I tend to hover around 50% for Zone% (I think it goes up with relievers since I guess I aggressively attack the zone with most of them) and give up a decent amount of walks given the BB/9 and Control ratings (the balls are usually enticing enough and the intended strikes are in the zone often enough).

I'm trying to get it down, which would make my walk totals have a chance at increasing at the least. Heck, maybe I'll get more K's from chases even.

I'm not sure what the heck happened before the AS break, so for now I'm sticking with those. I play another weak offense in Atlanta next.

I haven't really been paying attention to my zone% much. However I do give up an ok amount of walks. There's only been like 2 or 3 games where I've walked zero and I've had a few games where I've walked as many as 7. Through 92 games I'm walking 2.6 batters.
Played game 1 against the Astros with 7,6,5,3,5 and human pitching sliders at 0,2. I scored early and often and was up 6-0 after 5. Tanaka had only given up 1 hit. The 6th inning the Astros came to life. I was fortunate to get out of the inning giving up only 3 runs. I scored 2 more in the 8th for an 8-3 victory. Astros ended up with 4 hits, including a double (no homers). They walked 5 times and struck out 6 times. I was worried that these sliders were going to turn the cpu in to a homerun monster as the Astros have a powerful lineup. So I was encouraged that I can still dominate with this slider set. I also liked the nervousness and "fear" I felt in the 6th as the Astros could have scored a bunch more runs if they got 1 more clutch hit.

I guess the bottom line for me is that I dont think I can do anything more to "help" the cpu offense. I'm not increasing contact to 8 or increasing power any higher than 6. So I have to live with the results or quit playing the game. I'm encouraged to hear you say you have had games where the cpu had scored 10+ runs agsinst you with this slider set as I have yet to experience that. But with this slider set I feel like I have to earn my victories and that I can lose on any given day. At least that is what I hope for. I'm looking forward to game 2

Going to throw out a plug for this roster set:

        ALL Franchise V 4.0 by SC73Ray

I am having a truly great time running my own All Franchise Post Season Mode Tournament.

The Yankees have advanced to the ALCS (Bracket One) vs the Rays (Negro League All-Time Greats who defeated The Royals 3 games to 2). The Padres are facing the Dodgers after beating a tough Red Birds squad. The Dodgers made quick work of the Brewers All-Time Team.

After all 3 brackets have played (10 teams into each bracket) I will then hand pick 7 other teams based on runs allowed/wins/losses in the previous series they all played to figure out the final bracket to play for the All-Time Roster Cup.

        Should be fun!

I can tell you the CAP's are by all the famous CAP makers here and the pitch and equipment edits are fantastic. Also the games are tough, nail biters for the most part. Really awesome stuff folks. Check them out. I also am streaming a lot of these games. So hope to see you on Twitch too.

MLB The Show 16 is kicking *** like no other version before it. I am heading into August with the Fantasy Cardinals and probably going to challenge for a World Series title IMO. The 1987 Yankees in year 2 are also heading into the All-Star break and are playing great baseball as well.

So all the Rays need to do is conjure up the likes of Satchel Paige, Toni Stone, Josh Gibson, Cool Papa Bell...

Where can I get a medium knowledgeable about the Negro Leagues for cheap?

Gonna have to check this roster.

Every numbers are good in my Franchise, except for my team batting average (.302)

League average for Doubles, Home Runs, RBI, ERA.

Typical Inning: Single, Double Play, Single, Out.

Do you have an advice to reduce the number of singles without decreasing other statistics?

But instead of raising power to 6, have you thought about lowering your pitching sliders. Maybe lower control by a click. Idk what you have them set on but that should definitely help the CPU offense.

How far are you into your franchise?

After several games of 7,6,5,3,5 human pitching at 0,2 I have decided to go with 7,5,5,3,5 and 2,2 and leave it at that and no more slider asjustments. With power at 6 the Astros hit 6 homers in a game. It wasn't so much the number of homers but it was the pitches they were hitting them on. When I played this series with power at 5, I lost game 1 8-4, won game 2 6-4 and won game 3 4-3. I gave up 8 homers in the series. I played a game with human pitching sliders at 0,2 and threw 6 wild pitches which I think is too many. When I restarted this series (the scores above) I played the first 2 games with the pitching sliders at 2,3. I walked 2 in the first game and 0 in the second game. So I switched to 2,2 and walked 5 in game 3. I'm done with adjusting sliders. I'm going with 7,5,5,3,5 and 2,2 from now on.

Re: Armor & Sword & Marino's MLB The Show 16 Timed/Classic Simulation Sliders

With some slight tweaks(in my hitting) i am getting realistic stats per game , but CPU only scores on HR's , no matter what end result is , eg. 5-4 , 3-2, 4-1, etc..., all of their scores are result of HR's.

Plus it looks like CPU has uncanny ability to get under my pitches no matter where they end up, and gets everything in the air, specially from 6th inning and on.That includes even pitches in the dirt that i can't even touch with my swings. And not just full contact hits and/or good timing, but chipped, jammed, very late, very early..etc..everything goes up

I have tried tweaking every hitting (CPU) and pitching(me) sliders and it's still same result, with only difference being how many hits they have.

Other than that game plays nicely.

                    Any suggestions?

Lowered down power and solid hits by one and increased fouls by 1 for Human hitting.

CPU pitchers ball counts were to low and i had same problem (like CPU) with lifting everything (well being able to lift everything ). So i switched to zone and lowered those stats.

That did it for Human side, but i have no clue what to do for CPU, those fly balls/HR's are driving me crazy, as i don't remember when they actually scored (CPU) regular type of run (without HR).

Keep playing. I'm playing a game now and just gave up 3 runs on a bunt single, double, double, single. Next inning I gave up another run on a single, stolen base, wild pitch and groundout. This is against Harvey on the Mets. Trust the ratings

Question, I'm really liking these sliders and gameplay settings. I would like to know which visual I need to adjust to make it show the last pitch information? There used to be a pitching grid in the bottom corner after each pitch that would show location and speed.

There was also a batting feedback, it would tell me if I was too fast or slow. I'm using Zone hitting.

I set my sliders and game settings to the way you have them on the 1st page, I should have saved the default, so I'd have a reference point to go back to.

Thanks for any help you can offer. Great sliders by the way!

Thank you sir. By the way pitching like this is really FUN. I like having to read the sign from my catcher and then pitch accordingly.

Edit, I wonder if it has to do with the "Tips" section. I turned Swing/Pitch Info back ON and now it shows me information if I press R2 but it doesn't show the strike zone grid in the bottom corner after a pitch displaying the speed of the pitch, ball location and my swing speed. Oh well.
