Quick question, as I haven't seen this answered or mentioned, but could I use these sliders with meter pitching instead of classic? I do respect classic pitching, but I have a little more fun with meter. Could I use just the hitting sliders if the pitching sliders don't correlate to meter?

Haven't read through the whole thread so if this has been answered I apologize. But I am wondering why All star over HoF. What do you feel is different? Or is it just preference & skill?

Also, I use classic pitching but really enjoy Pure Analog hitting & have yet to try auto fielding but don't know if I want to. I love the idea of making the diving play or robbing a home run. Do you use auto fielding mainly for animations & the fact that you just really love the idea of the game being purely ratings based for the most part?

      Thank you

I have no idea. I never played or tested these with metered pitching.

          You answered the first question.

As far as Auto Fielding. I feel it is so animation driven (therefore imo a clunky interface although it has improved a lot since 2009) that I rather let the rating dictate the skill and watch the beautiful animations to their fullest potential but still keep manual throwing to feel in the game. It is a lot of fun IMO watching the players lay out, dive, rob HR's etc based on ratings. The game looks gorgeous playing this way.

I am a ball player (still play every weekend as well as coach) so I love fielding...but have always felt it was too clunky on The Show compared with say MVP 2005 or even 2K11 (the only MLB 2K game I ever have played/owned).

It is purely a preference and statistical/aesthetic approach to the game.

Okay thank you. I actually just played a few games on auto fielding and it did look pretty nice. So I'll commit to it and if I don't like it I can always just go back to fielding myself. I'm going to continue to use the Pure Analog swinging though.

Lots of good reviews so hopefully I'll enjoy them just as much as you are. I'll start with All Star & move up if I feel it is too easy. If I move up to HoF on hitting do you think I would need to change any of the sliders or should it flow?

Marino may be working on an optional HOF set. So he may want to chime in on HOF....I have not ventured or felt the need to venture to HOF.

As far as Auto Fielding.....use manual throwing as it does add a little spice and keeps you involved.

Yeah I like the throwing, if I were to turn fielder reaction speed up one would you advise turning down fielder speed one to keep the balance?

No I would leave fielder speed as is.

Watching a lot of baseball today it being opening day and me having mlb.tv seeing slow infield singles slow roller to second and third base ending in close plays at first and was wondering do you see those with these sliders i seen at least a good dozen today over about 8 to 10 games *(use these sliders playing postseason mode and have been very good just don't recall if i seen these type of plays that often i have played about 20 games in all)

Sliders do not control the ball physics. But I have seem slow rollers and plenty of bang bang plays.

The Show 13 is the GOAT sports game. No doubt.

Another question, haven't tested the wind slider but what is your reasoning for having it at 4? And does having a higher wind slider greatly affect batting?

I believe that strike frequency should be raised since the patched addressed the previous issue. I have it set at 3 and I'm seeing very good results. CPU pitcher control and consistency is at 4 .

Just finished another postseason game. O's vs Yankees. Was up 1-0 until the 8th inning when I swapped out Gonzalez for Troy Patton who screwed me over. Gave up 5 runs that inning. I swapped him out for my set up pitcher Strop. Down 5-0, we get a hr single as the lead off, then proceed to get 3 more runs somehow and got the game tied back up heading into the 9th. I forgot to warm up my closer, so I gave the nod to Strop to keep going, but he was too tired and his play suffered. A few errors later, bases are loaded, and the Yankees win it. Down 0-2 in the series now, I'll probably get another match in later after I watch the real life O's.

These sliders are so awesome, struggled finding some good sliders all month but after using yours with a few personal tweaks, I am in love. Thanks a lot for this set mate.

What set r u using regular or hybri?
Armor would say the hybrid set is easier to hit with?
Just played two games with them and scored 8 and 10 runs.
