Nice! So I guess now it is off to the 2019 season and getting Texas back to the Playoffs. I am currently 42-32 in 2018 with the Orioles...Working on a possible update for the future. I will provide my results and findings at the All-Star break @ 15 games or so.

          Re: True Game MLB Sliders

          2019 Off Season begins!!!

Breaking news out of Texas! As the ownership group sat down with GM Steve Barnett and manager Boris Cedeno to discuss the needs of the team. During the meeting GM Steve Barnett told ownership they need to open up the wallet this offseason to bring the fans back to Globe Life Park because attendance has been way down the last 2 seasons as the Rangers finished 59-103 in 2017 and 74-88 in 2018. The ownership said they understood but asked the GM to also move some salary with players who aren't performing to the salaries they are being paid.

After GM Steve Barnett sat down with the coaches they came up with a list of players that they were going to look at moving. Those players were the following: SS Ruben Tejada, SS Asdrubal Cabrera, 2B Sean Coyle, CP Francisco Rodriguez and 1B Edwin Encarnacion or 1B Jose Abreu.

After much discussion between Encarnacion and Abreu they decided Encarnacion would be the one to go even though they are both on the last year of their respective deals.

          The following trades were made:
Ruben Tejada was sent to the Padres in exchange for prospect Catcher Matt Whitmore.
Asdrubal Cabrera was sent to the Padres in exchange for prospect starting pitcher Felix Jorge
Sean Coyle was sent to the Pirates for prospects SS Gavin Cecchini and SP Anthony Ranaudo
Edwin Encarnacion was sent to the Angels for prospects 1B Jhailyn Ortiz and 3B Josh Ailes
Francisco Rodriguez was sent to the Mets for prospects SS Emmanuel Burriss and 2B Marc Heim

After the trades were made it was time to set their eyes on Free Agents and they went shopping and spent upwards of 280 Million in Free Agency!!! With the ownership's support GM Steve Barnett set out to save his job and bring a World Series to Texas.

          Players Acquired are as follows:
          Bryce Harper (RF) - 5yr/140 M
          Austin Jackson (CF) - 5yr/23.5 M
          DJ LeMehieu (2B) - 5yr/ 79 M
          Closer David Robertson - 4yr/30.8 M
          Gio Gonzalez (SP) - 2yr/12.7 M

Champagne bottles were popping in the front office as the Rangers had a very successful free agency period and feel they have strengthened their team in a big way!

The Lineup that they can see this year in the field will look something like this.
          C - Andrew Susac
          1B - Josh Bell
          2B - DJ LeMehieu
          SS - Jurickson Profar
          3B - Matt Dominguez
          LF - Gregory Polanco
          CF - Austin Jackson
          RF - Bryce Harper
          DH - Jose Abreu

          Rotation something like this:

          Ace - Archer
          2nd - Eickhoff
          3rd - Gonzalez
          4th - Kyle Zimmer
5th - Jameson Taillon or Tyler Glasnow

          Bullpen
          Closer - David Robertson
          Set Up - Dellin Betances
          MRP - Casey Fein
          MRP - Ray Black
          MRP - Miguel Gonzalez
          MRP - Arturo Bautista
          LRP - Michael Kirkman
          LRP - Vidal Nuno

You should either make a dynasty or post this in the franchise progress thread. This should be for sliders. I know you use the sliders and ur game results or great but this isn't the place to post franchise awards and off-season moves.

I am currently using All Star with some Hall of Fame as the level and I use Classic, I was never a fan of pulse. So I use the x to start the pitch meter x to stop it at the speed and x to get as close as I can to the accuracy line.

I am currently toying with veteran hitting and HOF pitching. I lowered by baseline sliders and only apply positive modifiers to pitching and negative to contact, power, and solid hits. Still use the others I have listed on the main page, speed, fielding etc. I wanted to see what results I get this season by using this method vice the version I used in the 2016 season. Then when 2018 rolls around I should have a solid grasp on how everything plays out. Right now I am happy with both so I may expand the spread sheet to allow both versions, because both offer competitive and realistic games and results. It was nice to see that in 2016 offline league my Orioles finished 90 and 72, in real life they finished 89-73. So close. Believe right now in 2017 I am 42-32. Great results so far. My one run record is 10-16 not so good, lost some very close games, so it shows the sliders are pretty much as close as I can get. The modifiers allow the game to change and evolve over time and each game offers a different variety and does away with slider chasing. I can say right now with my testing that hitting is better and more realistic on veteran I believe without looking that I am batting around .248 to around .255 up and down in between there recently compared to last season I was hitting around .220 to .238 most of the season. I would have to look back on page 2 or 3 to see where I finished in BA. So I am happy with the results I am getting so far. HR are in line with real life I have hit around 103 HR in 74 games and average of 1.4 HR/gm, Baltimore in real life this year average 1.56 HR per game the league average was 1.15 with the lowest average going to Atlanta at 0.75 HR/gm.

Okay you said you use classic, but then description you gave sounds like you actually use meter?

Coach Moder can you share what settings you are using and the modifiers you are using with Veteran/HOF Pitching? I am curious to see what kind of results I get also.
