Today in my game the Royals pulled Danny Duffy after 5 IP 8H 2BB 4ER He did not have great stuff. A WHIP of 2.00. That is ineffective pitching.

In the 6th they put in LRP Minor who I proceeded to shellack in his 2nd and 3rd innings pitched. This was game 3 of a 3 game set and I swept them. I chalked that up to a white flag response from the Royals and not wanting to dig into their bullpen anymore once the game got way out of reach.

I have not seen highly questionable early pulls in 94% of my games played. I would say there is no problem.

This game feels incredible and I keep saying it, but we finally got a next gen (PS4 generation) baseball game. AS great as MLB 16 was for me (and it was) this game is on a completely different level in terms of hitting realism and fielding realism.

It really is a stark contrast. And I can't say enough great things about the ball physics and fielding animations coupled with the humanity AI.

This really feels like real baseball. The kind I actually played on the field for 42 years and counting.
Regarding the ball physics and hit variety, 100% true. Last night I'm down 2-1 with the bases loaded and 2 outs. Neil Walker on a 2-2 count hits a shallow pop up over the first basemen's head and it drops between the first baseman, right fielder, and second basement. I threw the controller in joy. It was beautiful. It was such a minuscule play in terms of baseball in general, but it was so pretty. Yes, if I didn't have fielder's speed and reaction at both 3, that's probably caught. But man, with a few tweaks here and there, this game not only looks but PLAYS like baseball. My hitting sliders are perfect, absolutely perfect. There is nothing to change.

I know I sound like a broken record, but I went up to HOF Friday and Saturday for HUM pitching. Played ten games between the two days. Lost all ten. It was BRUTAL. I had CPU sliders all at 5 except foul frequency. My pitching sliders at both 2/2. Your medicore-bad players on the Braves turning 100 mph fastballs and 94 mph sliders into line drives with ease with Syndergaard on the mound. The struggle was real. Sunday, I went back down to AS, but upped CPU Contact to 6 and lowered my control/consistency to 1. Couldn't strike anybody out but only gave up 3 runs in the 4 games I played. CPU was swinging at everything. I know these are small sample sizes and things to revert to the mean in this game, but I can just get a feel after playing the game for so many years that the challenge is not there on AS this year. So I decided THIS IS IT. I don't have slideritis this year but instead have difficultyitis (?) I'm going to go back to HOF, because the challenge is way more exciting than me dominating. I am going to keep control at 2, and consistency at 3, as you have it. I am going to keep the CPU sliders at 5 as you have them, except power which will be at 4 because they were MASHING at default. I'm only telling you this because you have contact at 6, and I don't know how in the world you would get them out. Regardless, have fun! Curious to hear how you do as you have been making sliders for AS difficulty level for as long as I can remember.

I made this suggestion yesterday I think. I bumped reaction down 1 and the hitting game opened up for me. They still make great plays, but at a more realistic rate. I started seeing a more realistic rate of balls in the gap as well as balls getting past the SS and 3B instead of them making a top 10 play 95% of the time. It just just seemed t make game play a bit more organic. This slider set is top notch, and this little tweak, at least for me, has worked great.

I am actually going to follow your lead and bump down CPU contact to 5 on HOF. I was crushed last year on 16 on HOF. But this year I need to move up.

        It's time.

Im playing on HoF pitching and i think contact need to be at 5, I played 4 games with HoF pitching and contact 6 and AI has scored 8 runs in two of those games , 6 in the 3rd game and the last game I won 4-3, in every game the AI managed to get at least 12 hits, Not to mention Im failing to get more than 6 strike outs on the games.

Also for some reason I havent been able to hit a homerun without even changing Batting to HoF (winds is at 4 tough and i have pitch speed at 8) I use the yankees.

Armor man don't shoot me down and kill me on this, I only ask because I love how your sliders play. Have you messed around with quick counts at all to have some suggestions on what needs to be modified from your set to make them work on QC. I remember you doing this last year or the year before but I went back and looked and its gone. Again I know you play full games, this is jus from someone who loves your work but can't find the time to play full games all the time..Thanks

I'm using these Sliders on Veteran for hitting but it is getting to a point where it's too easy for me. When I jump up to All Star I'm striking out like 20 times a game . Any ideas for what Slider I can tweak for the time being so I don't swing and miss so much? I'm using the OP pitch speed and to be honest I really like it. Would Hitter timing be the one to adjust?

I also just bumped up to HOF pitching. I feel like all my pitchers were starting to get Sub 3 ERAs so I needed to make them a little more human.

Update on my sox franchise with these sliders and reaction down 1:

                    After 9 games (4-5 record)

                    15th in team BA
                    9th in runs
                    15th in hits
                    7th in dbls (19)
                    1st in triples (7)
                    7th in HR (12)
                    8th in SB (5)
                    5th in ks (59)
                    3rd in slg% (.477)
                    21st in ob% (.305)
                    3rd in errors (2)
                    11th in era (3.25)
                    5th in homers allowed (8)
                    1st in walks (7)
                    23rd in pitching ks (62)

All seem pretty decent except my walks allowed.

I played my two game series this morning against baltimore. I got spanked in game 1, 8-0. Gausman was unhittable. Game 2 i couldnt string anything together and lost 4-1. Machado hit a homer in game 1 so i beaned him...lol. Davis hits everything over the fence though jesus. So now im on a 3 game skid going into the TB series. Need to get these bats going.

I can't make any promises on a quick count set. It would take extensive testing for me to put something on the OP.

Tell you what I'm going to use a classic roster in quick counts only and that will give me a feel for anything that needs to be adjusted, just be patient please.

Move human contact up to six, leave power at five, leave timing at five and see how it goes for 10 games.
