Ill do that then. I trust your input, you have always been solid. I love the game but man its like they fix one thing and break another. Weird year for this franchise. So you use 9 for played games and 6 for simmed games. I guess this brings a happy medium. My only worry know is will it become a MASH unit. I am in contention in year 2, but I want to experience a somewhat realistic experience with player injuries. We all know every Major League club has injured players. There is no way that through 56 games a team could be perfectly healthy. Heck I'm 51 and in all my years of watching baseball it hasn't happened yet

Just a alternative if you don't want to switch for SIM and played, I have mine on 7 for both played a SIM and see a good amount also. Just an alternate option is all.

Hey Armor, I saw you posted a RTTS slider set sometime within the last few weeks but I can't find it. Do you mind posting that to the OP?

Also a quick recommendation, so I sometimes use player lock for my franchise games, would you recommend using the Game slider set or the sim slider set?

This is literally getting absolutely stupid at this point. I mean every single time someone comes back from injury another one gets hurt. First Zunino came back then Iwakuma went down, then Cano came back and went down 4 games later, then Cano comes back and now Segura goes down. I wouldn't mind if injuries effected any other team in the league even remotely close to my own but instead its like my team is a walking infirmary meanwhile the rest of the league has injuries here and there and mainly to minor leaguers. It's getting beyond old at this point watching as one guy after another goes down. This game would have been my first in 2 months that my lineup was healthy only to then have Segura get hurt diving back to first on a pickoff attempt, because apparently my entire team is fragile as hell. In fact he's the second guy to get hurt while retreating back to first, it's damn near unreal at this point.

Yeah I had Schwarber fracture his arm while he was on 2B when the batter walked. I'm wondering what the news stories would be if that happened in real life. I'm taking it as maybe he injured it on a play before and he tried to play through it.

This might be blasphemy but like a bad CPU trade if it is an unrealistic injury I either manually take the injury away or change it to a shorter time. I sometimes do it for the CPU as well. For me it's pretty simple as I want to have fun playing with and against the best guys.

How do you do that?

Not in front of the PS4 ATM but I think go to User Settings, Gameplay then under the general tab you change injuries to manual. You can then go to the disabled list and take an injury away or give one with a shorter time. Don't forget to change injuries back to on after you finish otherwise you won't see any if it is set to manual.

Games have been good for me on AS. It has its highs and lows. I haven't played one game yet where I wasn't totally immersed in to the game. After each game, I am ready to play the next. whether its because I want revenge from the previous game, or I want to continue the experience. This set and this game this year has been the most fun for me to play.


CPU contact should already be on 6 according to the OP. As for the timing, if that helps make the game more enjoyable for you, I say do it. I don't see the need to up it, but that's just my opinion.

Welp, the grim reaper came again for a visit. Two games after Segura went down with a minor injury then Mitch Haniger went down for a few weeks with an oblique issue. This has been the most trying season I've ever experienced on The Show.

Now on a completely unrelated note I'm looking for suggestions on potential trade targets as I sit here at work. I need a SP as Ariel Miranda and Cody Martin aren't going to cut it long term, especially after watching Martin give up 7 runs in 3 IP to a light hitting Phillies lineup. On top of that I need to find a guy to fill the long relief role as Gallardo isn't cutting it either with his near 6 ERA. Are there any guys out there anyone can think of to fill one of those roles? Someone who wouldn't require I gut my already thin farm system for would be ideal.

Yeah only trade I've made so far was a couple prospects over to Cincinnati for Drew Storen so I could finally demote Cishek to AAA once and for all. Now the biggest issues in my pen are Nick Vincent as he always seems determined to play with fire and Gallardo. Everyone else minus those 2 has been fairly solid, although Storen came over and gave up a HR in each of his first 2 appearances lol, his last outing was clean however.

Thanks for the suggestions, I know the three most popular pitchers listed in the trade thread are Gerritt Cole, Chris Archer and Sonny Gray but Gray would cost too much being inter-divisional and same for Cole and Archer so I'm just looking for a solid but unspectacular veteran that I can bring in to provide some innings and not completely **** the bed.
