      Authentic and iLive,

Let me start by saying that I am really enjoying your sliders. I played college and minor league baseball and for the past 5 years have owned a baseball training facility. When I play the show realism is the most important aspect for me and I can truly say that you guys have created two great sets of sliders this season. So thank you.

I was wondering what set both of you are currently using? (hof or all star) and if you have made any changes to the set you use from the first page.

      Thank you again

I am still using the All Star set, and no changes have been made! They run beautifully and I get the best variety I've seen in a long time.

Pitch speed at 10? Really? How can you judge if the ball is going to be a ball and or strike? I have mine at 3 right now, and I'm late.

Yeah me too. Except I've bumped pitching up to HOF bc I look at the analog meter while pitching. And ive change base runner speed and reaction both to 0.

Chappy, its pure instinct. You have one look at it and then its in the mitt. Just like real life.

Yes, the AS set is very well put together.

Re: ILiveForThis and authentic's MLB Simulation Slider Project 2012

                Hey guys,

I've used the all star set for my first 10 games of my blue jays franchise. I have kept the settings the exact same as the first page however I use zone for hitting and classic for pitching. I am currently 9-1.

I find hitting to be a real challenge which I want and enjoy. I typically average 6-8 hits a game with 3 runs a game.

As for the pitching side of things. The computer typically gets about 5-8 hits a game however, the most runs I have allowed in a game is 2 and in 9 of the 10 games I have only allowed one run or less. What can I do to make the hitting for the computer better or my pitching more difficult. Should I try Analog pitching or is it changing my pitching sliders or the CPU hitting sliders.

                Thank you for your help

I have a question about analog batting, does it matter if i hit the power button or contact button before i swing. Because when i hit square for power before the pitch gets started the yellow circle changes a little, I was just wondering if it made a difference.

I recommend you keep playing. Don't try to punish yourself for playing well. IF you keep on dominating opposing hitters after 15-20 games, then it's time to make a change. What style of pitching are you using?

Edit: I just saw classic. Play 5-10 more, and let us know how it goes. If you don't see a change, we can give our recommendations.

                      Authentic,

I appreciate your words and will continue with the all star settings as is for now. I will update when I get my next 10 games in.

Again thank you to yourself and iLive for the great work on the sliders this season. They make this already great game that much more complete.

I am messing around with Legend. I know Live is too. So far, it's been awesome. I'll post some stats after about 5 games of my franchise.

I am loving default Legend. Timing hitting, Pulse pitching, and Analog fielding.

So we have an All Star set, a Hall of Fame set, and a Legend set. We have a meter pitching, classic pitching, pulse pitching, and analog pitching set. They are all timing, but Live has used zone and zone analog I know. All of our sets are analog fielding because it's the most realistic.

I was a classic pitching guy until last year where I used analog. Loved the analog hitting last year, but was always hitting to opposite field. Zone before that, but never used timing until this year. I kinda dig it since I could never catch up to the high fastball with zone. Plus most of the time I would hit X before I moved the left stick. I, along with most, was sketchy on playing with 10 pitch speed, but it really does become second nature. Enough about me...Looking foward to these Legend sliders.
