Regarding the ball physics and hit variety, 100% true. Last night I'm down 2-1 with the bases loaded and 2 outs. Neil Walker on a 2-2 count hits a shallow pop up over the first basemen's head and it drops between the first baseman, right fielder, and second basement. I threw the controller in joy. It was beautiful. It was such a minuscule play in terms of baseball in general, but it was so pretty. Yes, if I didn't have fielder's speed and reaction at both 3, that's probably caught. But man, with a few tweaks here and there, this game not only looks but PLAYS like baseball. My hitting sliders are perfect, absolutely perfect. There is nothing to change.
I know I sound like a broken record, but I went up to HOF Friday and Saturday for HUM pitching. Played ten games between the two days. Lost all ten. It was BRUTAL. I had CPU sliders all at 5 except foul frequency. My pitching sliders at both 2/2. Your medicore-bad players on the Braves turning 100 mph fastballs and 94 mph sliders into line drives with ease with Syndergaard on the mound. The struggle was real. Sunday, I went back down to AS, but upped CPU Contact to 6 and lowered my control/consistency to 1. Couldn't strike anybody out but only gave up 3 runs in the 4 games I played. CPU was swinging at everything. I know these are small sample sizes and things to revert to the mean in this game, but I can just get a feel after playing the game for so many years that the challenge is not there on AS this year. So I decided THIS IS IT. I don't have slideritis this year but instead have difficultyitis (?) I'm going to go back to HOF, because the challenge is way more exciting than me dominating. I am going to keep control at 2, and consistency at 3, as you have it. I am going to keep the CPU sliders at 5 as you have them, except power which will be at 4 because they were MASHING at default. I'm only telling you this because you have contact at 6, and I don't know how in the world you would get them out. Regardless, have fun! Curious to hear how you do as you have been making sliders for AS difficulty level for as long as I can remember.
