Yeah I am able to as well, may need to paint the corners a bit more.

Yep, definately, dont be afraid to paint even on 3-2 counts, dont be afraid to walk batters, never give in lol.

Thats often why people often complain of lack of user walks...they give in on 3 ball counts and spear one down the middle instead of continuing to try and hit the corners.

I actually don't mind giving up walks, I was failing hardcore using analog pitching which didn't allow me to paint the corners consistently so I went back to meter just recently and I'll get back to my usual game plan

I dont mind giving up walks against Pujols or somebody i know will smack the ball out of the park, however i will try to blow one by someone speedy, usually up high because of heir lack of power.

Re: TNK & PsychoBulk ***The Perfect Slider Set 2011 Edition***

I played 2 games with very very very very different results and I enjoyed every second of it!

Game 1: NYY vs DET (CPU) / CC Sabathia vs Verlander.

This game was everything you would expect. Low scoring, pitchers duel which was absolutely dominated by good defense and amazing clutch pitching.

I had a 1 hitter w/ CC going into the 9th w/ 6 K's and I knocked Verlander out in the 7th with an RBI triple by Cano.

I was leading 2-0 in 9th w/ CC and gave up a lead off double, pass ball and a walk. I now had 1 out and Mariano on the mound. CC ended up giving up 2 hits w/ 7 K's, 8.1 IP.

Mo got game ending DP on first pitch out of bullpen. Yankees win 2-0.

            Game 2:

SEA (CPU) vs NYY: SEA 4th Starter vs Freddy Garcia (me)

I gave up 9 runs total in game, over 10 hits, and scored 4 runs with plenty of missed opportunity.

Their starting pitcher threw over 100 pitches in just 6 innings of work. I worked walks all game long and missed opportunities.

Crushed a bomb with Tex on a 3-1 pitch in the first inning. Sat fastball in with power swing and drilled it. Garcia gave up a ton of hits and 2 HRs both with runners on.

All and all gameplay is solid so far, and I know its only 2 games but 2 completely different games that played out how I would think they would IRL given the pitchers on the mound.

Game 1 I need a almost flawless game from CC to beat Verlander and got it. Game 2 I needed to not miss opportunities because my pitcher was going to give up some runs, and I couldn't come thru. I felt both games could've gone either way for the most part and the decisions and actions within the game really had an impact. I wasn't sitting there wondering how that happened, it seemed realistic and natural.

            So far so good!

I had an 18 inning gm vs Verlander with CC yesterday that I won with a 2 run homer in the 18th then of course Rivera got the save. I actually tied the gm 2-2 in the 7th inning with an inside the park HR from Granderson. Their CF tried to dive on a liner in center, and it cost them dearly. I ended up winning 4-2. I saved the highlights i might upload em to youtube later.

                Having some problems...

Hey guys. First, I'd like to thank both TNK and Pyscho for putting in so much time to help us out. There are a few things I'm having problems with so far:
                1) VERY slow defensive animations. It happened a little last year too but this year it seems to happen more often.
                2) Can NEVER turn double plays. Every single time my 2B or SS is knocked down and cannot complete the double play while the CPU is able to make these plays easily.
                3) Goes along with 2): The defensive controls seem very jerky. Guys spaz out before you can get anything accomplished. Last year seemed much, much smoother.
Is this something they will fix with a download? Is anybody else having these same problems?
Thanks for any responses and TNK and Pyscho keep up the good work. I've been following both threads for a couple years.

Don't worry too much.......we should have an official release out maybe today

The sliders that are already posted are just what I was messing around with - they are not what Psycho was using although we were very close. We will have something that the two of us have put together very shortly. I am just waiting to hear from Psycho to give me the OK to post them.

Both of our sets were close - we made some subtle tweaks and compromised on a couple things

Haha, indeed there were some compromises, i always have pitch speed 5 and not 4, but thats very much user preference.

Couple of other tweaks will no doubt come over time.

Psychobulk, are you Timing Only (HOF), Meter (HOF)...? Are those your own personal variations? I thought you both used different hitting mechanics as well?

Closer and closer to default each year. That says a lot about this series.

Liked these overall. Two bad teams but good game.

Game was balanced until my reliever came in and gave up 5 runs. Good variation of hits etc, overall good will try some better teams now
