nemesis, appreciate the hard work you put into those slider settings. Is this set on the first page of this thread your current set?

I brought this forward for you. These are for the ps3. There are different sets for different outcomes regarding offense. Thanks for giving them a shot!

To make things clear I treat default as 0. Any tweak to the right will have a (+) in front of it and any tweak to the left will have a (-) in front of it.

      Human

      Pitcher Fatigue:
      -Starting: 0
      -Relief: +3
      Pitch movement: +8
      Pitch Command: -8
      Wild Pitch Freq: +3
      Set 1 [Contact: -10 / Power: +1]
      Set 2 [Contact: -8 / Power: 0]
Set 3 [Contact: -6 / Power: +2] Use this if you like a lot of offense in your game!
      Set 1 [Plate Awareness: -3]
Set 2 [Plate Awareness: +6] ( If you like foul ball battles with the pitcher try this setting, there will be some great ones. Be aware that this may cut down on your k number.
      Error Freq: +10
      Throwing Strength:+2
      Throwing Accuracy:-4
      Fielder Speed:-2
      Passed Ball Freq: +3
      Injury: +3

      CPU

      Pitcher Aggr.: -8
      Pickoff Attempt Freq.: -6
      Set 1 [Contact: -10 / Power: -1]
Set 2 [Contact: -8 / Power: -2] This is where I am currently at!
      Set 3 [Contact: -8 / Power: 0] More offense.
Set 4 [Contact: -7 / Power: +1] There is going to be a lot more offense at this setting. Be careful!
Set 1 [Batter Plate Discipline: +5]
Set 2 [Batter Plate Discipline: -1] This will loosen up the cpu hitters to swing some more if so desired.
      Fielder Reaction Time: -10
      Throwing Strength: +2
      Throwing Accuracy: -4
      Error Freq: +10
      Base running Aggr.: -3
      Stealing Aggr.: +2
      Stolen Base Freq.: +3
      Injury: +3
      Hook: +3

      Global

Pitch Speed: 0 (I still like default but this you can adjust to your liking)
      Umpire consistency: -4
      Pitch Count: +7
      Wind: +7

      Notes:

      -API is still Off
-These were developed from using the pitching meter. If you use classic pitching, some things will have to be adjusted. Especially the command slider.
-I have the strike zone off and vibration off. That is up to you

The error slider really did not work this year. I do not know the reasoning behind it, I tried everything. Actually, in the wish list thread I made the suggestion of breaking the error slider down into 3 categories- ground ball fielding, fly ball catch and throwing. That way it was not lumped all into one and the game could be tailored a little more.

Thanks for these sliders Nemesis. I just have a question, what do you suggest that I adjust using classic pitching? Sorry if you already answered this.

            Pitch Command: +2
            Wild Pitch Freq: -3
            Passed ball frequency: -4

are these the actual slider #'s or are you saying adjust pitch movement +1 clicks from where you already have it on your sliders or the pitch movement slider is +1? Dowie

I just cannot hit. I haven't played in a while but still, every single game I'm lucky to get 2-3 runs. I can't even tell you the last time I hit a double. I hit a ton of ground balls and feel lost on some pitches. Sometimes I feel as though I get a good read and make solid contact only to ground out.

How much of my hitting woes have to do with my positional players being tired?

My team has been awful at hitting lately while in franchise mode. I do not have any form of transportation so my guys are probably more tired than they should be. I am getting great pitching because my pitchers are almost always fully rested while playing. My hitting has been awful. I ground out SOOOOO much and never have any extra base hits. Is there a connection here? I'm going to go and play a play now game to see.

                      Re: HOF Sliders (Project Nemesis)

Aparently endurance plays a huge role during franchise mode. I just played an exhibition game, simming the pitching part, and I won in 10 innings 7-6 using the same Cardinals lineup. I had 16 hits, 1 2B, 1 3B, and 2 HRs. This is a night and day difference.

Are you guys playing season or franchise? If franchise, what are you doing to keep your players fresh so it's not a groundout fest? In hindsight, I remember my team hitting very well/normal the first week but started tailing off once they began getting tired.

Oh yeah, and another weird statistical thing one month into my season (I've played every game):

I have over 200 more put outs than any other team in the league. Granteed, I am tied for last in strikeouts but I'm nowhere near being super far behind the majority of the league, just at the bottom currently. Where are all of these extra outs coming from?

What do the pitch counts look like for the cpu pitcher? Are you working the counts to get a hitter's count? The cpu throws a tremendous amount of balls low in the zone to induce the ground ball or the weak hit.

Yeah my pitch counts are pretty routine. I usually have the pitcher 20 pitches above the inning he is currently pitching such as:

2nd inning: Aiming for 40 pitches
                            3rd inning: 50
                            4th: 60
                            5th: 70
                            6th: 80
                            7th: 90

Obviously, sometimes I have the pitcher into the 100's in the 5th inning and other times he'll pitch a complete game going around 100 pitches. It usually depends how tired I am lol.

Do you use the left stick for aiming? That is key for really good contact.
