This is how I used to approach my franchises, just set everyone to power, but after using a sliver of my brain I actually really like training a majority of my hitters on VIS / DISC / CL. Feels like they end up growing on the actual contact/power side of things organically, while the discipline training helps a ton

Re: The TrueSim Roster Project: MLB 24
Here's a cool tool to help the CPU generate more realistic, modern lineups. JWDixon made it.
https://forums.operationsports.com/f...optimizer.html
Here's the lineups it made for the Orioles in my franchise, using this roster:
Lineup vs RHP
Adley Rutschman
Cedric Mullins
Anthony Santander
Gunnar Henderson
Ryan Mountcastle
Jordan Westburg
Austin Hays
Ramon Urias
Ryan O'Hearn
Lineup vs LHP
Colton Cowser
Ryan Mountcastle
Kyle Stowers
Adley Rutschman
Austin Hays
Gunnar Henderson
Jordan Westburg
Jorge Mateo
Ryan O'HearnComment

Re: The TrueSim Roster Project: MLB 24
I just tested this:
If you're gonna do single player control, you can simulate all other games. Before you play your game, load simulation sliders, choose view today's games, and then simulate the others.
Like the other poster said, you'll see games in progresss while you play your game too, which is nice for immersion.
Also, for bullpen usage, you don't really need to do much. By default, every team (except the Dodgers) doesn't have a SP in the LRP spot, so reliever IP should be pretty good.
You'll see more CGs yes, but this is the tradeoff for a balanced overall stat output for hitters and pitchers. You'll get better strikeout totals from SPs too.
I used these for everything I did franchise wise last year. Had a blast and will be doing so again! My man.. lolTwitch

Re: The TrueSim Roster Project: MLB 24
What would you all say the difference is between this roster set and OSFM?
According to twitter, it seems as if OSFM might be another month+ atleast..
Might roll with these to start my Buccos chise but just wanted to hear some third party input.
Cheers.Comment

I'd be ok if the Crew brought back Greinke though. Just for one season.Last edited by Nygs; 04-25-2024, 02:16 PM.Comment
