We did 9-day Southern Caribbean this time (Dominican Rep., Tortola, Antigua, Barbados, St. Kits)......easily the best cruise I have gone on.

AMAAAZZZIIIING SLIDERS!!! I just went 14 innings in a 6-5 loss. It was awesome!
I was wondering what button you guys use to hit? I never use the power swing and only use contact if I have 2 strikes and a batter that NEEDS to put the ball in play. Other than that I use X which I think is just regular swing? (I looked in the booklet and it doesn't even tell me).Comment

Use Zone Hitting
Swing with the X and aim wit the left stick to Zone where the ball is
Only use Power once in a great while - maybe once a game in a key at bat in a 3-0 count when you need a bomb in a crucial at bat.
Use the O button for contact swing when you are down in a count and need to get the bat on the ball
Basically you should be swinging with X 95% of the timeComment

Game #8 of The Season
The Red Sox pushed across a run in the 1st inning and Dustin Pedroia launched a 2-run HR in the 3rd inning to put the Sox up 3-0 early in the game. Pedroia was off to a slow start as this was hist 1st HR and RBI's of the season. Kevin Youkilis added a 2-run HR in the 6th to extend Boston's lead to 5-0. Clay Buchholz pitched 6 shutout innings and sturck out 8 before leaving after throwing 104 pitches. Pedroia hit his 2nd HR of the game in the 7th inning to make it 7-0. The Yankees got on the board in the 8th on a Teixeira sac fly to make it 7-1. JD Drew added a 2-run HR of his own in the 8th to make it 9-1 Boston and that was the way it would end as the Sox even their record at 4-4 on the season.

I don't like zone hitting. The other option just uses the player vision for contact right? So if I'm using the other option that is NOT zone hitting...I should just use X.
That's what I'm guessing anyways. I hate aiming at the ball with the stick. I'm having enough trouble timing the ball as it is without having to deal with moving the L stick to where the ball is suppose to be. LOLComment

It has been verified by numerous people on here that you will get better results using Zone......it sounds like it's gonna be harder - BUT IT'S NOT
TRUST ME - switch to zone for 5 games and give it an honest go, don't quit after 3 innings and you will convert to ZONE HITTINGComment

I struggled with zone for a while but after a handful of games your eye gets better and it becomes almost instinct to move the left stick.
I found that by starting out not aiming with the stick I actually got better when I had to aim. Does that make sense?Comment

The great thing about using Zone with these sliders.... is that you DO NOT have to move the left stick to get good results... read back a few pages and you will see what I mean...
