I bumped up user timing and it made a big difference for me until I got use to the good pitching. Once I started to do better I lowered user timing back to default and I'm not striking out as much.

By the way. Just saw a weird glitch. I wonder if it's the new patch, but I haven't seen it before. Playing against Seattle and got to Iwakuma early for 8 runs. They bring in Gallardo who was already low on energy from appearing in the last 2 games. I worked him hard and hit him around until his energy and confidence were at absolute zero!

With this so low I just kept mashing homers until I had to take control of Seattle and put in a reliever (2 were warm in the bullpen) I bet if I left him in he would have stayed there the entire game.

Has anyone noticed a glitch/bug like this yet??!!

Well my experiment on HOF pitching is over. I just gave up 36 runs in 3 games lol I wanted more offense for the cpu but not that much. Back to all-star

Another option....lower the pitch speed settings to get your bearing on All Star hitting. Veteran pitch speeds are slower....so it could just be a timing issue as well.

I am testing HOF pitching with user control and consistency on default 5 and working from there.

It is a new world. I need to lock this in as I am not turning back.

I have seen this problem a few times since day 1. They don't pull the RP. Every time I started a franchise and played Texas, Claudio would come in and get knocked around and they wouldn't pull him. It was in my MoM franchise. I haven't seen it in my Play Franchise yet though.

Interested to hear how the bump up to HOF pitching goes. I've been considering making that move too. On another note, I'm curious if anyone has seen any evidence that the CPU position player substitution logic has improved with 1.06. Things like non-catchers catching, left-handed OFs playing SS, etc. This has still been an issue for me since patch 1.05. Not a major annoyance. Sometimes the CPU even corrects it after the first out. Would be nice if they fixed it though. Although it did provide some comic relief yesterday when Cameron Rupp made a diving catch in RF.

Is hof pitching that much harder? I like hard but also like realistic.

I think another way of putting it is all star this year just isn't putting up a challenge. I play HOF pitching with foul frequency at 3 and power at 4. My pitching sliders are both 2/2. I just finished a game now. Beat the CPU 6-3. I had 7 hits (3 HR lol) and they had 6 six hits. Struck them out 8 times and walked three. I'm only on All star for hitting though. I would say the biggest difference for me is you really have to manage your pitching technique. On All Star you can just cruise and throw pitches and for the most part get away with that. You don't have to be fully invested in the pitching IMO. On HOF, you can't let it get away from you. Aside from pitching to really crappy hitters, you really have to buckle down and outsmart the CPU. Don't fall into patterns and you definitely will have to walk people to get better matchups. I don't mean your pitcher loses control and you walk somebody. I mean purposely pitch around guys. Throw pitches that lead to double plays etc. It can be stressful but it's worth the challenge I think.

                            HOF Classic Pitching Update

Ok......what a revalation for me this cycle. I was clearly dominating on All-Star Classic pitching this season. I was feeling this way towards the end of 2016’s cycle. I even went to no ball marker and no vibration, but still...I would mow down the CPU with relative ease with any pitcher most of the time.

I had tried HOF last season and was getting destroyed too often.....but now I understand that this is a new level in every way. No longer can you “take a pitch off” No longer can you get away with too many mistake pitches too often.

This is exactly what the doctor ordered for me. I caution any of you who are getting great results on All-Star Classic pitching to stay right there.

But those of you who have clearly been mowing down team after team and find yourself not fearing the CPU offense anymore.

                            Step right up.

But be ready. Be ready to change the way you approach batters, be willing to walk guys more, nibble the zone a lot more, and use your out pitches less often. Be ready to change up your pitching patterns the second time, third time through the order, be ready to shake off your catcher more often, choose your own locations more often.

Just be ready to work your *** off to be successful.

With all that being said here is my first beta setting for HOF pitching.

Everything is exactly like the OP except

                            CPU Contact - 5 (instead of 6)
                            HUM Control - 4
                            HUM Consistency - 4

So here we are. A new adventure, a new era for me on The Show. I am really excited about this. The game has a fresh new feel now for me. It was time to move up my pitching level.

As far as hitting.....love where I am at with All-Star Hitting. Perfect balance and feel and not changing a thing.

Stay tuned for more updates and synopsis. And soon final human pitching values for the HOF level. It will not take me long to tune this to my skill level.
