Judge just hit his 13th hr of the season. So see it happens in real life. 13 in a little over a month.

My issue isn't giving up HR's, the CPU is averaging 1.21 HR's per game which is high compared to MLB averages of 0.92 but it would be nice to see a couple of those HR's turned into doubles since those are low but either way that's not my focus. My issue is me hitting HR's at a 1.83 per game clip or 1.9 out of every 10 hits being a HR, that's nearly 2x the average. Could it fall off a cliff out of the blue and go back to the mean? I'm sure it could but as of right now, after 24 games, it's just too high for what I'd like to see stats wise.

Well my first instinct was to drop the power and solid hits sliders by 1. It definitely cut down on HR's and I was able to hit a few balls into the gaps which I felt would have been homers before. The down side was that just about every hit felt weak. Even the doubles just kind of floated and rolled to the wall. With solid hits and power both back at 5 a double in the gap actually feels like a well hit double into the gap, if that makes sense.

Maybe just put batting in legend?

I've considered that but I like the overall logic on All-Star and would rather see if I can't tighten that up first. Honestly All-Star playing solid with only a few issues I need to figure out and then it will be perfect (Too many HR's for myself, high batting average for me and not striking out enough). I might be able to solve 2/3 of those with a simple uptick in fastball pitch speed so I have less time to read a pitch and with wind at 3 last game I didn't see any balls hit that seemed to just float forever for HR's so that might solve that.

You were right. Just trust the sliders. In the first month of my franchise my team was dead last in batting average but they have come alive the last week and they have climbed up about 15-20 points in average so I am no longer in last. Thanks for the work u put into them.

Absolutely loving the ebb and flow this game provides over the course of a franchise. It's really something spectacular. I feel like I need to build my team to meet any success as the Reds, because regardless of how great you are at the game, you can't force sub-par players into hitting like Barry Bonds. Player ratings have such a big impact and I love it. I really can't say that about any other sports game on the market.

These sliders just make the experience that much better. Awesome community; best sports game I've ever played, and I started gaming in the 80s

My only problem so far is the CPU just doesn't score much. After 32 games, my ERA is right around 3.25. One reason for that is that I don't walk anybody. Maybe one a game. Should I turn control down one click?

Put pitching in legend, that way your Quality starters really make a difference and the average and rookies struggle more, or maybe just increase contact and solid hits

                      Yep.

Are you playing with ball marker and vibration on? If so shut them off.

I have similar issues with All Star.

On All Star, the CPU pitchers simply make too many mistakes. These eminently hittable pitches wind up giving you more opportunities to groove one and lead to higher HR totals. HUM pitchers also don't have to pay enough for mistakes, and even with reduced control, they are generally very accurate.

In brief forays into HOF, I've noticed that there are far fewer mistake pitches and this has a huge effect on HUM offense overall. I've also noticed that CPU hitters are more consistently dangerous.

I think Armor has said that these play well on HOF. Maybe a move to HOF is warranted?

I thought originally that the move from All Star to HOF in MLBTS would be like the move from All Pro to All Madden in Madden (i.e., crazy things would happen and the CPU would get ridiculous boosts to compensate and create a "challenge"), but I found HOF in MLBTS to be very organic-feeling and ratings-based. I was able to get close games and blowouts for both HUM and CPU there, but with less mistakes for the CPU pitcher in general and more penalty for HUM pitchers' mistakes.

Armor...are you seeing the SU guys being used properly (if at all)? I've been seeing CPU bring in MRs in late game situations with slight lead when SUs are fully rested. I am not seeing same problem with CL.
