I'm just glad this roster is so thorough that it will include a player that just got signed today. I think it speaks volumes on the degree of depth, research and time spent trying to be as thorough as possible when you can include such a player that I'm sure is not easy to "scout". To you guys, I give, the highest of props haha

      Hey guys,

I just wanted to get your opinion on how much of the twins struggles have stemmed from lack of pitching. For instance, so far they've dropped 30 runs on the Tigers in just 2 games, and they are getting great contribution from young guys like Eduardo Escobar (.280 with 33 doubles) Danny Santana (batting well over .300 with power and incredible speed) and Kennys Vargas (over .300, power from both sides and to both fields, though only a small sample size.)

Now I don't want to get ahead of myself, but the twins are getting production from most of their hitters, Plouffe with 34 doubles, Mauer's gotten the average back above .280, Suzuki has been around .300 all year and Dozier is having a career year with power and stolen bases. Hell, even Jordan Schaffer has come in and done a very good job compared to anything he's done in Atl. I was just wondering if the hitting of this club would be represented in the roster, as I think it is a very underrated part when looked at by the rest of the league.

Obviously, on the other side of the coin, the twins have been pretty putrid regarding starting pitching not named Phil Hughes, and somewhat Kyle Gibson. Thanks boys, can't wait for these rosters.

I would completely agree; couldn't have said it better myself.

The Twins do have horrible pitching, which has been the case for several years now. According to a few different metrics, the Twins are somewhere around the middle of the pack in offensive production. You can expect some of the guys you have mentioned, like Dozier and especially Santana to receive ratings love in the new rosters. That being said, the Twins still will not have a 'star' player on offense, nor will they have a very deep offense. Mauer and Suzuki are solid, Dozier has been good, Santana has been a shock, it's too early to tell with Vargas, but there's really nothing other than that small group of players worth noting and most of them won't see giant increases (other than Santana).

Dang right this is a superior quality roster set. When it drops, it just might melt some faces out there because it is hot fire. There will be near 800 re-rates from the latest version and that is just one of several major upgrades in this upcoming roster.

Is 'days' still plural at this point? I have to check my magic 8-ball and consult with my colleagues...It's getting close.

By the way, as we advance closer to roster-drop day, which is soon, I want to thank the folks following our progress for being pretty disciplined and not bombarding us with ETA questions. I think OS as a whole would be well served to take your behavior as a template for other projects like this. Sure there have been a few dreaded 'ETA' questions, but for the most part, we really haven't had to beat you guys away with a stick, which can be unfortunately common and necessary at times. Appreciate you guys and your patience. Your reward is coming very soon.

You guys really set a tone of fair mindedness and patience in this forum that really attracts those kinds of people. Your guarded optimism creates a incredible sense of anticipation that is absolutely gut wrenching and at the same time, we are all level headed enough to not be the kid in the backseat yelling "are we there yet?" every 5 minutes. The kudos belong to you for creating this almost unparalleled atmosphere of maturity. You run a first rate thread.
