11 Ks is good, but no where near abnormal. If you were getting 16+ every game that would be cause for concern, but 11 is just solid pitching at work. And CPU triples usually are the result of human error more than good hitting:wink: I've had my fair share of "@!$@$!@ !!!!!!" moments in the outfield, leading to triples and unnecessary runs (Thank God I somehow always get a rally started when John Buck singles/walks)

And Nemesis, please don't feel as if I am over taking your thread... In all honesty, I give you total credit for these sliders. You did all the hard work... I have just tweaked here and there a little. In the end, these are basically your work. I hope to hear some feedback from you, and I look forward to seeing what you ended up with for the PS3 version as well.Comment

Re: HOF Sliders (Project Nemesis)
Hey guys, I have a great game going here... one question though. How is everyone's pitch counts? My pitch counts seem a little low. I think there needs to be a few more foul balls to help pitch counts get higher. What do y'all suggest? Otherwise, I have a really good game going right now. I'll post some stats when finished.Comment

Re: HOF Sliders (Project Nemesis)
Oh my goodness!!! What a game!!!!! Well, I played with Texas again (that's my hometown team). Here were a few numbers...
Team R H E
Tex 4 10 1
Arz 3 8 0
We were tied at 2 going into the bottom of the 8th... I gave up the first home run of the game, a solo shot to right center field. Arizona took a 3-2 lead. However, in the bottom of the 9th I hit a 2 run walk off homerun to win the game!!
Other noteables... They struck me out 3 times, while I struck them out twice. They had one double, to go along with their homerun and 6 singles. I had 2 doubles to go along with my homerun and 7 singles. Not bad!
We each had 2 walks each. Their starter went into the 8th before leaving after throwing about 100 pitches (don't remember how many exactly).
My starter left after 5 innings and only throwing 60 something. I felt like it was time though.
I feel pretty good about the game. I would like to play around with this plate awareness/discipline slider for both human and cpu though.
By the end of the game I had increased the pitch speed slider to +3. I'm starting to adjust to the speed of the game better. I might try to go to a +4 before it's all said and done.Comment

Re: HOF Sliders (Project Nemesis)
The only changes I've made from the set on page 7, is that I've lowered CPU Pitch Speed to 4 so I can get around on pitches, but still strike out over 5 times a game, and maxed out the pitch count slider.Highheat's O's Franchise

Re: HOF Sliders (Project Nemesis)
To make things clear I treat default as 0. Any tweak to the right will have a (+) in front of it and any tweak to the left will have a (-) in front of it.
Human
Pitcher Fatigue:
-Starting: 0
-Relief: +3
Pitch movement: +8
Pitch Command: -8
Wild Pitch Freq: +3
Contact: -10
Power: +1
Plate Awareness: -3 (This is your ability to make contact, try adjusting this also instead of just contact and power. It should be a combination of all three)
Error Freq: +10
Throwing Strength:+2
Throwing Accuracy:-4
Fielder Speed:-2
Passed Ball Freq: +3
Injury: +3
CPU
Pitcher Aggr.: -8
Pickoff Attempt Freq.: -6
Contact: -10
Power: -1
Batter Plate Discipline: +5 Changed on 5-20
Fielder Reaction Time: -10
Throwing Strength: +2
Throwing Accuracy: -4
Error Freq: +10
Base running Aggr.: -3
Stealing Aggr.: +2
Stolen Base Freq.: +3
Injury: +3
Hook: +3
Global
Pitch Speed: 0 (I still like default but this you can adjust to your liking)
Umpire consistency: -4
Pitch Count: +7
Wind: +7
Notes:
-API is Off
-These were developed from using the pitching meter. If you use classic pitching, some things will have to be adjusted. Especially the command slider.
-I have the strike zone off and vibration off. That is up to you!
Somethings may still change because I am working on a drastic change for power, contact and vision. Understand that we all have different skill levels and these should be viewed as a spring board to get to your comfort level. I am thankful for everyones input and own experiences and no one should feel that they are taking over this thread. We are here to make this the best baseball experience this game can offer.
Thanks for everything and play ball!Last edited by nemesis04; 05-20-2007, 10:08 PM.“The saddest part of life is when someone who gave you your best memories becomes a memory”Comment

Re: HOF Sliders (Project Nemesis)
Played a game at default all-star last night and still wasn't where I want the game to be. So tried your "starter sliders" and had a very good game. Still able to hit the HR and had doubles by Barrett and Jones. Soriano also tripled off the LF wall in Milwaukee. The game is now giving me a good challenge which is what I want. Winning every game sucks while losing to better teams or having Santana K you three times in a game can actually be fun.
Off to try this new set. Great job and thanks again.Comment

Re: HOF Sliders (Project Nemesis)
It might just be me but I am finding with the contact slider at -10 the majority of runs are coming on homers for both myself and the CPU. In 3 straight games the only runs scored for both teams were courtesy of the long ball, however when I moved the contact back to -8 I was scoring runs on all kinds of hits, as was the CPU.
Anyone else noticing this?Comment

Re: HOF Sliders (Project Nemesis)
I prefer classic pitching and of course i can't set the pitch command that low or i throw tons of walks, what settings do you guys recommend for pitch command and pitch movement using classic pitching?
The rest of the sliders are really good for me, having a lot of fun with them and very realistic stats.Comment

Re: HOF Sliders (Project Nemesis)
I talked to the developer about this, we are increasing fatigue not stamina. I am trying it this way to test, personally I think the slider is broken.Last edited by nemesis04; 05-20-2007, 03:09 PM.“The saddest part of life is when someone who gave you your best memories becomes a memory”Comment

Anyone else noticing this?. If I was going to play at -8 then the power level would have to come down as well.
