    Re: True Game MLB Sliders

    Post Season 2018
Game 3 - Boston Red Sox at New York Yankees (series tied at 1)
    Date: 10/10/18 7:05pm
    Attendance: 49,642 (sellout)
    Weather: 51 F Clear
Wind: 16 mph, blowing out to CF
Pitching Matchup: Corey Kluber (BOS) vs Bryan Mitchell (NYY)

Boston puts up 4 runs in the very first winning as they get HR's from Pence and Rendon. Heading into the 9th the Red Sox Lead 6-2. The Yankees get timely hits from N. Hundley and D. Solano and have cut the Red Sox lead to 5-6. The Red Sox manager has seen enough of Hunter Strickland and has called in the closer Huston Street. Street gets Daniel Descalso to hit it on the ground and the game is over as he throws to first and the Red Sox are one game away from reaching the ALCS!

Player of Game: Anthony Rendon - 3 for 4 Double, HR and 4 RBi's

Great stats...I am curious who is going to pull this out now. Are you playing all of these games?

I am also doing some additional testing. I won't release until the All-Star break during my season and some feedback from some other people. How do you think the sliders are working out with the MODs for the CPU and human teams?

No I am not playing all of them. The team I picked the Texas Rangers didn't even make the playoffs so I am just simming the playoffs but not quick simming them. I am actually going into play game then simming 3 innings at a time till the end of the game.

2018 Post Season (Fantasy Draft) Continues. I was on the road for work for a few days so wasn't able to post.

Tonight we are live from New York City for the first game of the NLCS between the New York Mets and The defending champions of the 2017 World Series Cincinnati Reds.
Tonight's game pitching matchup is between Matt Harvey of the Mets (0-1 with a 1.50 ERA) and Lance McCullers (0-1 with a 7.20 ERA).
                    Date: 10/14/18 @ 7:05PM

It's 62 degrees at first pitch but the temperature is expected to drop into the low 50's as the night goes on and there isn't a cloud in the sky. The wind is blowing from RF to LF at 15 mph. It's a beautiful fall night for baseball in the big apple!
The energy in the stadium is electric as it's a sellout with standing room only. Back in a few minutes with game action.

Top of the 2nd inning and the Reds are the first on the board as Jon Singleton tattooed a ball to center to put the Reds up 1-0 on his 2nd HR of the playoffs.

As we head into the top of the 7th the scored is still 1-0 Reds as this has been quite the pitching duel with Lance McCullers pitching shout out baseball through 6 innings as he has only given up 2 hits and struck out 3. Meanwhile Matt Harvey has only really thrown one bad pitch back in the 2nd inning that Singleton put in the seats other than that one mistake he has given up 3 other hits and struck out 8 while walking none. While we have 3 innings to go in this pitching duel let's see if the Reds can hold on.

As we head into the 9th it's still 1-0 Reds. Lance McCullers was taken out in the 7th after he walked a batter and gave up a hit. Aaron Wilson came into pitch the rest of the 6th and shut down the scoring threat by the Mets. Trevor May came to pitch the 8th and put the Mets down 1-2-3. Matt Harvey went 8 full innings giving up 1 run on 5 hits and striking out 10. Jesse Crain is now in to pitch in the 9th and try to keep the game at 1-0 so the Mets will have a chance to tie or win the game in the bottom of the 9th.

After Jesse Crain did his job in the 9th and gave the Mets a chance to win or tie the game the Reds gave the ball to their closer Ken Giles. Giles came in and got LeMahieu to fly out and Starling Marte to pop out. Joc Pederson then ripped a double to center and the Mets were in business as they had the tying run in scoring position with Ramirez coming to bat. Ramirez hit a ball down the first base line and Pederson rounded 3rd heading home but an excellent thrown from right fielder Choo to the Catcher Fraser got Pederson at the plate and the Reds held on to win 1-0 and are now 3 wins away from returning to the World Series to defend their championship status.

The Reds were led on offense by Jon Singleton as he went 2 for 4 with a solo HR and a RBI.

For the Mets Starling Marte and Joc Pederson both hit their 3rd double of the post season.

Player of the game honors went to Lance McCullers as he went 6.1 innings with 3 hits 0 runs 1 walk and 4 strikeouts.

Stay tuned for the next game which will be game 1 of the ALCS!!!

                    Game 1 of the ALCS:

Tonight's game is live from historic Fenway Park in Boston as the Boston Red Sox will host the Los Angeles Angels.
Tonight's pitching up features the Red Sox's Clayton Kershaw (1-0, 2.25 ERA) and Aaron Nola (0-0, 3.00 ERA) of the Angels.
It's the 15th of October here in Boston and wow it's a very windy night as the temperature is 56 degrees but the wind is blowing at 22 mph from RF to LF and it's a night for bundling up and drinking some hot coffee or coca here in Boston.
To say the crowd is pumped up would be doing it a disservice as I can barely hear myself think as we have a standing room only sell out here at Fenway. Back in a few moments with first pitch.

Top of the 2nd and the Angels waste no time getting on the board as Lewis Brinson singled to center to score Aledmys Diaz and put the Angels in the lead early 1-0.

As we head to the 7th inning this has been a pitchers duel as the score is still 1-0 Angels. Through six innings each pitcher is answering the other as we take a look at their stats. Aaron Nola has given up 0 runs 5 hits walked 1 and struck out 4 in the first 6 innings. While Clayton Kershaw has given up 1 run on 4 hits walked 1 and struck out 6.

As we head into the 9th the Angels still lead 1-0. In the bottom of the 8th the Red Sox really threatened as Johnny Giavotella doubled to center of reliever Addison Reed and then later in the inning Hunter Pence doubled but Giavotella had to hold up at 3rd because of the quick throw back in by Jackie Bradley Jr. So with runners at 2nd and 3rd one out Addison Reed calmed down and struck out Freddie Freeman and Kyle Schwarber back to back to end the inning and keep the game 1-0 heading into the 9th.

The Angels will bring out their closer Zach Britton for the bottom of the 9th. The first batter to face Britton is Anthony Rondon and after getting ahead in the count 3-1 Britton comes back with 2 nasty pitches to put him down on strikes. Jonathan Schoop steps into the box he is 1 for 3 tonight and he grounds out to the shortstop Diaz. Ian Desmond steps to the plate he is 1 for 3 tonight and is the last chance for the Angels here in the 9th. Desmond works the count to a full count but Britton gets him looking on a back door slider and the Angels win game one 1-0.

Player of the Game award goes to Angels pitcher Aaron Nola as he went 6.0 innings giving up 0 runs on 6 hits 1 walk and struck out 4.

NOTE FOR COACH MODER: I am Amazed at how game 1 of the NLCS and ALCS had pretty much the same exact script. I think it isn't anything just weird.

                      Game 2 of the NLCS:

Garrett Richards of the Reds was unbelievable in this game as he pitched a complete game shutout giving up 7 hits 3 walks and striking out 6 as the Reds beat the Mets 4-0 in citi field to take a commanding 2-0 lead in the NLCS.

The Reds were led on offense by Conor Gillaspie as he went 2 for 3 with a double and 2 RBI. Arcia also hit a solo HR in the 6th.

                      Game 2 of the ALCS:

                      Date: 10/16/18 @ 7:05PM

The weather here tonight is downright COLD as the temperature is 39 degrees with a 22 mph wind blow from LF to RF.
The pitching match up for tonight is brought to you by Gravel Town Law features Taijuan Walker for the Red Sox he is 1-0 with a 2.57 ERA this post season and he will be facing off against Luis Severino of the Angels as he is 1-0 with a 1.13 ERA in the postseason.
This should be a great game so grab your bomber jacket, take a shot of rye and settle in for what should be an exciting game.

Wow! Here in the very first inning Taijuan Walker finds himself in a bases loaded situation with no outs after Crawford singled, Bradley got on because of an error and Cabrera walked. Logan Fostythe came up after Luis Valbuena struck out on a high and in splitter. Forsythe hit a grounder through the hole to right, Crawford and Bradley score and the Angels lead 2-0 in the very first inning.

In the bottom of the 3rd with Hunter Pence on first and Kevin Plawecki on 3rd, Freddie Freeman rips a line drive to center to score Plawecki and Boston cuts the lead to 1-2.

In the bottom of the 6th with 2 outs Rendon walks and Jonathan Schoop comes up and hits a high fly ball to deep center which just gets over the wall for a 2 run homerun! His 2nd of the post season and the Red Sox now lead the Angels 3-2.

After the Red Sox scored 2 in the 6th the Angels come right back in the 7th with some fireworks of their own. With the bases loaded Jackie Bradley Jr grounded to center between the 2B and SS as Perez and Diaz both come around to score and put the Angels back on top 4-3. Miguel Cabrera then stepped to the plate with JP Crawford on 2nd and Jackie Bradley on 1st. Cabrera hits one straight up the middle and Crawford scores from 2nd to extend the lead to 5-3. Logan Fosythe then hit a line drive to center to score Jackie Bradley and the Angels lead 6-3.

As we head into the 9th the Angels are leading 6-3. The Red Sox send in JP Howell to pitch the 9th with the hopes he can keep the game close to give the Red Sox a chance in the 9th. Well that plan didn't work as Howell walks Miguel Cabreara and then Luis Valbuena doubles to score Cabrera and the Angels lead 7-3 going into the bottom of the 9th.

The Angels start the inning with Nick Burdi in the 9th and he walks Ian Desmond and then Dusty Coleman doubles down the first baseline to put runners at 3rd and 2nd with no outs. The Angels manager has seen enough and just called the bullpen to bring in his closer Zach Britton. Britton comes in hits Kevin Palwecki to load the bases. Hunter Pence comes to bat with the bases loaded and is the tying run. Britton goes low and inside and gets Pence to chase it and strike him out for the 1st out. This brings up the rookie Manuel Margot who is 0 for 4 tonight and batting .167 in the post season. Britton puts him down on strikes and with the bases loaded the Angels are one out away from getting out of this situation and going up 2 games to zero over the Sox. Freddie Freeman steps in as the last hop to face Britton. Freddie is 2 for 4 tonight with an RBI and batting .360 in the post season. Britton gets ahead on the count 1-2 and throws a down and away breaking ball to strike out Freeman and get the save. The Angels win game 2 7-3 and now lead the series 2-0.

The Angels were led on offense by Logan Forsythe as he went 2 for 5 with 3 RBI. Fosythe now has 7 RBI during the post season.

The Red Sox were led on offense by Jonathan Schoop as he went 1 for 4 with a Homerun and 2 RBI. Schoop now has 8 RBI during the post season and is batting .308

Player of the Game: Luis Severino - 7.0 IP 3 Runs 3 Hits 3 walks and 8 strikouts

                        Game 3 of the NLCS:
                        10/17/18 @ 7:05PM

Tonight we are in Cincinnati Ohio as the Cincinnati Reds will host the New York Mets in game 3 of the NLCS. The Reds lead the series 2-0.
The pitching match up tonight brought to you by Riverside Brewing features for the Cincinnati Reds Jordan Zimmerman (2-0, 1.42 ERA) and for the New York Mets Cole Hamels (2-0, 0.55 ERA). This is a prime pitching match up and should be a great one!
