In the franchise game I played I was the Yanks and lost to the Blue Jays. Dickey pitched a complete game and shut me down. When I did have runners on I couldn't get them in.

Pardon my stoopid noob question.
I know these sliders rely on player stats for the outcome, but should I still manually aim my pitches?

I have now played 6 games and have only issued 2 non-intentional walks. I've even moved HUM consistency and control to 0

I've played 9 in-season franchise games and I have 15 walks compared to 32 walks total for the staff in real life in the first 9 games of the season. That is with Consistency and Control both at 4. Using the Red Sox pitching staff.

5 with Porcello in 10.2 innings
4 with Buchholz in 12.0 innings
2 with Miley in 11.2 innings
2 with Masterson 13.2 innings
1 with Breslow in 2.2 innings
1 with Ogando in 7.1 innings

just wanted to say armor that your sliders rule. doing a franchise with the rockies and every inning i never know what my pitcher is going to do. thank you for creating this amazing slider set

I would recommend lowering your control to 3. If you still think you are too good pitching then raise the CPU contact to 6. This will make you want to nibble more at the edges in fear of giving up hits/doubles/HR and in turn put you in more situations to walk a batter. Walks are something that are user dependent. I absolutely refuse to walk batters if I can help it, unless the situation in the game calls for a pitch around. I would much rather feed you a 3-0 or 3-1 fastball down the pipe than to give you a free pass, especially if no one is on base.

Alrighty, so I had to restart my franchise because the save got corrupted, but I did change a few settings, now playing on All-Star difficulty across the board, classic pitching, quick counts and I do have the ball on fade for pitching but I don't think that has done to much to skew the stats, I don't have box scores but here are the stats I have accumulated from my first 5 games. Teams played are Yankees, Orioles x2, Rays, Braves so not all very good hitting teams.

Game Four Score: 5-1W
Game Five Score: 2-1L

Move on from this slider set and seek out a HOF or Legend set. We are not worthy.

This slider set is humming for me as I am playing this game 7 days a week and don't see that changing till 16 comes out!!

just A FYI, idk if it has been mention i have kept up with this thread so i don't think it has but I read on the first page about the Clean screen classic pitching (the only way to play IMO) besides the fact i like playing catcher (meaning calling the game as i believe the pitcher pitches on his own on classic) but if you are listening to the catcher (what finger he puts down where he sets up)


for R1 pitches he puts down four fingers and then wiggles them or pats his thigh
