      Honestly, as ugly as that looks, I don't see anything there that needs urgent intervention.

      Your hits allowed are definitely high. You walks are suprisingly not as bad as I was expecting.

      What sliders are you using and what teams are coming up on your schedule? Would you be willing to play another 2-3 series before making any major changes and such?

      Those stats tell me that the CPU has capitalized on practically every scoring opportunity they've had. Does this sound accurate?

        H&V and gang, I started my Franchise, but I will most likely be starting over once I man this new roster project using Scotts roster. I feel it just has a better feel right now for me. I am going to be working on a draft project of 35-40 players as well.

        My first couple games using the newest settings has been OK. Got CG SO by Josh Johnson and whiffed 7 times. Walked 5 and K'd 7 with Romero and won 7-2 while Rasmus went 3-5 with a HR and 4 Bi and missed the cycle by a 2B. I K'd 10x and K'd them 12x.

          What do you mean, "newest settings?" What sliders are those stats from and how many games have you played with them?

            I'm using the Reds so I've played the Marlins, Cards, and two against the Nats. I'll play another series and see what happens. The only silders I've messed with are bumping human control/consistency up 1, and lowering CPU strike frequency 1 tick.

              I'm just getting murdered right now. I have 3 QS in about 20 games, I have been burning through my bullpen, and from the 7th inning on, I have given up almost 20+ runs. I moved consistency +1 up to 5, but am thinking I may leave it @4 and move CPU contact -1 to make it 4. I cannot hold onto a lead for anything. I scored 6 runs to go up 2 into the 9th. I then proceed to give up 8 runs in the 9th, and lose 14-8. It seems to happen just about every game. Help is needed hahaha I know the METS pitchers are rated terribly (29th in my franchise) but this is a bit out of control...

                What do you mean you moved consistency "up to 5?"

                Are you playing with your pitching sliders below Default???

                I think I know where the problem is! LOL! Have you tried Classic on Default AS yet? If not, why???

                  I used the settings that you requested I use in tweaking my sliders. I am also pitching with the ball marker off as well. I am getting better K rates and enjoying the results. I am however, a bit at ends with the errors in the OF on easily negotiated fly balls.

                    I was rolling with the All-Star set ILive & Authentic made. Well, I guess I'll go with accuracy and consistency @5 then? Looks like I found the root of the problem haha

                      I was just having this conversation the other day.

                      When the Fielder Run Speed slider is reduced - and especially wen done in tandem with the Reaction Speed slider - OF's get forced into their 'decelerate in order to catch ball' animation more frequently.

                      Depending on how low these sliders are reduced, and where the power and solid hits sliders are, can cause an inordinate amount of these flyballs and line drives to actually end up being missed by the OF'er.

                      Not good.

                      This is a slider issue. Not a game issue. If you want this animation to stop, you have to increase these sliders. I guess you have to decide how much reducing them is and was worth to you.

                        If you increase Control, I'd recommend increasing Contact the same amount to compensate...for now.

                          I'll just leave accuracy @3, since they have no problem getting the bat on the ball.

                            Just to reiterate:

                            I respect all of the slider makers on OS, and consider most of them to be Internet friends.

                            When I recommend people make changes, it's because of the issues they are encountering. Not the sliders they are using.

                              I hear ya. I know I'm close to finding the balance I'm looking for. I can hit fine, I just can't seem to put CPU hitters away. There's always one pitch that gets over the heart of the plate, they mash it, and take the lead haha I'm hoping just bumping consistency up one to default will resolve it. I added the steal ability @4 and frequency @8, and love that they run now. Giving the change a shot with Pelfrey who is one of the main culprits right now...

                                Are you talking about the "quicksand" and/or "molasses pit" thing from previous years, where the fielder gets locked into a catching animation even though he isn't where the ball is?

                                I actually rarely encounter that issue this year, and I have both reaction and run speed at 0 most of the time. The only times I've had the problem is when I try to be all super realistic, and advance towards the catch circle running at a consistent pace , instead of running full speed and just stopping in the circle and waiting, like I'm "supposed to."

                                It's definitely avoidable.
