walkup music is associated with the hard drive and not the roster files. Prior to the release of your rosters I started a franchise for fun with the Yankees, where I set most of the walkp music and reliever entrance music for the Yanks, as well as some other teams (Mets, Braves, Twins for sure off the top of my head). As I'm going through your roster making little changes and whatnot I notice that all of the music I assigned to my Yankee players in my franchise (pre roster release) are assigned to the same players in your roster file. I go to look at the other teams and players I set music for in my franchise and they are default in the roster file. Why would my hd assign the music I set to just the Yankees and not the other teams I did it for. Is it because the Yankees were my franchise team or what. I mean it was a very pleasant surprise as I assumed I would have to do all of the music over with your rosters, which isn't the case (but only with the Yankees).

Any help, answers, or a better understanding would be appreciated.

Knight - You are the epitome of "class act."

Don't be so humble, you absolutely deserve the credit for these rosters. As does everyone who assists with edits (razr, strut...etc). I cant even imagine the time you have put into these rosters. There is no problem at all if you get PO'd with the issues you're facing right now with people using your rosters, editing them, and calling them their own. Keep up the great work!
