Re: HOF Sliders (Project Nemesis)
how often does an outfielder get under a fly ball only to have it bounce off his glove?

Re: HOF Sliders (Project Nemesis)
What system are you playing on? If it is the ps3, I am suprised to hear that because at that setting the cpu definately takes many pitches. You would have to jump it up to +7 but I find they take too many pitches. A quick note, if you are on the ps2 +5 would have them swinging at everything but if I recall you are on the ps3, correct?“The saddest part of life is when someone who gave you your best memories becomes a memory”Comment

Re: HOF Sliders (Project Nemesis)
Your pitch count seems to be there. If they were really swinging and putting the in play your pitch counts would easily be half that. I do not see a problem with this.“The saddest part of life is when someone who gave you your best memories becomes a memory”Comment

Re: HOF Sliders (Project Nemesis)
these sliders are pretty good, realistic
my first game with them i played the Cards with the Tigers in a 5-inning game
it ended up going to "extras" till the 7th when they won on a 2 run homer by Adam Kennedy
final score was 3-1, we both had four hits
only problem was i seemed to strike out a lot, 10 times in seven innings
of course, i am aggressive and I was facing Chris CarpenterTeams I Live and Die with:
MLB: Detroit Tigers
NCAAFB: Michigan Wolverines
NFL: New York Giants/Detroit Lions
NHL: Detroit Red Wings
NBA: Detroit Pistons
NCAABB: Oakland University Golden Grizzlies

Sounds like you had a nice close game! You will get used to the hitting, it takes a little time.“The saddest part of life is when someone who gave you your best memories becomes a memory”Comment

Re: HOF Sliders (Project Nemesis)
Well nemesis, I played a few games with the Rangers, sure fire way to see if the pitching was to easy for myself, and I sure had a wakeup call, they are horrible. In the very first game against the Angels, Millwood gave up 6 runs in 2 innings with the -7/+1 settings I was using at the time. I would prefer a setting that worked well across the board but with it at the -7/+1 it sure does play different when facing teams in the AL. I think the biggest difference is the DH in the AL, having the benefit of facing the pitchers spot a few times a game certainly helped keep offensive numbers to a minimum in the NL.Comment

Welcome to the American League!Actually, in interleague play the National league has a horrendous record against the American league. I would probably have two settings for power and contact if you find too much offense when facing the American league.

Re: HOF Sliders (Project Nemesis)
Hey guys, been getting awesome results with these sliders, i play as the Yanks, i use the -10 contact +1 power set for my hitting and the 8 and 0 for the AI's hitting sliders.... everything seems about right except doubles so far, seems like i get way too many singles. anybody else noticing this? any good way to fix this? thanks nemesis other than that its been great so far!Comment

Re: HOF Sliders (Project Nemesis)
Isnt that the truth, I went through and took the overall rating for each team and averaged it out for each division and the entire NL, all 3 divisions, were weaker then the entire AL, out of the top 10 rated teams there were only 3 that were in the NL, Mets, Dodgers and Cubs, and the other 7 were in the AL.Comment

Re: HOF Sliders (Project Nemesis)
well nemesis i finaly found a set of hitting sliders for the cpu im very happy with, the cpu scores runs on a variety of hits, gap shots look sweet for doubles or triples, shots down the line or over the first baseman or over the third baseman head look good for doubles also,it took alot of extensive testing many nights without any sleep to find a hitting set for me and the cpu, i wanna thank u for making a great slider set i can work off of, well anyway here they are, Thanks................Nasa
for all of you playing the PS2 version and you want the cpu to hit more give these a shot they might not be for everybody, but it gives me a great challenge with great ball dynamics.
I count all my clicks from default everything else on nemesis sliders stay the same.
Pitch speed -1 ( i lower this down one for ball dynamics, pitching is still a challenge)
user contact -7
cpu contact -7
user power -default
cpu power -default
user fielder speed -3 ( i lower this down one from nemesis setting so i can see cpu hit doubles down the line or over the head of the first baseman or third baseman)
ive played all types of games with these settings slugfest and pitching duels, dominance and failure.
Thanks again nemesis for ur great set.........................NasaLast edited by steven; 07-16-2007, 07:04 AM.Comment
