    Re: Edwy's AllStar Sliders

My goodness!!!!! I've played about 30 minutes of this game, as it may not be as pretty as 2k7, it is a heck of a lot more fun and realistic. I played almost 6 innings on default and not one BS play by the AI logic. No 8 home runs a game, which I got the first time I played 2k7. I love it, I can see I'm going to spend many, many hours with this game, now if only I can get online to get the rosters.

Your high batting average must be the result of using the guess pitch, I've played 5 games today on All-Star and had 28 hits in those games without it.
As for the high ERA, I like the command at 0 as well. I played one game each on All-Star and HOF with it at 0, it does make pitching more difficult.

Yep, im experimenting with the Pitch Command Slider more. Glad your liking the game better than 2k7 :P . As far as the bugs in franchise, I dont play franchise but I heard theres a big trade bug. I only play season. Im thinking about restarting my season .....again!!... after I finish up all these other experiments and get my perfect slider set

P.S. I get rocked by the CPU if I play in HoF

I feel exactly the same way. After just a few innings of this game I knew thaty my copy of MLB 2k7 was headed to Ebay.

I bumped my power up to 7 now, so I'll see how that goes.

What are your CPU box scores and how many walks were you giving up before Edwy? Are you getting runs from the AI off of singles, doubles, and the occasional home run?

Hey Edwy, do you think it would hurt to move fielder speed to 0? I'm not seeing many doubles, triples by the CPU.

I would say move it for both the user and cpu if that was the case then. I play with autofielding on so Im not quite sure how much effect that would have on these sliders

You should definetley see more HR's, and not that many to where your just hitting HR's all over the place, I know I am and im still trying to catch up with the rest of the league in my season.

CPU box scores are good, im seeing a little bit of everything. After a few more games im liking the Pitch Command at 0, I think ill keep it there for the time being, if the CPU would get a hit off, it would either be a single or double, sometimes a Homer, and rarely a triple, mostly if I screwed up in the outfield.

Im also not using the Guess Pitch feature anymore, only have it on for the swing analysis info.

Wish I could edit the original post with the updated changes...poop

Hey guys, I'm using Edwy's Allstar Sliders, but I have CPU contact and power on 9. I have pitch movement at 12 and pitch command at 0. My problem is the CPU doesn't score off me, the last 5 games I have held the CPU to under three runs. I'm using the White Sox. Any thoughts I what I could try to get the CPU to hit more and score more runs?

                                Update:

I've played 5 games with Edwy's sliders, except I've moved the pitch count one to the right, my pitch speed is at 5 not 4 and I bumped up CPU power a notch.

I've won 3 lost 2.... I won an incredible 11-8 17 inning game last week... 16 of the runs were scored in the first 9 innings, and I was starting to think that batting was too easy. Then I got owned for 7 innings until I hit a 3-run double in the 17th.

Next two games I have loast 4-2 and 7-3. I feel things are very realistic... over the past 3 games I am batting around .290 (I'm the Rockies, probably a little high, but...) have hit 3 HR's, 4 doubles, 1 triple, lots of singles, am striking out around 6-7 times a game, walking 2-3 times, I am striking out on average about 5 batters a game, walking 1-2.

I turned the strike zone off, API off, and only have a faded pitch cursor to pitch. No guess pitch batting... everything is challenging and each game I really feel I could win or lose depending on how well I play.

Thanks for your help Edwy, these have been great.
