After all the build up, I was really disappointed to find that lester and Arrieta pitches were wrong when the Sony roster has them correct. I'm not sure who did the cubs rerates, but I wonder how many games they actually watched.

Arrieta didnt have his sinker in the SCEA rosters. His slider/cutter could be labeled either pitch. Doesnt really matter.
Lester seems to be correct as well.Comment

Lester does not have a cutter in these rosters, his second most frequent pitch.Comment

Re: 2015 OSFM REVISION ROSTER v1 - Released
I went through quickly and lowered potential by -5 on all SP only for guys 25 or younger. Running test sim now with that. Will be lowering all drafted SP only this time and by -10 instead of-15.
I won't get to that 2020 year to post results until maybe late tonight or sometime tmrrw.
The Dodgers signed Cueto to replace him with Urias starting in AA with a 78 overall.
This will go fast. Will be saving a file after each season to have stats readily available. Then I'll post some stuff by tmrrw.Last edited by DarthRambo; 06-04-2015, 12:05 AM.Comment

Okay so I'm ready to start simming. Already seeing crazy but kind of fun stuff with ignore budgets on. Matt Harvey is now with the Red Sox and Clayton Kershaw...oh yes, only teamed uo with King Felix in Seattle. Oh my....lol.

One thing with budgets off you're gonna want to turn cpu trades off. Saw Bryce Harper traded from Puig straight up and other weird ones.
The FA frenzy with no budget is enough crazy movement for me lolComment

Just put on force trades, and if you do not like a trade, just put it back to how it was.Comment

Quick update on the backdating to Opening Day: the project is coming along nicely. Haven't hit a snag so far and the rosters looks really good. Still no ETA though but I'm working hard and the rosters are a priority outside of work.Former modder of "Ultimate Rosters" for MVP Baseball 2005.

Totte, I'm not sure if you handled contracts or if it was someone else but how were contracts for minor leaguers handled? was there one standard applied for all of them or were better minor leaguers given higher contracts?PSN: lxl_Porta_lxl

Re: 2015 OSFM REVISION ROSTER v1 - Released
I did the contracts myself for this upcoming release. In general, you could say that everyone with a chance at the majors this year are listed at 510k. Quad A players are listed between 750k-1mil (haven't been able to find the tea life salaries for all those players in my research so I've streamlined them a bit to some sort of average).
On a side note, I've gone through every organization to make sure there aren't any MiLB players (ie roster fillers) that are listed with more than 1/1 deals. There's Neil Wagner and his two year deal with the Rays of course but other than that, it's really all 1/1 deals. Can't stand how some players are 1/3, 1/5, 1/7 or even 1/9 that I stumbled across. That's probably what happens when you set up the rosters with transactions, importing players and such as I've seen it in previous versions of the game as well. Either way, I don't think it belongsFormer modder of "Ultimate Rosters" for MVP Baseball 2005.

Re: 2015 OSFM REVISION ROSTER v1 - Released
v2 was identical with some very minor changes to v1.2.
Having real contracts I think is causing teams to not have money later on. In 2019 most teams are negative available funds. And some by a lot! Rays are -12.39mil.
In the free agent market sits Bryce Harper, Jose Fernandez, Cole Hammels, and Brandon McCarthy. Yu Darvish retired in 2018 as a 95ovr FA because of "poor free agent market".
I think I'll download v1.2 without real contracts instead. I'm not for certain that's why I see this but I'm assuming it's a big reason why.
I was afraid of that with the contracts. I wasn't a huge fan of real contracts myself but there was a big enough demand to create a roster with them.
Just played my second game with my Red Sox franchise and I hit 8 homeruns (3 with Big Papi and 2 with Hanley) and got 21 hits. I never came anything close to that in the 50+ games I played with the OSFM v1 rosters. I also gave up 5 runs and a bunch of hits (and also gave up around 7 runs in my first game). I am using TNK's sliders with some slight adjustments. Again, with OSFM v.1 rosters, hitting was a lot harder than it was in this one particular game, although I admit it is a very small sample and there are always random games where teams hit like that even in real life. I'll have to play some more games and see what happens. Just checking to see if anyone else has found hitting to be easier with this roster.
I have never had a game like that myself. You may have to up your skill level.
I actually like the way he has it because the guys your talking about hime leaving off are going to have no impact on the big league club for 3 maybe 4 years. So having those older minor leaguers gives you the option to bring up the player who would likely get the call for an injury.
What I plan on doing is using the draft to incorporate some of the higher ranked but real young prospects by editing over the scea created players to put in the real guys
This is what I do, I add in the prospects in place of draftees
I actually am not huge on filler players. Being a Jays fan my roster is littered with them and no real value to them to use for a trade. I am just not sold on prospects either. Same reason being a Jays fan. In the past when I used to create the Blue Jays top 30, I created and as a fan put my hopes on guys like, Kevin Ahrens, Deck Maguire, Russ Adams, Guiermo Quiroz, Kevin Cash, Brandon Magee, Gabe Gross and so on.
I just find progression wise the filler players are much more reasonable to have to fill injury holes plus, for years I was left scrambling to create when these guys got to the bigs
