I don't know what to tell you... thus far I just haven't had this problem using the slider sets in this very thread. It seems as though I am hitting one or two homeruns per game and 3-4 doubles per game. Maybe you need to use the power swing more? I do use the power swing frequently. I seem to use it more and more early in the count. Once I get to two strikes, I try to protect the plate with a normal swing.
May I suggest you also look into the cpu fielder reaction time slider and hum power slider if you are having trouble.

I was doing that when I first started playing the game but went to the contact slider more often. As I said I usually use the power swing when I guess location correctly but it doesn't seem to do anything. Do you use the R-stick, and if so, how?

No, I generally only use the R-stick if I'm really trying to get the ball to a certain part of the field. Like a sac fly, or get a ball on the ground to move a runner. I pretty much walk up to the plate and bat, only using the guess pitch feature and swing influence when I feel like the situation calls for it. All together I probably use those two features a combined 7 or so times per game.

I see extra base hits by me and the cpu. I wish I could figure out what the difference was?

Hey, remember that one game is hardly enough evidence to make a judgement on sliders. We have had several people in this thread working with these sliders or a slight variation of them. 18 hits is the most I have heard from anyone using these sliders. Consider yourself a lucky and very good day with them. People have to remember that baseball is not always a 3-2 score with 8 hits. I mean, look at the Rangers yesterday afternoon... hitting homerun after homerun and scoring 14 runs on 18 hits. Yet, this very team was no hit no more than a month ago and the Yankees a week later had a no hitter on them into the 7th inning.

Please play more than one game before making judgement on a set of sliders. I suggest playing at least 3 or 4 games and then coming to some averages. Then decide from there if you want to tweak some things.

18 hits? Just by you or both teams together? I have played more games than I can count and never have had an explosive situation like that!

I've now played 3 very good ballgames using these sliders. The only slugfest I've had came at Wrigley with the wind blowing out at 24 mph. Get it up in the wind and it was gone

Just a quick question regarding API....I see you suggest to turn it off..I like that feature so I currently have it set to Default On...What factor does API play in these sliders?

It helps the cpu throw more variety with it off. With it on the cpu throws too many fastballs and they hang around the zone too much. You can play with it on, pitch counts may be a bit lower for the cpu.

With regards to your pitcher, they call for too many fastballs and they really do not mix things up too well, imo.

Are these sliders available for download when you go online in the game ? I saw a set called operation sports and wondered if these were the same ones.

I see these are called HOF sliders. I know it sounds stupid but when I download some hof sliders from the game it doesn't change my setting of veteren. You also don't mention changing this setting. Should i change my batting preference to hall of fame and are there any other setting in that section that need changing ?

Mine are not up for download yet. The download will adjust your sliders but not your difficulty level. These sliders were geared for the HOF level, that is what it means.

Just wanted to say great job on the sliders. Even though I can't get extra base hits or HR's I realize that it's not your problem, it's mine. I am having a blast with this game on HOF otherwise. I'll keep working at it and hopefully it will come to me.
