Okay, so I've had a few posts and most of the response is that 20 games is a small sample. I actually restarted my season 3 times now and have a total of about 70 games played between all seasons. As I posted previously the one area I think that slightly needs tweaking for me is computer hitting. Through all the games and seasons combined the computer is always hitting about .250 or so against me. My first 10 games (which are in my new season -CUBS-) I have turned the computer contact up to 5 and they are still hitting a low average. MLB batting averages against for 08 again ranged from .306 to .360, so through all these games it's still not close. Anyone else dominating the computer??? What should I change??? Everything else I am relatively satisfied with and really think this is my last restart...but who knows...

Eh? Are you trying to say you think the CPU should be hitting between .306 and .360 off you? If you are thats absolutely one hundred million miles from reality.
Can you explain that more?Comment

I just wanted to thank you for your efforts and for these great sliders. I'm having great games with realistic results with these. I prefer to use the auto fielder option as I prefer to rely on the fielder ratings.Comment

I just wanted to say goodbye to everyone. Please dont miss me. After playing baseball. I realized two things. No matter what sliders you use its to easy. I used these on the hardest level and won 10-3 all the time. Batting average over .300 for everyone on my team. Then I realized something else. I am 37 and video games are for kids under 10. I sold my PS3 with all my games for 350 on ebay. I feel so much better. I am going outside and playing ball with my friends. We dont have to tweak how far they can throw or how fast they run. Re: ***The 'Perfect' Slider Set*** MLB 09 - The Show
I went ahead and set the error sliders back and I'm going to use manual fielding, auto fielding just isn't working for me. The auto fielding feature might be broke, not sure. No way you should have a combined 16 errors between your 3B, SS, and 2B. And every throw from my 2B is high, every single one. So I'm going to try manual fielding and see if that calms things down a bit.
But anyway I just finished the month of April and figured I'd post some stats.
Team ERA - 4.19
Team AVG - .281
12-9 Record - 2nd place - 3 1/2 GB

Re: ***The 'Perfect' Slider Set*** MLB 09 - The Show
Psycho, yes that is what I think is reality.... I looked on MLB.com and checked the team pitching stats for the entire 2008 season. OBA (opponent batting average) for each team ranged from .306 to .360, you should check it out and let me know what you think, maybe I'm missing something. I thought it was a bit high when I first saw it as well. This year in the MLB so far the OBA range is from .316 and .358.Comment

Re: ***The 'Perfect' Slider Set*** MLB 09 - The Show
OMG, I'm a friggin IDIOT!!! I just rechecked it and you can scroll over to more stats and there is AVG. The OBA must be on base average not opponent batting average.... the avg. ranges from .242 to .280 or something. Jeez I just restarted all those seasons for nothing.... **** what a waste of time.... I should be about 70-80 games in, instead of 10..LMAO, sorry for doubting you Psycho.
One thing I would like to do is walk a few more people I usually only have about 1-2 a game and I am always first in walks allowed by a big margin, do you give up the least walks in the league as well.Comment

Re: ***The 'Perfect' Slider Set*** MLB 09 - The Show
I am first in the league in walks allowed and I feel I pitch around most of the good hitters. I never intentionally throw a pitch down the middle and am always trying to paint the corners to get K's. I am not in first by much though, maybe 5 to 10 walks after 18 games.Comment

Re: ***The 'Perfect' Slider Set*** MLB 09 - The Show
Hey Psycho, I lowered CPU control to 4 and strike frequency to 0 and I've been having some pretty good games. I dont smash the ball all the time and I get a mix of no walk games and 2-4 walk games. What do you think of this change? Would you make this change? I'd like to hear your input#1 Rule of Sliders: Realism is RelativeComment
