Re: TNK - 2012 Realism Sliders Thread

I have found pulse pitching to be frustrating in a good way. No longer can you paint a corner every pitch and also if you make a mistake the CPU will more times then not make you pay for it.

Also have had some instances where the pitcher has missed badly from the intended target and it has lead to a strikeout or an out which was pretty cool to see.

I guess the phrase "effectively wild" comes into play with pulse pitching somewhat.

Anyone else had to turn down CPU control a little bit? Seemed like I was getting way too many strikes at default, especially first pitch strikes.

I'm still trying to knock the dust off though so maybe I'm chasing a little too much.

I have to agree on the lowering of fielder speed, due to the fact that Coco Crisp ran down a ball that should have been destined for the gap in deep right center but he ran it down and the defense was playing straight up.

Don't get me wrong it was a thing of beauty to watch in real time as it were but after it was over i thought, hmmm... would he have really been able to get to that.. is Coco in deed THAT fast???

Re: TNK - 2012 Realism Sliders Thread

My only complaint is back from last year, and it's even worse this time around. The CPU paints the corners way too good. The rare instances I go ahead 2-0, they quickly come right back with two straight on the black pitches. If i strike out consecutively, their confidence peaks so quickly and then it's all downhill from there.

I'll be messing with CPU strike frequency and consistency for the most part, just like previous years.

Not sure guys. I use Authentic's sliders, and the CPU is still pulling good hits ALOT with quite a few HR's on me. I'm using Yu Darvish, and mediocre hitters are lighting me up for singles, doubles, and HR's. Ive gotten very used to pulse pitching and can get the pulse all the way down to the smallest circle now, and hitters are lighting me up.

It still needs tweaking I think.

I've used the Pulse and it's growing on me.

These slideres will probably be developed using Zone Hitting, Meter Pitching and Assisted Fielding

                  Good! Exactly my style.

I agree with the previous posters about pitch speed. I tuned mine down a tick already. Might go down one more.

I also tuned "wind" down at least two clicks.

I'm liking pulse, I jhet hope it doesn't get too easy like every other pitching mode.

I've always liked timing as it takes into accoun hitters vision .

Damn was really hoping you were going to build around timing only hitting.

Due to the very minimal adjustments at this time - I'm not going to upload them to the vault.

I will wait til we have an official release before uploading to the slider vault

Should only take a couple minutes for you guys to manually enter these settings for now.

Game was very offensive based early on and my Cub were down 3-0 very quickly. A great rally in the second helped me get the bases loaded, earned a run via bases loaded wlak, and then Castro hit the grand slam. I did throw out Yadier Molina from right field to first, so may want to review the fielder or runner speed again. Game was very fun, had some jams late, but was able to hold on for the victory.
