I PM'd Heroes a slider set I have been using since release (and Knights openinig day rosters).

I hope they can work for you.

Last night Phil Hughes on a hot streak going into his start (first game after the All-Star Break) promptly walks the first batter to start a 3 game series vs the Blue Jays. A SB and single later I am down 1-0.

Second inning. He walks the first 2 batters. Then a base hit and now the bases are loaded.

He goes ahead and walks a run in with the bases loaded. Now keep in mind I did not move the marker and just resigned myself to throw a meatball down the middle to get the count to 3-2 (it was 3-1) but Hughes was having such a bad day with control he still threw a fast ball down and away as I just held the "x" button for a second and a half to just get it over the plate.

So....what I am saying is...I love Classic pitching. It really gives the best sim feel for this game. Hughes struggled for 2 more innings gave up 5 runs total on 3 stinkin hits!!! Brackman came in for long relief and we rallied back to win this game 11-8 on Curtis Grandersons 3-5 day including 2 HR's and 5 RBI's.

Just went with Classic pitching in my last 2 games. Took a few innings to get the hang of but I'm liking it. The Analog pitching was fun, but I love the ratings-dependent Classic system. I think it really separates the good pitchers from the average and bad pitchers. Even okay pitchers can have good outings, but all said and done, things are going to even out over the course of a season.

Just went with Classic pitching in my last 2 games. Took a few innings to get the hang of but I'm liking it. The Analog pitching was fun, but I love the ratings-dependent Classic system. I think it really separates the good pitchers from the average and bad pitchers. Even okay pitchers can have good outings, but all said and done, things are going to even out over the course of a season.

What difficulty are you on? Sliders?

Just Veteran. CPU batting sliders all default, HUM pitching sliders all default except Starter Stamina maxed and Control bumped up 2 notches (which I did upon switching to Classic). Pitch Speed @ 3.

I've only pitched with Bronson Arroyo & Mike Leake so far so my sample size isn't anything compared to what you guys have, but I like it so far. It's producing a very fun, realistic game for me.

I really like the ability to hold the pitch button and get the rumble to show that you're putting extra effort behind a pitch. I used Classic in '09 and that was thecase there, but there was no rumble feedback. The Analog Pitching claimed if you moved the stick faster up it would put the extra effort, but it seemed random to me (and no way to know... is it the yellow indication? No one seemed to know for sure).

I'm finding my strategy for pitching has changed from Analog to Classic. Since I have a bit less influence on the success of the pitch and it's more due to my player ratings, the batter/pitcher battle seems so much more cerebral now. Do I put the extra effort into this pitch? Do I aim way wide of where I actually want the ball to go because of that? There's so many factors that go into every pitch, I just love it.

I've asked around and many people do, in fact, use All-Star for their Classic pitching sliders.
In my two Default AS games last night, I walked a total of 7 (only had 2 BBs on HOF) and had two good outings. One (with Mark Prior) was 5 IP, 6 H, 3 ER, 3 BB, 7 K.

I started my franchise's and pleased with the results. I can feel the difference between a good staff and a bad one.

Geronimo must be a stud. I played another two games on HOF and don't think I can handle the wildness. I'd be FINE with a capital F if it was just really combustable 3-5 starters. But aces don't act like themselves.

Iliveforthis, if you're truly going to take the time to test AS, track your stats like you did for the HOF test. I have 30 games worth of data we can share, and would be willing to run an additional one with you if you think I should.

QS and CPU HR's were my major issues (remember, I raised my consistency to 6, and probably shouldn't have). But I loved the BB and K...especially when I'd fool the CPU. It was very rewarding.

Geronimo, you may be one of those players that are meant to pitch on HOF (Classic). Clearly, SCEA must have tested it, so it HAS to be possible to figure out for advanced players (one with the ability to vary patterns, etc). I just don't think I'm one of them. At least not with Classic on HOF. Meter is another story, however.

I think I'm going to keep testing some AS, it just has the 'fun' element that HOF lacks.
heroes, could you post Armor & Swords' sliders so I can see what he's running? I may drop consistency while pitching on AS, but we shall see.

It's hard to give an opinion after only playing such a short number of games. This is baseball not football... But here are my stats with ATL after 3 games.

I'd try them now. But, unfortunately, fielder run speed and reaction speed are reduced so much, that I'd have to change my hitting sliders to compensate.

Iliveforthis, I'd personally recommend that you run your own personal test, starting at default pitching and CPU hitting. But, if you wanna compare, here they are (he hits on Vet, pitches on AS):
