    Thanks!
The VAULT is in the game menu - it's an online repository where you can upload/download sliders and rosters.

They are the most downloaded set in the vault.....sorty by DOWNLOADS and you will see them.

Around Opening Day the OSFM FULL MINORS rosters will be uploaded....you have to wait for these to start your franchise....they will have every minor leaguer fror every team and the quality of that set is AMAZING

Re: TNK - 2012 Realism Sliders Thread

Started a (test) franchise with these sliders after i played at least 40+ exhibition games and got comfortable with them. I was wondering if anyone else that started a chise with this set has noticed quite a bit of first pitch strikes right down the middle for the first 4 innings or so? I played the BLUE JAYS as the Indians on the opening series of franchise and usually take the first pitch on every at-bat, but the cpu keeps throwing first pitch strikes.

All three games of the series were like this, except around the 6th inning on, where the first pitch of the at-bat was like normal (inconsistent balls or painted strikes-not down the pipe). Could just be a franchise thing or a weird first series, but its crazy how all 3 games played this way. Any suggestions?
TNK's set is loaded up on my chise and I'm using Allstar difficulty as default everygame.

With TNK's CPU pitch sliders at 4/4/3, you shouldn't get an abnormally high number of first pitch strikes.

But as in real baseball, the CPU AI will tend to keep pounding the zone early and often if you are taking them for strikes.

TNK... Thoughts on Fenway's suggestion about lowering CPU Pitcher Consistency down to 3?

I personally don't see a need for it as of now......you can feel free to test it out for a couple games and let me know how it goes if you want

Idk what the hell I'm doing wrong but I can't match up to the hitting cam you have... I followed every single instruction you posted to a T... But when I finished my players are zoomed in much more then yours are!! Does size of TV matter or TV ratio (Mine is at 4:3 I believe) matter at all? I don't get it!!

A really easy cam to set up is to go into custom settings, choose the catcher-wide, and simply move it up a bit, but keep it centered. Take one of your best hitters, and move up the camera until the top edge aligns with the top of the backdrop wall (in BP).

I personally dont like the offset angle. Dead-center is where its at. just raise up a little higher so you can judge low pitches better.

And yeah, consistency at 3 helps you judge even easier

Yea i agree with what u said but, in the exhibition games i played earlier, the first pitch strikes were all over the zone, where as the first pitch strikes in franchise are right down the middle everytime. So now i swing because i know it will be a perfectly hittable pitch(usually a fastball) every first pitch, if i dont swing I'm down in the count every at bat til around the sixth inning. I 'm gonna delete the file and restart a new franchise, and see if things go back to normal.

I checked the sliders before the game and during the game and it says 4/4/3 for cpu pitching sliders.

                      EXHIBITION GAME

BOSTON RED SOX (ME) @ KANSAS CITY ROYALS (CPU)

PITCHING MATCHUP - Jon Lester vs. Jonathan Sanchez

This was a very good game. The Red Sox were leading 2-1 in the 6th when Jeff Francoeur hit an opposite field solo HR to tie it up 2-2. Boston got to the Kansas City bullpen in the 8th for 2 runs after Pedroia and Gonzalez each singled to leadoff the inning, Youkilis delivered a double down the LF line to score Pedroia and Ortiz hit a sac fly to put Boston on top 4-2. Alfredo Aceves remained in to pitch the bottom of the 8th inning but walked Francoeur and Moustakas to start the inning and Boston would bring in Mark Melancon to try to pitch out of the jam. Salvador Perez would sac bunt the runners over to 2nd & 3rd with 1 out. Melancon would get Lorenzo Cain to ground out to SS for the 2nd out but Francoeur would come in to score to make it 4-3 with 2 outs for Alcides Escobar. Melancon did a great job as he got Escobar to ground out to Aviles at SS to get out of the inning and send the game to the 9th inning with the Sox leading 4-3. Boston would bring in their closer Andrew Bailey for the bottom of the 9th and he would have his work cut out for him as the Royals would have the top of the order coming up to bat. Alex Gordon led the inning off with a single and he was sac bunted over to 2nd by Johnny Giovatella to bring up Hosmer with the tying run on 2nd and 1 out. Bailey got Hosmer to fly out to CF for the 2nd out to bring up Billy Butler who got behind in the count and was down to his last strike when Bailey hung a slider and Butler crushed it to CF and the ball just cleared the wall and the glove of Jacoby Ellsbury for a game winning 2-run walkoff HR to give the Royals the 5-4 victory....WHAT A GAME!!

This game further proves to me that right now I do not want to make any adjustments to these sliders. The game had walks, strikeouts, extra base hits, home runs, errors, sac bunts, a guy thrown out at the plate....no reason to tweak at the moment.

Re: TNK - 2012 Realism Sliders Thread

First of all, thanks for your work guys! These are really good sliders, but I have some problem with them:

My first impression was, that this slider set makes the game easier. I play on AllStar, and with default sliders the pitchers throw a lot of strikes, and paint the corners. First pitch strikes are sky high, so this is clearly a problem. If I'm not mistaken, the following slider takes care of this:

                        CPU Strike Frequency - 3

With this the pitchers throw more balls, but these balls are more recognisable, not borderline balls. At first this might be good, because it makes the game easier and more realistic, but maybe we should just try to be more disciplined and set CPU Strike Frequency at 4. The game is just 3 weeks old. I remember playing 11 with default sliders for 10 months on AllStar. First I was a .220 hitter, but after 10 months I became a .270 hitter with the same sliders and difficulty. Maybe we just should try harder. If you lower the difficulty by forcing even the best pitchers to throw more balls by setting this slider to 3, you are not ancouraged to be more disciplined. You won't be better to judge borderline pitches.

What do you think about this theory?

                        Some more questions:

                        - Why did you set Solid Hits at 3? Isn't it a bit low?

                        - What does Foul Frequency at 3 do? More strikeouts? I'm getting too many anyway, but it's my fault...

                        Thanks in advance!

                          - What does Foul Frequency at 3 do? More strikeouts? I'm getting too many anyway, but it's my fault...

                          Thanks in advance!
With CPU Strike Frequency at 4 the CPU pounds the strike zone too much.....with it at 3 we are getting Strike % between (60-68%) which I think is a good number. With Strike Frequency at 4 nobody was ever drawing more than 2 walks off a pitcher.

Foul Frequency at 4 or 5 was producing marathon at bats with a ton of foul balls which caused pitch counts to get too high too soon. Lowering it increases balls down the line that just stay fair and it also increases swing and misses on balls way off the plate that batters were just getting a piece of.

Some sliders need to be adjusted not to make the game easier.....but to get certain nuances tuned to where we need them to be to produce a realistic game.

Play 5 to 10 games with the sliders listed in Post #1 of the thread and then report back with your findings and you can always make an adjustment to them for your personal game. But I don't modify the slider set based on a random suggestion by a poster who doesn't give feedback with definitive results from games played using the sliders and data tp support their suggestion.

I am loving these sliders and camera angle TNK; great work!

TNK... I agree with nothing needs to be changed!! These sliders are awesome and play a very good game of baseball!!

Just one thing I'm still struggling with is dominating the CPU offense! I see you don't have that problem in the games you play however... I don't know what I'm doing wrong... I have every pitching slider set to what you have and I pitch on All-Star using Meter.
