Re: TNK & PsychoBulk ***The Perfect Slider Set 2011 Edition***
TNK is away at the moment so we will see his thoughts on this when he gets back, the difference being he plays on All-Star, so solid hits at 2 there may be ok, however...
...im on HOF and for anyone else playing on HOF i recommend putting SOLID HITS to 3, no need to jump higher than that. I have seen a marked difference in line drives versus popups etc and now balls smoked are becoming the xtra base hits they deserve to be more often than when SH was at 2. It doesnt mean everyone suddenly starts belting doubles but what i have seen is that balls more deserving of being an x-base hit are more often going to become one on 3.
If you are struggling on AS then by all means try 3, but my recommedation for now is for those on HOF to move Solid Hits to 3, you will see a difference, a subtle, one, over time.
Im on Zone by the way.Comment

Psycho, with the update to contact to 6, you dont think the CPU fouls off to many pitches? I feel like I can get them on 0-2 counts, but when its times to throw pitches in the dirt, unless they are completely late/early, they get a piece of anything.
I am thinking of putting contact back to 5, leaving power at 4, and making solid hits at 3...what'ya think?Comment

I'm playing with power on user power at 4, anyone else playing at 5? I'm thinking about moving up, but wondering if there will be too many home runs and too many well hit balls that would drop in on 4, but on 5 would be long fly outs?Comment

Re: TNK & PsychoBulk ***The Perfect Slider Set 2011 Edition***
Just to throw it out there to see what feedback I get. I went through and compiled the CPU batting stats through the 13 games Ive played (7-6 record FWIW) and the CPU is 115/475 batting at a miserable clip of .242 which seems low. Ive thought about raising solid hits to 3 for the CPU, anyone tried this yet? I figured maybe raising it to 3 would cut down a bit on the weak pop ups and maybe infuse a few extra hits each game making their batting averages a little more respectful. The CPU has been able to hit at times as they have hit over .300 in a game 3 times out of those 13 games but then there are many times where a team goes 3/29 like St Louis in my last game. Any feedback would help, thanks.Comment

If I remember correctly, NYY (through around 115 games in 2010), were pitching to a .248 batting average. So, in the NL, .242 wouldn't be out of the realm of realistic by any means.Comment

I'm not trying to convince you NOT to raise Solid Hits, Chef.
Actually, I think you should. I'm just saying .242 isn't THAT bad.Comment

I guess I should also mention that my lack of HR's is annoying as hell but apparently thats just me since everyone else isnt having any trouble with power numbers.Comment

Re: TNK & PsychoBulk ***The Perfect Slider Set 2011 Edition***
I moved down to Veteran for both hitting and pitching.
Do you think these sliders will still work? Also, I always use regular swing and I'm having a tough time getting contact. Do you guys use circle (contact) swing mostly? I don't get why we have 3 buttons to swing now. I never used power swing last year and just used the other and now I'm confused on what to use.Comment
