Wow guys,

The trading frenzy going on in my franchise is glorious.

Now I use 30 team control and I go around the league, look at standings, team budgets and markets and also who they have in their trade block.

I then create my storylines and execute fair and reasonable trades that make real sense.

I can tell you The Rockies are 15 games back and are in rebuild mode dumping expiring contracts like:

Cargo
Lemaieu
Blackmon
Gray

They have made some serious trades and loaded up on some young talent. They can still win next season!!

The Royals moved Hosmer (just wait till you see the deal they made and with who)

The Whitesox are in first place at the break!!!

The Marlins are only 4 back and made a bold move for a rental starter!!!

The Dodgers, Cubs, Blue Jays and Rangers were involved with The Rockies purge!!!

But all of them paid with high level prospects and some old veterans as throw in's.

A huge All-Star break trade write up is coming today at some point.

Chock full of story capsules with player/GM reactions on all the deals.

I wish I had set my franchise up with 30 team control, being 99 games in there's no way I can go back but outside of a couple odd trades they haven't been too terrible. Like your franchise Colorado is also starting to sell off pieces (David Dahl to Boston and Charlie Blackmon to Baltimore), the Dahl trade made sense but the Blackmon one didn't make a ton of sense as Baltimore shipped back 2 solid prospects and Adam Jones. The real head scratcher was TB trading Chris Archer to KC for 3 "B" prospects yet KC is 10 GB in the Central as well as the wild card, seems odd for them to make such a big move when behind by so many games and it seems even weirder that TB would unload a ace SP with multiple years of control left while not even getting a single "A" prospect in return.

Outside of those the only other big names moved have been Brian Dozier (to LAD), Sonny Gray (to Seattle), Kelvin Herrera (to Cleveland) and Matt Kemp (to Toronto). Ironically Dahl broke his arm 2 games after being traded to Boston and the only reason Boston wanted him is because Mookie Betts tore his ACL and is out for the season so that didn't work out well.

If the ONLY things San Diego Studio fixed for next years game was bullpen logic and the friggin double switch with the catcher late in games I would still buy it. That's how much I love this game but how annoying those two things are for me. Phillies have three catchers in the MLB. In the 8th they pinch hit for their catcher with somebody who doesn't hit much better. They still have two catchers sitting in the dugout. But nope, they leave Aaron Altherr to catch. Wtf. Of the 16 pitches thrown, he dropped 15 of them. If they devoted all money, time, and labor to 7th, 8th, and 9th inning AI, for me the game would be a 10/10 and they could still charge me the same full price and I would buy. Ugh

Absolutely agree.....the only thing you can do to overcome this is 30 team control and take over the CPU team during the game to fix the substitution there. But I have seen them sub out the back up catcher (only happened to me once believe it or not have not seen it since) and then you are screwed.


But yes....they need to work out some kinks for next years game....but gameplay is simply amazing this year.

Don't even need 30 team control to do this, just pause, switch sides, sub out the player then switch back. I haven't had this happen yet but I also play in the AL so very few pinch hitting opportunities even happen but I'd think simply switching sides and subbing in an actual catcher would fix this problem more often then not.

I'd add in the postseason stamina issues as well. The game is really excellent this year.

How much would you pay if they fixed those issues AND made it possible to create an expansion team and create a stadium for them !!

I'd rather they bring back classic stadiums like the expos, Joe Robbie, old Tiger stadiums for season replays. I don't need a create a stadium or expansion.

Well I've been doing play now tests with dynamic using different pitchers in orders to create variety so not to always go up against aces or #2 guys. Mixed in LHP and RHP only used the Braves and Indians as my team to help decide which team I want to use. Using Armors OP set and 7 games in, it's settling in at hitting Veteran and pitching AS. I'm almost there where I think I'll be comfortable. Not crazy about Veteran but I am drawing walks and it doesn't seem like crazy numbers. The only thing I'm unsure of, is start on veteran for hitting or adjust my batting to work with AS
