Knight, I'd really prefer if youd create a CAP Griffey since #1 yours would look better and #2 he wont retire a year into franchise.Comment

Re: Turn Back the Clock: 2000 Season Replay-A Subway Series
I've got 10 teams to go. I'll have it completed by the end of the month.
(don't forget, I'm also mixing in working on the straight Classic set with teams from various years)

Re: Turn Back the Clock: 2000 Season Replay-A Subway Series
I couldn't really sleep last night, so I finished up the L.A. Dodgers.
I'll post 'em up later.
I've already played three games with this team and have to say it was three of my favorite test games so far!
Game 1 was a mid season game vs. the Phillies.
Darren Dreifort vs. Curt Schilling. Schilling, while not "dominant" in the game, shut out the boys from L.A. for 7 innings. He struck out Hundley three times and Karros was the only player to manage two hits. The Dodgers did strike for a run in the eighth inning on a double by Mark Grudzielanek....a single by Shawn Green and then on what looked like the second run to be scored ....Shawn Green instead was gunned down at home on a double by Eric Karrons ending the inning. The game ended 3-1 and Schilling got the win...with 10 K's.
Game 2 was a late season matchup against the hated Giants.
Hershiser vs. Mark Gardner
The Giants were all over Hershiser early scoring 5 runs in the first three innings giving the Gints a 5-0 lead. Hershiser was pinch hit for in the fourth by Dave Hansen who doubled down the line and opened up the floodgates for the Dodgers. They brought the score to 6-4(the Giants answered for another run in the bottom of the fourth) in the sixth when Sheff came up with 2 men on. Like watching a game on T.V.....you could sense it coming and Sheff absolutely CRUSHED the ball to left-center for a three run shot putting the Dodgers up 7-6. Todd Hollandsworth(spelled Hollanworth because the editor won't allow that many letters) hit a solo shot in the eighth and the Dodgers came back from what looked to be a Giant laugher. Funny, but Bonds did not have a hit in that early outbreak as it was all Kent, Snow and Burks with homers and doubles.
The last game was against the division leading Rockies(I sim a franchise until a point in the season to check the stats and handling of the players).
Eric Gagne vs. Masato Yoshii
This one was an early Dodger rout, scoring 5 off Yoshii in innings 1 and 2. The game wound up 6-4, but it was never really close and the Rockies didn't threaten the lead with anyone on base in the late innings. Mike Dejean did do an admirable job in relief of Yoshii to keep the game close for the Rox, but Hundley's two blasts was more than enough for the Dodgers to win this one handily. Gagne was pulled early though and Mike Fetters, Antonio Osuna and Terry Adams all held tight for the final 4 innings to seal the win.
With just 9 teams to go, I'm really feeling this set.

Re: Turn Back the Clock: 2000 Season Replay-A Subway Series
That game against Colorado....Helton had 46. He was also leading the league in BA and I think it was either .357 or .367. He's always up there when I look at the league leaders.
I might have to revisit Cirillo as he was also way up there. I made a mental note of it in that game. I know he hit .320(+), but I don't think he had more than a dozen homers.
I did see Sosa with 48 and Glaus with 42 as the leaders at that point in the season(late September).
Frank Thomas was batting .342 to lead the A.L. I can't remember Jeter or Garciappara...but they were up there as well.
I can't remember the N.L. secondary guys.

Re: Turn Back the Clock: 2000 Season Replay-A Subway Series
Just to keep you guys updated.
Worked on the Brew Crew last night and finished the MLB pitching staff and the position player starters and the bench.
I won't be working on these for a few days and should have them finished and posted on Friday night.

Re: Turn Back the Clock: 2000 Season Replay-A Subway Series
The #'s look great...I need to decide who I'm going to run with for this set. I'm leaning towards the Giants or BoSox but could go in a complete opposite direction.
Guys, if Knight gets a case of insomnia he could knock these out for us in a few days!
Yes.
