I downloaded the roster file LETSGOMETS89 V1 (make sure you get the one with the capital "V" in "V1"; that fake roster turdmonkey is back at it again).

This file only has 25 players on the 40-man roster for each team. This alleviates that lineups issue since it's caused by the CPU trimming down MLB squads from 40 to 25 after Spring Training.

Note: You have to use Franchise mode and not Season Mode. In Season Mode you only have 25 players on your team and everyone else is a free agent instead of being in your minor league system.

So after starting a new Franchise with this roster file, I went ahead a simmed through Spring Training (with injuries turned off for the sim) and advanced to the Regular Season. Lineups were perfect.

Before playing any games, I went through every team's AAA squad and added 15 players to the 40-man roster (top 8 pitchers and top 7 position players, including at least 1 catcher). It took 20 minutes tops. If you want to be more meticulous than I was, it could take a little longer, but it's MUCH faster than other fixes previously posted.

So by filling every team's 40 man roster, if the CPU has an injury on their MLB squad, they can call someone up from AAA, and everyone's also set for September Callups.

Here's some additional notes on settings/methodology and such:

You HAVE TO control all 30 teams. Assign your profile to the team you are playing with, and NO PROFILE to the rest of the teams.

Make sure GLOBAL SETTINGS are set to:
    Lineups/Rotations - Manual
    Injury Management - MLB Only
Everything else can be set to Auto if you'd like

    Start playing the games.

As each day progresses, you will be notified of various injuries around the league. For each injury alert, choose the appropriate action to take based on how long the player will be out (place on bench, 15-day DL, 60-day DL). If the player goes on the DL, the CPU will handle the AAA call-up appropriately.

If an injured player happens to be a starter (and therefore leaving an empty slot in the lineup) you will be prompted that such-and-such a team "Does not have 4 valid lineups". At that point, fix their lineup as you see fit.

If a starting pitcher is injured and you get the "Does not have a valid starting rotation" alert, I just hit auto-fix and the CPU handles it okay.

When you get an alert that a player is no longer injured, and/or off the DL, place him on the bench. Then go to the team's lineups and insert him back in.

And there you have it. Sounds like a lot, but it's really just a couple minutes of maintenance between games. And it does keep you well informed on what's going on around the league.
    Thanx my friend!

    Will do that... definitely!

You HAVE TO control all 30 teams. Assign your profile to the team you are playing with, and NO PROFILE to the rest of the teams.

Either download and use the fixed franchise file that is floating around, or use one of the two fix methods listed here:

Make sure GLOBAL SETTINGS are set to:

Trades - Manual until June 1 (whole different issue that I won't get into)

I may turn them off totally, just so I don't have to deal with all that stuff in between games. Or put them on manual and emulate the real mlb, to some extent. I will likely totally ignore the NL as I always have with bb sims. LOL Just don't care about the NL, never have my whole life for some reason. Lived in AL cities all my life, near Oakland.

will manual still work with your ideas here? Thanks for the guidelines, this has been a bit chaotic, but seems a lot of people have sorted it out, esp that guy who did the V1 roster.
Yes, you can turn injuries to off, on, or manual in the middle of your franchise.

I don't want to get that confused with "injury management." You need to keep that either Manual or MLB Only (which prevents you from having to worry about injuries for minor leaguers throughout the league). If you turn injury management to auto, you won't get alerts that players are off the DL, and they will just ride the pine because you won't know to insert them back into the lineup.

hey Hoke - if you put the lineups/injuries to auto instead of manual will the computer start making everything all crazy after you add on the players to the 40 man roster? I hope not cause I dont want to have to manage all the other teams personel except mine

The lineups will stay until a player gets injured and the computer needs to make adjustments. At that point, it resorts back to its whackyness.

So say Ryan Howard gets hurt. The CPU will place him on the DL, put someone in his place, but then also drop Rollins to 6th, Werth to 8th, and so on.

So, yeah, that's why these things need to stay on Manual if you want to keep lineups in tact.

Is the roster LetsGoMets used based off of Knights v1 roster? Either way, what's the difference between the two?

I have Knights and was wondering if I can just follow Hokies instructions on creating a 30 team franchise to make it work?

Yes, rosters are based off of Knight and co.'s. The only difference is that there are only 25 players on each team-s 40 man roster, which allows it to avoid the Spring Training lineup issue.

I read in another post that you can´t use those rosters in season mode because it only has 25 players.

Can someone tell me that, if i play season mode with injuries OFF, will i have any problem?

Can i ask you another thing? If i turn off injuries when i start a season will the cpu put the best players on their line-ups?

For example: Cliff Lee and Erik Bedard are injured for the Mariners. Will the cpu put them in the rotation?

I don't think so. In fact, with injuries off, the set lineups should remain the exact same throughout the season (with players getting a day off here and there throughout the season).

So you're going to want to take a few minutes and go through each team's roster and make sure they are how you want them. I noticed Cliff Lee as on the AAA squad, so as I was going through and filling out the 40-man rosters, I put him in back to MLB and threw him in the M's rotation.

good lord. my brain feels like oatmeal right now after reading all of those posts.
i downloaded Knight's rosters last night, simmed through spring training after startin a new franchise, and adjusted all of the lineups. i am tweaking the rotations for each tonight. but, after reading about the LETSGOMETS V1 25 man rosters, i may download those.

there are still some issues that are conufising to me as far as injuries during the season of franchise, call ups, adjusting minor league rosters, etc. i have admit, i love this game- The Show- but my god it is pretty much a buzz kill. i do understand why the lineups change from the 40 to 25 and everything goes wacky but man, my head is spinning from all of this.
