thanks both for your help, titus and dorismary. i'm going to try to lower the cpu pitch control to 4 and see if it helps but i really dont want to mess things up by having huge hit totals.
guys, i just may fool around with user power at 10 and see if it doesn't throw things to out of whack cause the way these sliders play out now, i'm seeing realistic hit totals from the cpu and user and do not wish to foul them up.

if you're seeing too many hits from the CPU, counter by lowering their Timing another notch.

i noticed the CPU has a lot better "timing' (duh, because it's a computer, haha) than the User, so even lowering Contact by itself doesn't always prevent it from smoking your pitches.

you know i should sometimes just smack myself in the back of my head as i realized that i had the pitch speed at 5. once i lowered it to 0, i played a game with the angels ( me ) versus the mariners and lo and behold, i wound up smacking two homers in the first couple of innings ( by matsui and morales ). so now i'm going to put the cpu pitch control back at 5 and keep the pitch speed at 0 and see how this plays out. hopefully everything will pan out the way i like.

just took a look at these and man, they seem to be very good subtle changes. i'm going to follow them to a "t" and see what happens. thanks again and good luck on your mlb 10 experience.

Awesome man, glad to hear you're having a fun experience with this game. Thanks to dorismary, those last few small changes were coming off things he was saying to help out. I am 95% sure I won't be touching these again from here on out.

Was wondering if having Solid Hits at 9 for the user causes too many Hr's or triples for anyone? Haven't tried these yet but considering this is on veteran level I'm afraid that will be the case. I'm away from home and am unable to play the game until Wed.

Another question......with this slider set do you have the problem of ground balls constantly going under the glove of gold glove infielders? That's one of my pet peeves in this version of The Show

Def not causing too many HRs. Fielding is the best Ive seen, you see what ur saying at times still, but very rarely. Try them for a few games and see what u think!

Went back to these sliders and I'm enjoying them. I lost to the Red Sox 11-3 in the first game and then came back and shut them out 5-0 with a complete game shutout from Javy Vazquez, first one I've ever thrown...

Glad to see u back jkra haha! I am 99.5% sure I have done my last changes. So what you see on the first post is FINAL. Game plays great overall with them, good luck in ur season or whatever, and have fun! Lemme know what you think, feedback etc... Thanks!

Im back Baby ! still dont know about Hu Pitch control/consistency at 1/7 ?
Any pitching tips for me at key moments lol and high Hu pitch counts ?.
I also have errors at 5/5 and Baserunner steal freq at 10 as I see little cpu steal or hits and runs .

Enjoying these again Trin aka Titus , you really caught the feel of real baseball at an enjoyable pace , very nice and yes HR chances are improved
These just play perfect stat wise with my rosters .

Somethings wrong with Infield hits on routine plays or slight bobbles guys are safe ?
Im lower BR speed to 4 nah raising Throw speed to 4 and youll also see less stupid baserunning decision ?
Man avg runners safe on Hard liners ?
Steals are perfect ! Having a great game Hit 3 HRs

Lots of twists and turns in this one I won in 11 INNINGS with a walkoff HR By Quentin after coming back twice in the 8th and 11th .
Well I was the W sox vs Tor in Chicago and I also had 4 HR just like the W Sox huh ?

Tor 4-10-1
Sox 6-12 -0

Only one concern there was 2 infleid base hits on rountine plays of hard hit balls .
Lewis on me to Alexi ss I even release the ball quick ?
Beckham on a liner that had a slight bobble by Tor ss .
I raised Arm strength at thge end but I feel it might be a Fld speed thing , you know like his ball release ?
Everything else is great Titus any suggestion for me as I play your sliders Exact .
