If you are getting low pitch counts, you are hanging around the zone too much. It is okay to throw some balls to try to get the cpu to chase.

I am a stickler for pitch counts and 150 pitches is realistic for this game. My goal against the cpu is to work the counts and build up the total count to get the starter out of there.

There is a delicate balance in adjusting the discipline slider in this game because it generally results in too many hits and low pitch counts because the cpu swings like a maniac. I would say try to keep with your pitching game plan and see if you can generate more k's. If it is not happening try dropping the slider down 2 notches.

With the current slider settings I can generally get 4-7 k's per game depending on the pitcher.
Thats where I am at now with the strikeouts. I have never had more than 7k. I will give it another 5 games and then try dropping it down. Thanks for the response!!

Nemesis, I generally am pitching what and where my catcher is calling for it.

I have no problems working the count while I am at bat, although I need to get better I know that will come in time (no slider adjustment for when I am batting).

Should I not throw where my C is asking?

API should be off! You can call a better game than the cpu. They hang around the zone too much.

Which version are you playing because it makes a difference with the cpu plate discipline slider?

Bring the cpu plate discipline down to -1.

If you find that the cpu swings too much and your pitch count goes way down, start bringing it up 2 notches at a time. Good luck!
