Happy residing in All Star plus pitching for now as well. Nice in between for guys who arent ready to go full HOF yet. with my style of pitching and QC im getting a good mix of outcomes so far. I fear the guys i need to fear and have more confidence against the lower rated guys, though they have beaten me too if i wasnt able to execute pitches.

        OP has been updated.

If you pitch on HOF make the following adjustments to both Gameplay and Quick Manage sets:

        CPU contact to 5
Hum consistency and control to 4

Incredible difference for me pitching on HOF.

A much needed jump in difficulty for me personally.

PS4 Pro you will get a much improved framerate. And coupled with a 4K Ultra HD tb the framerate is off the hook.

          Huge upgrade.

Im confused, if I'm on HOF pitching, is the cpu on HOF hitting? If I'm on All-Star hitting, is the cpu on All-Star pitching?

Welcome to HOF classic pitching, you'll never go back.

I play on pretty similar settings but I knocked HUM/CPU solid hits down to 4.

Also the CPU will not only groove mistakes...they'll groove some pitches you thought you painted the black with. Hey that stuff happens though so you just tip your hat. I think HOF is the best setting for classic pitching.

This change to HOF has improved the game x10 for me. Had a nice 6 game winning streak snapped by the Pirates today as I labored through 5 innings with CC. He had men on base every inning although only allowing single runs in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th innings. His control was nonexistent as he was behind almost every hitter. I could manage only a solo homer off Nova from Greg Bird in the 9th inning and lost 3-1. Everything about HOF pitching feels great. This game played perfectly. I got behind hitters and they took advantage and I could do nothing at the plate.

I use metered pitching with these sliders and they also work well...Has anyone made the jump to Hall of Fame using metered pitching? I might try it tonight.

You have done it again, made me give HOF a try and I have never felt such tense battles while on the mound since I've played this game!

I was Boston vs Blue Jays. Through 5, Sale dominated and only had allowed 1 hit. Start of 6th... oh man, it started with a double. Then walked a batter.. next batter doubled hard scoring both runs.. ended up walking another. Brought in some relief and worked my way out of a bases loaded 1 out to maintain a 3-2 lead.

I had to truly work and sweat every single pitch the rest of the way when before I felt pretty confident I'd wrap it up in relief.

I was by no means dominating on all star but wasn't challenging as major league hitters should be, this new HOF setting you have is right down my alley. There is a reason I use your slider set and only your set, you always keep striving for the perfect MLB experience and I thank you sir!

                    Edit:::

Forgot to say, I finally walked batters!!! All star i maybe walked 1-2 in a handful of games. This game, Sale had 4 walks and one of my RP walked one. The computer walked me 4 times.

How are others injuries looking with it at 8? I ask because I've got guys falling right and left and it's constantly in instances that were they to happen in real life it would be an extreme fluke. First I lose Nelson Cruz when he scores a run, without sliding, and fractures his arm. Then I lose Robinson Cano on a pick off attempt at second (which didn't even involve him) saying he stepped awkwardly or something like that and may miss a bunch of time with a foot injury. Meanwhile Cano has a 96 durability rating and Cruz was a 90+ as well. Literally Cano hurt himself doing nothing. I get that injuries are a part of baseball but to lose your 2 best players, who both have 90+ durability on fluke plays all within the first 2 months of your season pretty much destroys the remainder of the season. If my offense was bad before, it's gonna be absolute dog **** now. The kicker is I can hit a ball right off the pitcher and guy keeps pitching like nothing happened, I said it before, the injuries in this game make zero sense.

So, is anyone else experiencing a high number of injuries? I'm about ready to blow the team up and just tank this season and that's sad seeing as I'm not even halfway through the month of May yet.

I've had one minor injury and I'm finishing up June. So far no issue on my end.

Yeah, seeing a fair number of injuries!!! It is AWESOME (it forces you to work your depth, manage the system....best part of the game)!! Sucks you lost your best guys, but that's the baseball gods for ya'....

Injuries happen and I dont doubt that, but injuries to guys with high durability while not doing anything that would even lead to an injury is a little odd. If that's the case then they should just do away with the whole durability rating entirely as it doesn't seem to matter much.

Again, how can a pitcher take a line drive off his chest/leg/arm and not even have to leave the game but a guy standing around at first hurts himself doing nothing and will be out for an extended amount of time? Injuries are one thing and I don't mind them if it makes even a sliver of sense but watching guys go down while basically standing around, imo, is creating injuries for the sake of having injuries.

No way will i ever go back to hof pitching. I get hammered too many times. I don't use armor sliders, and i do agree with him about it getting to easy on allstar. I'm thinking about adjusting solid hits to 6 and leave contact to 5 in allstar. I have the utmost respect for people that play on that level, but it's definitely not for me.

I find it interesting that all of this talk is now about moving up to HOF pitching, because for the last eight games or so, I can't get anyone out on AS. I think I have lost seven games in a row and have given up double digit runs in the majority of those. I would think the CPU has to be hitting 350 in those games.
