Thanks man. I actually saw you posted a save file for franchise in a different thread so I downloaded that one. Is there any difference between the one in this thread and the other you posted?

This one has all of the 40 man rosters listed using Hokie's method of top 8 pitchers and top 7 position players added

Are all the teams 0-0, 40 man roster and guys like Jose Reyes, Carlos Beltran, Cliff Lee... in the MLB Roster?

Did not get that far, this is still in spring training. All of those players are on 40 man roster, but may be in minors. I can post again tonight with those fixes

I noticed after spring training the lineups were perfect and even some teams had their full 40 man after ST!!!

I spent about 30 minutes putting Reyes, Beltran, Cliff Lee and such on the major league rosters thanks again!!!

So, after the first year, are you all going to do this again? What makes any of these decisions better than the virtual GM's of all 30 teams?

I usually only play one year but I will worry about it in about 6 months when I end my season since I play every game.

Hustlin Owl posted a link to a franchise file in spring training. I just changed the teams he had to NO PROFILE and made my team MY PROFILE. Then, all you have to do is skip ST, go to the regular season, and all the lineups are good to go, no CPU reshuffling anything... and, some teams even had their 40 man filled out so it saved me hours of having to do this stuff myself. I just brought up injured guys for the teams took me about 30 minutes.

Ignoring the fact that the CPU makes some horrible lineup decisions (which, I know, is totally subjective), the fact of the matter is that if you control all 30 teams and set lineups/rotations to Manual, the CPU STILL reorders everything.

Oh, and about the 2nd year of your franchise, I'm not sure. I think it's going to be messed up.

I have a quick question, I started a new cubbies franchise with Letsgomets rosters. I have everything setup to manual but my question is, after ST can i make everything auto Except lineup changes. Will the cpu make the appropriate moves. Will the current major league rosters stay the same??

Before playing any games, I went through every team's AAA squad and added 15 players to the 40-man roster (top 8 pitchers and top 7 position players, including at least 1 catcher). It took 20 minutes tops. If you want to be more meticulous than I was, it could take a little longer, but it's MUCH faster than other fixes previously posted.

Hokie, or anyone, can you please explain to a newb to this game, how do I see the AAA roster of any MLB team? When I go to Manage Rosters, and use R1 and L1 it just cycles thru the MLB teams. How do I see the AAA Teams?

Also what criteria did you use to decide the best 8 pitchers and best 7 position players?

If this file is still in spring training, won't the lineup issue still occur? I thought you have to do the fixes after ST or before your first game, otherwise they will still cut down from 40-25?

Go to manage roster and under "league" I think you hit X and then sort. You can sort MLB first or Single A first depending if you hit sort a second time.

X2 I love this game but it is just so much to get it to what seems like simple gameplay or should I say sim-like.

These guys put a almost a month into getting these rosters to resemble MLB and what is happening now kinda sucks.

Don't want to beat a dead horse so I will again say thanks to the Rostermakers and to LETSGOMETS, Hokie, Hustleowl I believe for there input. Peace!!!

I know. Its very frustrating to jump through all these hoops just to play a decent franchise like baseball game. I'm just going to play the game without all these circus acts & let the CPU do whatever it wants to.

Ok thanks, I thought they might have a separte page for "Sacramento River Cats" etc. But the sort does the trick, and I am using "Overall" to choose the best ones to move to 40 man. Thanks for the tip.

It's actually a franchise file (not a roster file) using LETSGOMETS roster and all the 40-man roster work done for you. Definitely the way to go at this point.

If you want to see the lineups and such of just an AA or AAA team flick the right analog left and right to view that teams respective minor leaguers. R1 and L1 cycle through the majors, right analog cycles through the levels.
