Armor, this is a little off topic from sliders, but I'm curious if you take notes during your games to track certain things like bullpen usage or certain stats you care about?

      Or your simmed games.

I have injuries at 8 for games played and 5 for simmed games.

      It works great.

If your using this set-up....you are snake bit. I always live with my injuries. It is part of the simulation for me.

In my Matheny Manifesto YR2 file, I lost Ender Inciarte for the season, Bryce Harper was out 6 weeks, Yordano Ventura (RIP) out 2 months, Kenta Madea out 2 months.

      It happens.

I have had to use my bench depth and AAA guys to fill in and solider through.

      It happens.
All games played, oddly enough I leave that injury slider at 8 when I sim and the CPU doesn't even have nearly as many big injuries like I do. When do you give a guy a day off? I typically give them a day off before the game even prompts me so not like I'm pushing the limits in regards to fatigue.

I don't use 30 team control so not like I can even reverse one if I wanted too, even though I technically wouldn't since it would feel like "cheating" but at the same time this is just getting ridiculous. They need to really fix the injury system on next years game, watching a pitcher take a line drive off his leg and no injury, Dyson belly flops into first and is injured.....no way anyone can convince me that's realistic.

As for you losing Inciarte and Harper, the Harper injury would hurt for sure. Try losing your top 2 rated players on offense, your best leadoff guy, your best batter against LHP (Valencia) and another top 5 offensive player on your roster and all for 1-2 months outside of Dyson. I mean if a team in real life lost a majority of their starting lineup for a couple months the team would free fall into the basement. I mean hell, I've lost 3 of my 5 best offensive players now and all for multiple months at a time.

I have my Injuries at 7 and I don't change them for sim (rest of games for the day) or games played at all. I do play everyone of my games. I haven't luckily had to bad a injury bug. A few key players, but nothing crazy. My minor team actually has taken a little hit however. I really haven't seen anything crazy or a team with to many injuries.

Yeah and? That is the point. It happened to you in your season.

Your either willing to solider through or just restart.

And BTW you don't need 30 team control to fix (if you feel it is not fair) your injuries. You can simply go to your profile and change the injury setting to manual and eliminate or eliminate and then re-injure the player with a less drastic injury.

          It's your universe.

But I have no issues with the injury system in place at all. I get some crazy injuries, sometimes I don't, and the league is balanced injury wise typically every season I play. I see some huge blows to some teams (like IRL) and some are fortunate.

It is all part of the simulation.

Hell....look at Atlanta. They just lost Freddie Freeman for 10 weeks. Huge blow to an already offensively challenged team.

My Cardinals chise....losing Inciarte was a huge blow. He was on fire. But I have gotten through it with an effective platoon. Losing Harper was rough in the beginning. I literally lost him week one. Then proceeded to go 3-10 in my first 13 games.

Enter Greg Bird who caught fire and Maikel Franco....they carried the weight till he got back (along with Tyler "Great" White off the bench and Salvador Perez). I went on a 17-3 run!!! It was glorious. Then in the midst of it lost Inciarte and Ventura....ugh!!!

With those guys out and my two rotation starters....I am still in first place...I am battling.

To me it is fun to have injury adversity. So sack up Chef......

Think about the Mets, not as bad as your franchsie but still pretty bad: their #1 starter, Noah, out for at least 3 months (probably for the year), their closer, Familia, out for 3 months, their best hitter, Yo, out for over a month, their starting third baseman likely out for the year, their #4 starter out at least 2 months, their #6 starter out at least 2 months. They've also had their starting catcher, shortstop, and first baseman have DL stints.

Been a few weeks since I've been on this forum..
Will someone please give me a quick summary of what I've missed? I see that HOF options have been added, what else?

                  Thanks so much!

                    That is pretty much it.

I have moved up to HOF pitching and you can see the adjustments you make:

                    CPU Contact - 5
                    HUM Consistency - 4
                    HUM Control - 4

And you are ready to roll.

Also I am managing the CPU's bullpen when they warm up as we have identified an issue with them warming up and never being set to "Ready and Waiting" by the CPU. So when I am at the plate i will pause the game, go to team select screen and move the controller to the CPU team, and go into their bullpen and set the reliever to Ready and Waiting once they are at at least 75% warm.

SDS is investigating this as well for a potential fix in an upcoming update.

I guess what doesn't help with the injury irritation is the fact that it doesn't make much sense. I hit a line drive right off Sanzatela's chest last game, guy didn't even need to see a trainer let alone get injured. Meanwhile I've now had 2 guys get hurt standing at first base after a hit. Cano was hurt diving back to first on a pickoff attempt on the runner at second. Jarrod Dyson was injured belly flopping on a pitch out at first as well. It just doesn't seem balanced at all. The game before last Chad Bettis somehow had to leave the game due to concussion like symptoms on a foul ball claiming he had "taken a blow to the head". How did he get hit in the head on a ball that was hit into the stands? I've now seen that happen 3 or 4 times always to the CPU SP and it's always been on a foul ball. So CPU SP's who apparently get hit in the chest have no ill effects but at random times a foul ball will lead to a concussion for the SP lol, it makes zero sense to me.

It is what it is, I'll just manage but seeing a SP take a line drive off his body keep going like nothing happened and weird, fluke plays result in a guy being out 2 months I have to wonder whats going on.

Henry Cotto went on the 60 DL rupturing his ear drum using a Q-Tip when a teammate bumped into arm in the dugout while he was cleaning out his ear.
