I guess so, since players like CANO actually got a realistic AVG .305+ so far. I think SCEA clearly made the big names powerful, based on name alone?.

I just finished my season with the these sliders, I used the orginal pitching meter sliders for the whole season.
I went 90-72 with the Reds, I won the division by 2 games and had a blast.
My stats were pretty much right on!
      I batted .276 as a team, and my team E.R.A. was 4.94.

That's awesome. Great season. Did you make the playoffs?

Yeah I made the playoffs, my division was really weak (just like in real life this year) I beat out the Cardinals by 2 games.

favre, loving these sliders, thanks for all your hard work on these.

Stupid question... I saved these to my profile and they didn't carry over. Do you need to save these in a season for them to stick? I guess I'm still stuck in MVP on this one aspect...that and editing rosters actually.

very solid sliders favre. really enjoying my season with them. I did have a problem with these where I was striking out too often, but I just lowered the pitch speed.

One question regarding the Shows sliders though.. Im meant to lower the Pitch Speed in the user tuning to help lower the Ks right? or is it CPU user tuning?

haha Im an idiot. help is appreciated though.

Thanks for the kind words. Definitely not a stupid question, they should be able to carry over through your profile, but they don't. Unfortunately, you have to save them within your season/franchise to have them. If you want to use them for exhibition, you either have to input them or load up your franchise and back out of it.

I am glad you like the sliders. If you want to cut down on your K's, you would lower pitch speed in the CPU menu. I still K quite a bit, but that's because I am a hacker. On the games I am patient, they are cut down. Have fun man.

Well, I am back to playing this game again. I got over the fact that I had to have a baseball game on my 360 (that has plenty of other games to occupy my time). I wish I came to that conclusion sooner, but I fired up a game last night and had a blast (other than getting K'd by Halliday 16 times--it's my timing, way different from 2K). I had forgotten all of the nuances with this game that I was missing. Just thought I would write this without starting a new thread.

                          Favre,

Since you are back playing this game again, I have a question for you. Do you play with guess pitch on? I'm having trouble scoring runs with your meter pitching sliders, and was wondering if it was because I play with guess pitch off, or if it was because my timing was off after not playing this game for a few weeks.

Hey Ryan, how are ya? I definitely do play with guess pitch on; always have. I like the thinking behind it and it doesn't yield a homer every time you lock on. Now, the timing thing is a problem I am having since I returned to the game too. It got better last night as I scored 5 runs for the first time in week.

If timing doesn't improve, you could boost your contact and power up a few notches until you get it back or you can play with the pitch speed (I remember finding that the faster pitch speed helped my timing). Good luck bud. Let me know your progress.

                              Favre,

Thanks for the reply. I'm going to turn on Guess Pitch for my next game and see what difference it makes. I've always liked this feature, too, but have played with it off for a while because it seemed like while it was on it made the problem of CPU pitchers getting pulled too early worse. Having it on really does help my patience and offensive production, though.

                              Thanks again for the info.
