Oh, I'm totally chill man, don't worry. It's just that people less familiar with the forums take it in a less light way sometimes. Not always, just sometimes. But, I'm good.

Well think about it. This Thread is 41 pages long but how many posts are the same question asked over & over again? I bet it's about half, if not more. I'm all for work arounds, opinions & such, thats what makes OS great but when people are too lazy to read a few pages, a good post with good workarounds get lost due to countless of unnecessary posts.

Its not always laziness. Reading a 41 page thread is very time consuming and sometimes people dont have the time to go through every single post.

I agree. And spelling mistakes often make it impossible to search, or people who refer to the issue without actually saying the key words that are search-able. Also, there's the fact that very often, people will speak about things in chunks or in broken thoughts and nobody ever really summarizes to say, "just in case you missed it, the solution is this...". Which is why I don't mind people offering their methods even if it's a repeat. Because it can't hurt.

Perhaps there needs to be a policy that whenever an exploratory topic is expanded on and a solution is achieved to a problem, that that solution MUST become a sticky in a folder within that game. Then if you EVER have a question about an issue in the game that requires explanation and steps, you just go to the sticky folder. If there's no solution in there, there's no solution yet. Bam, like that, you eliminate hundreds of "does anyone know how to fix this?" posts, the threads get shorter, and information is shared more effectively.

              Will do that... definitely!

Where exactly are the minor league teams though? They aren't in their normal spots and all the players that SHOULD be in AAA due to injuries on opening day, are Free Agents.

I downloaded the roster file LETSGOMETS89 V1 (make sure you get the one with the capital "V" in "V1"; that fake roster turdmonkey is back at it again).

This file only has 25 players on the 40-man roster for each team. This alleviates that lineups issue since it's caused by the CPU trimming down MLB squads from 40 to 25 after Spring Training.

Note: You have to use Franchise mode and not Season Mode. In Season Mode you only have 25 players on your team and everyone else is a free agent instead of being in your minor league system.

So after starting a new Franchise with this roster file, I went ahead a simmed through Spring Training (with injuries turned off for the sim) and advanced to the Regular Season. Lineups were perfect.

Before playing any games, I went through every team's AAA squad and added 15 players to the 40-man roster (top 8 pitchers and top 7 position players, including at least 1 catcher). It took 20 minutes tops. If you want to be more meticulous than I was, it could take a little longer, but it's MUCH faster than other fixes previously posted.

So by filling every team's 40 man roster, if the CPU has an injury on their MLB squad, they can call someone up from AAA, and everyone's also set for September Callups.

Here's some additional notes on settings/methodology and such:

You HAVE TO control all 30 teams. Assign your profile to the team you are playing with, and NO PROFILE to the rest of the teams.

Make sure GLOBAL SETTINGS are set to:
                Lineups/Rotations - Manual
                Injury Management - MLB Only
Everything else can be set to Auto if you'd like

                Start playing the games.

As each day progresses, you will be notified of various injuries around the league. For each injury alert, choose the appropriate action to take based on how long the player will be out (place on bench, 15-day DL, 60-day DL). If the player goes on the DL, the CPU will handle the AAA call-up appropriately.

If an injured player happens to be a starter (and therefore leaving an empty slot in the lineup) you will be prompted that such-and-such a team "Does not have 4 valid lineups". At that point, fix their lineup as you see fit.

If a starting pitcher is injured and you get the "Does not have a valid starting rotation" alert, I just hit auto-fix and the CPU handles it okay.

When you get an alert that a player is no longer injured, and/or off the DL, place him on the bench. Then go to the team's lineups and insert him back in.

And there you have it. Sounds like a lot, but it's really just a couple minutes of maintenance between games. And it does keep you well informed on what's going on around the league.
Where are the AAA teams, or AA for that matter though? How are you accessing them? On the lineup or rotation screen, usually you move the right stick to select them, but they aren't there to select.

Has anyone else tried Gators osfullgatorfan81 roster? I have and they are very good, he made some adjustments and the lineups are fine. Heyward is not batting leadoff etc..No need to control all 30 teams

Quick question (sorry if it's already been answered) Hustlin when you set the franchise up did you put instant trades on or off?

                    Thanks in advance.

Great question, instant trades are off. You want to be able to review trades, by going to pending transactions and any that you see are unrealistic you can veto

Honestly isn't this something that the developers and what not should release a patch for, instead of making us go through ridiculous workarounds?

guys, i know i'm new to the forum and whatever, but seriously just take a look at my rosters. i just uploaded a newer version osfullgatorfan2 to sportsconnect. check the lineups. everything is almost exactly spot on in regards to opening day rosters. there is no spring training issue (very limited anyway as it takes time to get the rosters right) with this roster set. please, just check them out to see what you think. nothing is worse than waiting for a patch especially if the roster issue cannot be patched. best part is that you don't have to control all 30 teams.

Guys these rosters are Knights with some tweaks to certain players to get them back into the proper lineup spot, you get the full minors and good lineups without having to control all 30 teams
