Re: TNK - 2012 Realism Sliders Thread
I would suggest setting fielding errors and throwing errors to 4 if you are still in the minors and playing in RTTS. There are so many dumb errors. At least once per game there with be an error involving my outfielders botching ground balls that made it to the outfield. I can understand an error once in a while at an outfield position, but not one per game. If you're that bad you have no business playing even the minors.Last edited by Kevin82485; 04-18-2012, 05:59 PM.Green Bay Packers

Re: TNK - 2012 Realism Sliders Thread
lost the last 7 in a row using these sliders which is fine it happens, but it has been due to the cheap cpu comeback.
7 games in a row and in each game I was up in the 6th/7th and all of a sudden they go on their rampage until they lead by 2-3 runs. It ALWAYS starts with an error by an infielder on a routine ground ball. i have tried changing pitchers, walking guys to break up the onslaught, everything and it always plays out the same.
what slider is it that effects this cpu comeback? i dont mind losing in video games because its realistic, but this is ridiculous. i know nhl 12 the cpu difficulty adjustment slider causes the cpu to have cheap, late game comebacks you cant stop, but is there a specific slider in MLB 12 that effects this?
What affects CPU comeback is you not pitching well enough, not managing the game well enough, not making mound visits at the right time.....and certainly a little bad luck somewhere in there.
Don't take this post as me being a jerk.....there is no CPU comeback sode and no slider to reduce thisComment

Re: TNK - 2012 Realism Sliders Thread
Great sliders man, I've used them for the first 5 games of my franchise and have some pretty solid stats.
Zack Cozart .316/.350/.684 2 HR, 3 RBI
Jay Bruce .333/.400/.722 2 HR, 3 RBI
Ryan Ludwick .750/.778/1.375 1 HR, 4 RBI
Brandon Phillips .238/.273/.571 2 HR, 2 RBI
Joey Votto .294/.400/.588 1 HR, 2 RBI
Scott Rolen .267/.250/.333 2 RBI
Drew Stubbs .187/.278/.437 1 HR, 4 RBI
Chris Heisey .167/.231/.500 1 HR, 3 RBI
Ryan Hanigan .167/.167/.167 0 HR, 2 RBI
Devin Mesoraco .143/.143/.143 0 HR, 0 RBI
Wilson Valdez 1.000/1.000/1.000 0 HR, 0 RBI
Miguel Cairo .000/.500/.000 0 HR, 0 RBI
Todd Frazier 0-4, RBI
.264/.316/.516 as a team, 12 walks, 44 K's in 5 games.
I've hit 10 HR in 5 games, but the wind has been blowing out often and I'm at GABP, so it's probably nothing to be alarmed about. Great sliders, the only change I made was raising CPU timing one click, and dropping human control one because I was pitching too well.PSN: Maserati_Bryan17Comment

Re: TNK - 2012 Realism Sliders Thread
Well, let's not go crazy now! In thr first video he jumped around to various innings, those were not consecutive great hits. More realistic was his second video where it was an entire BP session. He does not hit them all well. His method is sound though.Comment

Re: TNK - 2012 Realism Sliders Thread
What else do you suggest? I have done mound visits pitcher changes, no pattern while pitching, and like I said always starts with an infield error and no matter what I do it ends after they go up by 2-3. Not being a jerk myself but what ideas do you have for me since I've tried all that you said before.Comment

If the other teams slugger is coming up - pitch around him, make someone else beat you
Not sure what else to tell you - it's not a slider issue.....you gotta be betterComment

TNK - RED SOX FRANCHISE
TEXAS RANGERS @ BOSTON RED SOX
GAME #11 of the season (Pitching Matchup - Colby Lewis vs. Jon Lester)
The Rangers and Red Sox begin a two game series at Fenway with Colby lewis facing Jon Lester on the mound. The Rangers got a run in the 1st inning when Adrian Beltre grounded a single into LF to score Andrus who was on 2nd base for an early 1-0 lead. The Red Sox threatened in the bottom of the 2nd but Lewis got Ellsbury to ground out with 2 men on to end the inning. Dustin Pedroia continued his torrid hitting of late in the bottom of the 3rd as he led off the inning by unloading on a slider from Lewis for a solo HR to tie the game 1-1. The Red Sox took the lead in the bottom of the 4th when Cody Ross led off with a solo HR into the monster seats in LF to put Boston ahead 2-1. Jon Lester was cruising until there were 2 outs in the top of the 5th when he left a cutter out over the plate to Craig Gentry who turned on it and hit a towering drive down the LF line that struck the foul pole for a solo HR to tie the game at 2-2. The game went to the 7th inning when Gentry came up again with 2 men on and he came through again with his 2nd HR of the game to give the Rangers a 5-2 lead and knock Lester out of the game. Robbie Ross pitched the bottom of the 7th for Texas and stranded Saltalamacchia at 3rd base as we moved to the 8th with the Rangers leading 5-2. Vicente Padilla pitched a strong 8th for the Sox to keep them within striking distance at 5-2. Mike Adams pitched a 1-2-3 bottom of the 8th for Texas to send the game to the 9th. Matt Albers pitched a 1-2-3 inning of his own and the Red Sox would need a miracle in the bottom of the 9th if they are gonna pull this one out. Texas stuck with Mike Adams on the mound for the bottom of the 9th and issued a walk to Ross to lead it off. Ryan Sweeney grounded into a fielders choice for the 1st out and then Saltalamacchia drew a walk to bring the tying run to the plate with 1 out. Bobby Valentine pinch hit Mike Aviles for Nick Punto and Aviles ended up striking out for the 2nd out to bring up Jacoby Ellsbury as the Red Sox were dwn to their final out. Ellsbury worked a full count and smoked a line drive towards the gap in right center but Josh Hamilton made a great running catch to end the game as the Rangers hold on for the 5-2 victory.
* Craig Gentry was the difference maker as he hit 2 HR and had 4 RBI to pace the Rangers offense
* Dustin Pedroia has a 9 game hitting streak

TNK - RED SOX FRANCHISE
TEXAS RANGERS @ BOSTON RED SOX
GAME #12 of the season (Pitching Matchup - Scott Feldman vs. Josh Beckett)
Derek Holland was scheduled to pitch for the Rangers but was scratched from his start and the Rangers gave the ball to Scott Feldman as the Rangers and Red Sox wrap up this short 2 game series at Fenway. The Red Sox stranded two runners in the bottom of the 1st and the game was scoreless after 1 inning. Dustin Pedroia robbed Mitch Moreland of an RBI single for the final out of the 2nd inning as he made a diving play in the hole and his throw just beat Moreland to the bag at 1st to keep the game scoreless. Josh Beckett thought he had Josh Hamilton looking at a called 3rd strike to end the top of the 3rd but the homeplate umpire called it a ball and Hamilton deposited the next pitch into the CF bleachers for a solo HR to give Texas a 1-0 lead. Boston tied the game up in the bottom of the 3rd as Adrian Gonzalez launched a solo HR to straight away CF to tie the game at 1-1. The Rangers got to Beckett for 3 runs in the top of the 5th as the Rangers used a combination of hits, a walk and some pinching of the strike zone by the umpire to take a 4-1 lead. Boston squandered a leadoff double by Shoppach in the bottom of the 5th and the Rangers had a 4-1 lead heading into the 6th inning. The score remained 4-1 as the game entered the 7th inning. Beckett finished his night off by pitching a 1-2-3 top of the 7th. Junichi Tazawa who was just recalled from AAA Pawtucket pitched a 1-2-3 top of the 8th in his 1st appearance of the season. The Rangers turned to their closer Joe Nathan for the bottom of the 9th and he picked up the save as Elvis Andrus robbed Mike Aviles of an RBI single for the final out as he dove to snare a line drive that was headed to CF and would have brought the tying run to the plate.
* The umpires in this game were f****ng ridiculous!! They squeezed Beckett all over the zone while Feldman was getting calls off the plate while it seemed like every check swing for the Rangers was ruled no swing and every check swing for Boston was ruled a strike.
* The Red Sox sent down RP Michael Bowden to AAA Pawtucket before the game and called up RP Junichi Tazawa to take his place in the bullpen
* The Red Sox have now lost 3 straight and have dropped to 5-7 on the season. The Yankees come to town next for a 3 game series.

Re: TNK - 2012 Realism Sliders Thread
Sup bro... So I just got done with my first two franny games with my Yankees. I dont know what happens when I take the lead, but for some odd reason its as if the CPU is programmed to make a come back. This has happened to me in about 8 out of 10 games played so far. The Rays have 8 HR's in 2 games vs. me. I play ball in real life so I dont just go in a try to blow everyone away. I play tactically, but I dont know whats going on. I mean I take a lead and the next inning the CPU jacks **** all over the place. I am not saying anything about your sliders as they are a great set. I just want to know if anyone else is having these type of epic CPU comebacks where it seems like their stats get boosted from one inning to another.Totally represents my mood after getting hammered!!
