I can hit the ball down the lines and I should have the speed to stretch the hits into doubles, but the fielder always seems to somehow get there to cut it off before it gets to the wall. Every single time. That's why I'm thinking it might be positional.

Me not.. This sliders make game really difficult to win, but at same time realistic to.
I begin again franchise due to osfm roster release, My indians are 1-7 but i played very beautiful game with many rbi and base completed.. Now i really manage the control of the game than before and i really appreciate this slider.
The only difference is timing control for hitting and finally i reach to read pitchers throws, maybe with timing is a bit harder to play with this sliders CUZ are set to play with zone, but for me, i know, it would be difficult play with zone.

I had the cpu hit a line drive into mid right field, and I gunned him out at first still. Should I lower fielder speed a click? Also it seems like I get into a lot of 7-9 pitch at bats with the cpu. It could be my pitching but it seems like they foul everything off in the zone, and dont chase things even on the corner, even the ones that the ump calls a ball that should be a strike.Comment

Well I had to raise steal ability back to default as I strongly feel like there is an issue with steals when using auto baserunning but since I did Ive had a much better experience and am still getting thrown out when I get a bad jump or get caught running at the wrong time.
EDIT- Im using these exact sliders with a few very small changes...
Pitch Speed- 2
Fielder Reaction- 4
Steal Ability- 5
Hitting Difficulty- Veteran
Other then that everything else is exactly the same. Pitch speed has helped and Im not sure if I want to raise it, faced Strasburg last game and he only struck me out twice but I was late on pitches constantly so even though I rank 1st in strikeouts (95 in 20 games) Im not walking for **** anymore either (35 in 20 games) so it evens out to some degree I suppose. As for things like batting average I rank 28th (.231) so having pitch speed isnt leading to big offensive production which leaves me in this weird grey area where I dont want to raise it since Im not exactly raking the ball but should probably be striking out a bit more as well. Anyways, Im 3rd worst in SB % and am 9-11 sitting in the cellar in the NL West so Ive got a battle on my hands.Last edited by The Chef; 04-04-2012, 06:32 PM.Comment

I have to say it has been like night n day going from exhibition games to Franchise.
I'm 6 games in and all but 1 I've had multi-homer games with someone.
Uggla, Chipper, Heyward, McCann, Freeman all with 2 homerun games so far.
If this keeps up I'm going to have to knock down the sliders a bit lol.Comment
