I'm going to leave it as is for now, CPU is having no problem getting hits off of me.

I am starting to notice the CPU having trouble stealing off of me though. I'm thinking about tinkering with that. Doris, what do you suggest?

Thats cool...my first FULL game with it at 4 against the Cards they had 18 hits against me in 11 innings, beating me 6-4 lol

Padres are next, so we'll see what happens!

SEASON UPDATE!

I just hit the Allstar break in my season with a 55-34 record...SERIOUSLY limping into the break, going only 3-7 in my last 10 games!

Lead of 8.5gms is now down to 5.5 on the Dodgers in the division

Angels have the best record at the break at 57-34(I'm 3rd behind Angels, and Yankees)

Since losing my #1 SP it felt like the Morale of the team went down or something. He's still out for 2-3 weeks, just placed him on the 15 day DL again, so at least out for that.

I'm hoping to catch fire after the break again, Teams coming up after the break are:

@ Reds(47-43)
@ Marlins( 38-51)
@ Phillies(50-39)
vs Pirates(36-52)
vs Cubs(46-43)

Gonna play the Allstar game in hopes to gain homefield advantage in the World Series for the NL just in case I can make it! Wish me luck HA!

Me and Mr Titus play a bit different but you can check my sliders in my Other Veteran Thread Shamless plug .
But remember I had to raise 3 sliders to make um all blend and I use assited Fielding.
Arm strength to 5 , Baserunning speed to 6 and steal frequency to 10 .
The first 2 were what Titus originally had before I swayed him .

This change and a few others also improved gameplay as on the old ones (at least with assist Fld )the infield wasnt very active going back into the OF on pop flys and the Cpu OF would come in way to far 15 feet from the infield check it out to make the play as the IF didnt move , but for whatever reason Im seeing more range by the Infield now ?
From what Phoenix told me just like the cpu OF is faster than Human the Baserunning is also different as human has the advantage on stealing .
So now I have it pretty balanced and I dont even take leadoffs when I steal so its even ground for both .
This is why I wanted seperate Global sliders for both Hu and Cpu .
I still wish the cpu would steal a bit more but maybe its the teams and situations .
I can explain more if needed and let me know what you think ?
Also if you Assist you gotta release the ball fast just like real ball .
Man I had a great Arod backhander and Jeter from the Hole , bang bang Oh and you know when you tossed the ball to second for a force out or DP and it almost look like the guys safe because the ball floats its now gone do to raising arm strength and BR Speed , one smooth motion .
Hopefully it will blend with auto FLD gameplay as Titus has errors at 4/4 and mine are 8/8 do to I play assited fld.

Ya I know, they are comin after me! I play against them for a 3 game set August 17-19th, anda again August 27-29th...

Then 2 three game sets in mid September, and late Semptember..Should be fun!

I'm thinking I'll play every single game divisional game in September if it's still a close race for the pennant

I played with your baserunning sliders last night and I was playing Tampa and Crawford tried to steal a lot, Zorbist tried once but no one else really did. Crawford tried to steal 2nd once and 3rd once. He stole 2nd and I nailed him at 3rd. Zorbist stole 2nd successfully. When I read that you had Steal Frequency at 10 I thought that was too high and everyone would be trying to steal but it looks like only the great basestealers will try it a lot and when they get on base I'm just going to have to play real close attention to them.

I left errors alone, I'm seeing enough. I had 3 errors my last game. I don't like to see them every other game like you mentioned. Errors should happen in spurts, not consistently imo. I like the way Titus has his.

So it looks like I'll be using a mix between yours and Titus which is fine, lol.

Your playing auto fielder correct ?
then yeah leave at 3 but if you ever play assited Fielder go to 8/8 or 7/8 on errors .
Yeah Stealing isnt over dome and if you look at replay youll also see more hit and Run also .

Figured I'd give an update. I've made it back to the .500 mark, well almost. I'm currently on a 7 game winning streak and am at 40-41 with a Sunday afternoon game against the Marlins about to start. I'm only 6 GB and in 3rd place. Melky is due back in a week and Chipper will return in about 4 weeks.

Things are looking good. I did go ahead and up the CPU's contact to 4 though as Titus suggested. In my recent winning streak the CPU is hitting some but not much. It could be just a hot streak I'm on though and not slider related but I figured the added challenge couldn't hurt.

Any update on your seasons thus far? This thread has seemed to die on us.

I don't think the cpu not hitting enough is slider related completely. At 4 it was too much for me lol...I think its a mix of a hot streak with ur pitchers, and the sliders. I went back down to 3, and doing just fine honestly. My pitchers(2 or 3) went on a cold streak as well anyway. Last game I played againstthe Phillies earlier I lost 7-6, I had 11 hits, and they had 12. Game before that I beat them 7-2, with them having I think 6 or 8 hits. Plays great at 3, just think the hot/cold streak factors in more there.

I'm 60-40 overall now I believe(4.5gms up on Dodgers). I'm set on July 27th in my season, looking to get Ubaldo Jimenez back real soon, prolly only should miss one more rotation start.

I'm going to try it at 4 for about a week and see how I do. Through a couple of games it's working fine. I might have to go back to 3 but I'm going to stick with it at 4 for a few games.

See all of my pitchers have ERA's in the 3's, some are under 3. My bullpen guys ERA's are high though. It's weird.

Then again I am playing with the Braves and they do have a very good starting rotation.

Bought this game a couple of days ago and have'nt had a chance to play yet! Started one game at default, and literally played a half and inning because I had to start dinner so that gor scatched.

Anyway After a game or 2 I will No doubt use these sliders. They look very close to the ones I used last year.

I tried these this afternoon and I really, really enjoyed them. I am not the greatest with bat in hand and I had a decent afternoon (11 hits, 5 runs). I lost to the Orioles 8-5 with the Brewers, but I HAD FUN in losing (errors cost me in the field).

Nice! Glad to hear you had fun losting haha...errors will def cost you, I've had a no hitter into the 7th but was losing 1-0 cuz of a couple errors before lol
