Well, I pulled out MLB again and am having a great time playing it again. Anyhow, on topic, Pared, just had a great game going on with your sliders, Yanks 5(me) and Orioles 5, but then it froze So noe I have to go back a game and play the Red Sox, so I'll post the results!

          Reds 1 R 10 H 0 E
          Brewer 0 R 3 H 0 E

My only run came on a Joe Randa homerun (4) to leftfield. Complete game shutout for Ramon Ortiz.

After the month of April, my record is 10-13. I have had to replay 2 or 3 games because of freezing.

              Another game:

              Reds 5 R 14 H 0 E
              Brewers 1 R 5 H 0 E

              Harang 9.0 IP 5 H 1 ER 3 K

I turned the pitch speed down to 0 just to see how I would like it. I didn't hit any homeruns, but Overbay hit 1 for Milwaukee. I'm 11-13.

All sliders are from the bar at 0.

Things have really changed here... you will see a larger variety of hits, and homeruns will NOT be affected...

Players don't have superarms as much as they did, although they can still throw a bit too strong... but the arm strength slider can't be any lower, as drag bunts will be TOO effective with fast runners and infielders won't have the ability to dive, get up, and barely get the runner at first out....

The only really disappointing thing about the sliders is you can't save them!

Anyway, makes the game even better! Try them out, and feedback is always appreciated.
Wrong thread, sorry Pared, though this was an updated MVP 2005 version..sorry.

                      Pared,
Used your contact & power sliders in Veteran mode yesterday and saw a definite change for the better. Most of my games previously had been without the computer really putting up a fight and no homers from either me or him (unless I simmed). With the contact at 5 and power @ 13 I played 2 games, lost both but hit 3 HR's between the 2 games and the computer actually hit one and Hidalgo knocked in 3 with a double off the wall in the 9th to beat me the first game and Erstad hit a 2 run HR to beat me in the second game
Im glad the computer finally scored some runs to make it competitive, and I finally hit some homers- sliders are great !

also would you suggest a power/contac for veteran(right now i am using 0/8 but i cant hit insed picht HR(usuasy i get 1 or 2 HR a game with diferent player(evan Youkilis got a long ball!!and stranglyy i am struglin with Ortiz)))??as 5/13 is way to easy using veteran.but i dont really like allstar, as i rather the zone guess system
