    They might be...but not really.
He hit .305 that year(.301 vs. RHP) while hitting 32 homers in a little more than half a season. Even with his durability at 65....he's going to wind up playing more than 89 games(the durability in terms of games played is a tough one to solve)....so I'm just trying to get him to hit .300...and not have 65 homers.(for the guys who are NOT going to go in and DL him at the proper time...but rather just let the game play out straight through).
It's a juggling act at times with historical rosters.

      Okay...nearly have the Marlins completed.
An easy team really....most of the starters are current MLB players and already created by SCEA....it's just a matter of redoing their attributes to reflect 2000.
I did redo Braden Looper though to rid him of his beard that he has as an SCEA player.
I've got 9 players to finish the complete team...but I've go work tomorrow and Friday...so it may not be until Friday night for the next update.

Knight great job on the twins! Everything looks really good. they are pretty fun to play with because they don't have a true long baller, so its all about manufacturing runs.

Funny with the Marlins...looking at the players on that squad...over their careers...that's a pretty stacked team on paper.
Penny...Dempster...Burnett...Looper...Lee....Casti llo(when he could run)....Gonzalez....Lowell...Preston Wilson and Cliff Floyd.....
But they managed only 79 wins in 2000.

bwiggy...Thank you and you're right ....Jaque Jones?...your leader in HR's?!
I'd say you have to manufacture.

True about his average, but thats because of his HR's and walks, not because he was a Tony Gywnn like contact hitter. Contact ratings like that will have him lacing singles and doubles like a mad man. Please consider this.

Oh man, I can't wait until the full set is complete. I'm busting, Jerry, busting!

Only had time for a quick 3 innings, but went right into the Subway Series and Knight, you did an amazing job, my man. I jacked a 3-run HR with Ventura off Pettitte and led 3-0 before I had to leave for a job interview (man, I wish you could save exhibition games like you can on the PSP). I danced out of danger with Hampton, but had already allowed 6 hits in the 3 innings of work.

Two quick things, Kerry Wood is pitching from the stretch, as a starter wouldn't he have thrown from the wind? And Big Mac had the red elbow guard

also i just saw a new animation. sosa hit a broken bat blooper and the homeplate ump went and looked at the bat and saw it was corked. oh the little things haha

Uh...Walks would not reflect on the BATTING Average, only on the On-Base Percentage.

Well, if he is avoiding getting K'ed because he has patience and discipline at the plate, it is affecting his batting average. thats what i meant

Will anyone be putting together batter walk up songs and the like once this gets released? I think that would really put it over the top.

Get to use my Reds with a still prime Ken Griffey Jr. Also, Barry Larkin, Pokey Reese, Dante Bichette (assuming he's on the Reds. I know he was traded to the Red Sox during the season), Sean Casey, Dimitri Young, etc.

Bichette will start on the Reds...like all my sets...they are set to Opening Day.
You'll have to trade him though!

Okay...I finished the pitching staff and about 15 position players for the Athletics. I have 16 players to go to finish that club.
I think I have the D-Backs next(gotta check the thread a little back)...and then I'll do Cincy for you Storm

Back to Oakland. I redid Giambi to reflect the 2000 goatee and his big fat wide head for that year.(wonder how that happened) He was a friggin MONSTER that year. I forgot how much he used to walk. I wish wish there was a way to go past 99 on these scales sometimes!
How the heck did the A's win that division? That staff had big names...but they didn't have very good seasons pitching wise that year. I know it was close...but except for Giambi....the lineup wasn't that great either. I guess they rode him to the pennant.
