I think the reason mine is 'perfect' is the fact that I don't pitch to the black or the corners. I will with 0-2, 1-2 counts but once I get to 3-2 or 2-2, I pitch more over the plate.
Maybe I'll give it some more time, should we drop to AS tho? I will use the Mariners and D-Backs/Stros.

Don't take this the wrong way... But I think your strike percentage is TOO GOOD. It's almost like you need to get more walks...

Again, this is really out of character for me too. I'd be willing to carry on with this if either of you could convince me that there was something I could do about the BB.

HERO, I liveforthis stats should be all the reason why you should continue. Look at the stats he posted. 2 walks in 2 games.

Also Hero, maybe I missed something... If you played 5 games with Joshson, that means you played 20 games already? Or where they exhibition games? Maybe I mis read something

Man. I'm torn.

I've spent a bunch of time on AS with Classic. My changes were CPU power 4, User Consistency 6, and Fielding Speed at 4.

There was an overwhelming number if HR's, and an underwhelming number of CPU singles. This, and they never really were able to rally with 2 outs.

IF we tried this, I'd have to suggest that User consistency be dropped to 4, and probably power go back to default. Or at the default power and default consistency.

Iliveforthis, are you free enough to play a game? I'm at work.

I think I played 7 games. I just kept on pitching with Johnson, trying to figure this whole strikes thing out...as to NOT mess our testing up.

Am I wrong in assuming that Josh Johnson has atleast a 1 in 5 chance of dominating the Mets?

Iliveforthis only posted two games, so it's hard to tell. Maybe his high strikes are causing the CPU runs? And the low strikes are causing mine? LOL!

I really don't know what to do here.

Okay.

I really don't want to give up on HOF...or atleast Classic in general.

Maybe I'll try ONE more time with this, and play at least 10 games.

What do you think of raise consistency to 7, while leaving everything else where we had them.

This should get my strikes up (based on my nibbling style) and get Iliveforthis' strikes down (allowing him to feel comfortable nibbling more).

What do you guy's think?

Or do you want to try AS? Either way is cool with me.

You're killing me! LOL - So you're playing exhibition games! Damn you Hero... We can't change sliders based on that. We are missing all the factors that go into playing baseball in a season environoment. Namely fatigue, confidence, and hot and cold streaks! Why don't you start a franchise with a scrub pitching staff first... If you mess that franchise up who cares! That's why I started with the Royals! LOL

We are missing all the factors that go into playing baseball in a season environoment. Namely fatigue, confidence, and hot and cold streaks! Why don't you start a franchise with a scrub pitching staff first... If you mess that franchise up who cares! That's why I started with the Royals! LOL

I personally am going to have to raise consistency. Otherwise, I'll break my controller.

If that doesn't work, I'm strongly going to advise a difficulty level drop.

I actually replayed the same franchise game, but I get your point.

You know, it's funny Geronimo. Iliveforthis and I are dying over here, and you're the only one of us without a dualshock controller. You're doing this blindly! LOL!

7 games, and I have yet to reach 60%. You think one click to consistency is a bad idea? It may be, but...I'm just sayin'.

Have you tried our settings with a good pitcher yet? You should man. For all of us to be on the same page, you should at least consider testing with PHI and KC, or something like that. I'd, personally, feel better about the testing this way.

What do you think Iliveforthis? Should we stand pat? Bump consistency? Drop a level?

I vote for consistency 7. But, we should all agree if we're actually going to do this.

Hero I used your advice and have been using less effort (more taps) and my accuracy has gone up.

Either way, I'm down to do whichever. My strike % needs to drop and I don't want it to drop because I have to aim outside the strike zone.

Iliveforthis, by all means, play a game or two on Default AS. It's too bad both of you haven't tried this out in the past. It would make our decision much easier.

I'll do it up tonight and give you some feedback. I'm also working on some Analog hitting sliders so my time has been used up with some tests!
Thinking about it now, I don't understand why my Strike % is so high! Its beyond believeable.

SCEA wasn't kidding when it said they made AS easier and HOF harder this year. It's keeping me from finding a realistic balance.

I think my ability is somewhere in between.

Honestly, as much as I test and such, I'm very opposed to drastically adjusting sliders. They all seem to impact multiple facets of gameplay. I wouldn't actually even allow myself to go above 7 with consistency anyway.

So all in all, it's either HOF with a raised consistency, or AS with a default or (most likely) dropped consistency.

I'm leaning towards HOF, mainly because of the CPU's ability to hit singles. But again, my raised consistency on AS may have been the cause.
