might as well leave it at 10.

But with power at 9, softly hit balls are much more common along with some bloopers. I actually prefer power at 8 but that did not yield realistic HR numbers. Moving the power button over one notch actually makes a very noticeable difference. There's a huge difference between power at 8 and power at 10, and power at 9 feels just right.

man i just wonder if i will EVER see a game with more runs than hits..i mean at least one game....but nevermind this..iam having a great time withn this game.

I'd say 1.5-1.75 homeruns for one team per game is about right. I don't know what the exact league average. I do know that people always want to get nice low close scores when in reality you should be scoring aboyut 4-5 runs a game on average. No pitchers really have WHIP's 1 or under. Your average pitcher allows close 1.5 baserunners an inning so you should probably be close to about 13 or 14 baserunners when you total your hits and walks at the end of a game.

Having said that 10 for power seems pretty realistic to me, I seem to get 1, 2 or 3 homers a game spread out evenly, sometimes not hitting any and rarely hitting 4 or more so I think it would be a little lower than 2 which seems good for the Red Sox (who I'm doing a franchise with). Unlike MVP too I'm not just getting all my homers with my best homerun hitter cuz in that I got realistic team HR stats but they were all with 1 or 2 players. I actually have it pretty spread out, but I'm sure Manny and Ortiz will be realistically ahead of the other players, but my other guys are hitting homers like they should which makes it really balanced.

This game is really incredible when you think about it. A few too many strikeouts but you really don't have to do much tweaking to get the right amount of BB's, HR's hits, etc. Its a really great game. You know its good when all the sliders are pretty similiar. That and the sliders are limited, but still.

This is my exact point when I say that not much needs to be changed.

Why is it that "the sliders must have glitched up b/c they weren't working right" as opposed to you just "thinking" they're actually having an effect?

Either way, I'm attributing it to Placebo here. I'm having varied hits all over the place with the settings at default. But hey... sliders are there to tweak the game so YOU feel better, right?

There's not much that needs to be changed... some tweaks, which I've already listed help to induce a bit more variability:

-Pitch Count: Maxed to the right
-Pitch Speed: +2
-Arm Strength: -1
-Arm Accuracy: -1
-Errors: +2 (roughly)

do we change these sliders for both 1p and cpu

You got it.

It's really rare to see a game where you have more runs than hits... same holds true for this. Although, I've seen/played some games where hit total=runs. So the variation is there. On higher diff. levels though....

Yes, change them for both the CPU and both players. They work great in two player games...

So you play on default still, clearly you tweaked a few things, it does need some tweaking.
