Have fun doing that Indians pitching staff. If I remember correctly, they used a record number of pitchers that year.

      32.

But some of them thankfully started on other clubs.

You'll have to trade him though!

Okay...I finished the pitching staff and about 15 position players for the Athletics. I have 16 players to go to finish that club.
I think I have the D-Backs next(gotta check the thread a little back)...and then I'll do Cincy for you Storm

Back to Oakland. I redid Giambi to reflect the 2000 goatee and his big fat wide head for that year.(wonder how that happened) He was a friggin MONSTER that year. I forgot how much he used to walk. I wish wish there was a way to go past 99 on these scales sometimes!
How the heck did the A's win that division? That staff had big names...but they didn't have very good seasons pitching wise that year. I know it was close...but except for Giambi....the lineup wasn't that great either. I guess they rode him to the pennant.

Thank you. Can't wait to use them (and the A's, for that matter)

If I remember correctly, that was one of Tejada's first really good years, and Eric Chavez had a solid year, and I can't remember their names, but it seems like the outfielders had good years (and I think one had a really good year.)

Can't wait to play a full franchise with these teams. I'm going to re-create Pujols (Leaner, 3B/LF) and bring him up. Pujols, Mac, Edmonds and Renteria; RBI Machines!

That would be a lethal combo right there. I'm so excited about starting one with the Angels. I promised I would wait but its getting tougher and tougher as knight progresses lol. I know its going to bring back tons of memories
            Angels= 2025 World Series Champions!!

Re: Turn Back the Clock: 2000 Season Replay-A Subway Series

I actually move guys who were close to playing in 2000 to their proper teams(in most cases)....so if a guy played 2001 or 2002...I try and put him on that team in the minors(with greatly reduced attributes)
However, I want the current players who did not play in 2000 out of the way, so that is why I simply "zero" them out......including changing the pitchers arsenal to different pitches(I then put them back to their real pitches)...to zero out their numbers for that....dropping them on the list.
I've already gotten two PM's asking me why I am changing these guys and one asked if I could put them back so they could use them. I don't think they are getting the idea of this.(not you Stroehm....I too toy with the idea of putting in some rookies who started in 2001 in).

              Okay.....Oakland sometime tonight!

32, yup that sounds about right. Just for my own amusemnt, I'm going to try to remember as many as I can:
Bartolo Colon, Chuck Finley, Dave Burba, Jared Wright, Charles Nagy, Paul Shuey, Ricardo Rincon, Steve Karsay, Steve Reed, Justin Speier, Tim Drew, Kane Davis, Cam Caincross, Jamie Navarro, Steve Woodard, Bob Wickman, Jason Bere, Scott Kaminecki (spelling's probably wrong), Paul Rigdon, Sean DePaula, Bobby Witt, Andrew Loraine, Jamie Brewington. That's all I can remember.

Knight, this set is incredible so far. Can't thank you enough for all this work. Only thing that would make this roster better would be more classic stadiums in this year's game but that obviously is out of your control, haha.

I tweaked Mcgwire's stance a little to Generic 73, only off of memory. Can't find a pic online of just his stance, it's always afterward or the Congress hearing.

                      Gen 73....sounds good.
Finding a good pic to go off can be difficult.
I guess I could search vids for the superstars like Big Mac and others.

Here's a pic of Big Mac's stance on a 2000 Kodak Action Card. I usually go to Ebay and search for a player's baseball cards. You can then filter by year, and if you're lucky you'll get a decent shot of their stance.

gettyimages.com is what I use for pics. Lots of pics from games. I have pretty good luck finding guys stances from there.

I use www.checkoutmycards.com for the pics.
I also check out getty....it's just that unless it's vid...you can get something a bit off in the motion of the swing ...etc.
                            But thanks!

...and going off that pic(which is probably the one I used)....Gen 65 looks pretty good(that's the stance I have him at)

                            Okay....Oaktown completed.
Try and sneak one past Giambi with a righty. Good luck!

                              Kudos.
I'm really diggin' all the guys getting into making historical sets...
I think down the line...SCEA will see how much the consumers like this historical aspect and might help us get new features in pertaining to this section of the game.
