Re: TNK - 2012 Realism Sliders Thread

Im only 6 games in so not a great reflection.

    im the O's.

Im first at the moment with BA at .318 (Pirates 2nd)

First with runs too at 42 but I have had that crazy 20 run game I mentioned a few posts ago.

Im 6th in BB with 20.

As I say Its only 6 games and I expect these will fall greatly.

I will start. I am batting a horrendous.220, worst in the league and my runs scored is around 24th or so.
I used this set for the first 30 games of my season before moving on to another set.
After30 games my team BA was .189 and my team ERA was 2.31. I was 13-17 with the CHW.

        I had 19 hits to 10.

Twins had 3 HR's to my 6. One of which was a grand slam.

I scored 10 runs in the 8th and had a bat around.

Im hoping it was just coincidence changing the camera. I have the Yanks next up so will see what happens.

Before the change I had 17 hits over two games both of which were losses using the same teams
Are you using the sliders exactly as they are in post #1?

It needs to be at 3 in order to get those slow rollers, choppers, bloops, flares

My stats from today's Mets (me)- Tigers spring training game

              Niese vs. Verlander

              NY 3 10 0
              DET 4 10 0

1st Inning- Davis line drive brings in Hairston (NY 1-0); Duda 2R Home Run (NY 3-0).

2nd Inning- Fielder is brought home on a double by Young (NY 3-1). Torres (NY) injured on throw to cut off. Mike Baxter in to RF. Peralta singles in Young. (NY 3-2).

3rd Inning- David Wright thrown out at 2nd trying to advance on a shot off the LF wall. Sac fly by Fielder. (Tied 3-3).

7th Inning: Duda single. Verlander out, Pauley in (6IP, 7 Hits, 3ER, 1k)
Niese out; Acosta in (Niese- 6IP, 6H, 3ER, 3K). Boesch singles in Jackson (DET 4-3).

8th Inning- Benoit in to pitch for DET. Jon Rauch in for NYM.

9th Inning- Valverde comes in for the save. DET wins 4-3.

** still have not had a game with these sliders where a team gets single digit hits for the game (19 games)*

** Wish there was a different slider for outfield and infield arm strength. 3 is fine for the outfielders but the infielders it makes too many plays close that should be routine due to the throw speed. Also 3 times in this game the LF threw out my guy at 2nd on what should have been routine doubles. the ball came off the wall slowly,. he was slow to get there and yet a bullet to second. **

only things that felt "cheap" as people have said happens in MLB 12:

              - in the 7th. a routine chopper to wright and he dives for it for no reason. next hitter singles in the go ahead run. dont know why they had him dive for it.

              - in the 8th a hit to LF. Bay stood there and didnt react until the ball dropped. it was a routine pop up but because he didnt run or move they got on first.

What happens with solid hits at 4?

I might be moving down pitch speed to 3 to see if that helps me get more doubles/square up pitches better because the games I've been playing I've been hitting nothing but HR's & singles with very few doubles in those games (Maybe 1 or 2 doubles a game)... Also my reaction time can be a little slow at times.

                  Yes exactly as they are.

It might of just been one of those games plus it was against the Twins.

My game against the yanks was better. They won 8-3 with 11 hits to 6.

                  I had 3 walks to their 5

Just completed a sweep of the Pirates in my test franchise. Won the rain soaked game 6-4. The Pirates made it interesting there in the 9th inning with two solo home runs, but Jonathan Papelbon was able to lock down his second save.

On another note, Chase Utley and Ryan Howard were pretty much non-existant in the series. Chase Utley went 0-12 with a strikeout and a walk, and Ryan Howard went 0-9 with a strikeout and 3 walks.

With the fielder speed being so fast in this game, I find it hard to believe that anyone is seeing bloopers fall in between the OF's and the IF's.
